miftaudeen:You confused? And in "As-salatu", do they prostrate to Muhammad(SAW)?. Yes, linguistically, Islam must be understood by that as well. Islam would have so boring if Ulama were to use your methodology ![]() |
^No, am not retreating. This is scholarly discussion so i need to review my library see if i have something there with respect to this subject. And i think your last post hushed detailed conclusion. |
author=Fundamentalist post=39793547]why did you edit my post before you reposted? |
Fundamentalist:What did i do to you now?. Yes, I saw this thread but must i respond to every thread?. I deliberately ignored because it's pretty much irrelevant to me. Nana Aisha(RA) and Fatima (RA) are both beloved by the prophet(SAW). What Shia think of Aisha is pretty much irrelevant to me. |
This app is very good too. You can download 2 surat at a time in your phone instead of listening directly from their website and losing your gig www.assabile.com |
MrOlai, do all shia practice self mutilation? |
AlBaqir:Ma sha Allah! Never heard of him. But his statement is very true. A brother that i wont mention his moniker, is now absent on NL said early year that khidma is shirk. I just ignored him. These fling fling muslims who memorize verses of Quran and ahadith and think that's knowledge without in-dept meaning of what Islam is really saying is very ridiculous. I did khidma for 20yrs myself maybe in a little twisted manner. But I did it. There are lots of benefits in it. Serving one's Sheik is not tantamount to worshiping them. And of-course, there are some greedy Shuyuk or Imams. They freaking use you like paper towel. ![]() What this sheik ^ said is true. People dont want to serve. They fail to realize that Nabi Lut alaiy salam served Nabi Ibrahim alaiy salam. Likewise, Nabi Harun alaiy salam served Nabi Musa alaiy salam. And so fourth. That's khidma |
Really waste of time repeating this every year. There are 2 ways of acquiring knowledge: Explicit Implicit There are people who only focus on acquiring, knowledge externally. They do not believe anything beyond that. I have no problem with this though. Acquiring knowledge internally and externally is the way to go. What is problematic for those who oppose Maulud, base their argument on simple fact that it was neither celebrated in the lifetime of the prophet nor by the kulafah. This is understandable. But what's is definition of hadith basically as we are taught in primary school?. It's defined as sayings, deeds and silent approval of the prophet SAW. Looking into many ahadith, there are definitely references to maulud from both primary islamic sources. What's is wrong narrating seerat of rosul, dhikr etc on this particular day?. And then go as far as saying is forbidden?. Smh The world must be aware of the son of Abdullahi SAW. It's a continuous reminder. The first and the last maulud I participated was in 1996, three yrs after my "walima". I returned to madrasa for this eld. What did we do? . It was because of that day I learnt the conversion story of Umar khatab.....I didnt have the opportunity to learn it for yrs I was in the same madrasa. We actually rehearsed the story in form of stage play and I was "Alfa" who recited sura Toha when Umar came looking for the prophet. That knowledge sticks with me today. We did rehearsal for like 2 months. So what's forbidden in this?. If some people are doing things that are not in harmony with Sharia in maulud has nothing to do with the essence. I definitely reject the idea that it is innovation or forbidden. |
I am not going to side with anyone but will give my simple view on the issue. This whole issue of Shia not been Muslims, or that they created their own religion is very ridiculous. It's a mere theory borne out of hatred. I think the so called "savior" of Muslims who claim to follow "Quran and Sunna", and all other muslims are mushrik, attach too much to text(theory). I read what Abuamam wrote up there a while back. My take is that's just theory we read over and over. But if you go to Iran and ask them if there is another Quran different from Quran revealed to Nabi Muhammad the son of Abdullah (SAW), or that the current Quran we have is incomplete, they will tell you it is not true. Shia believe Quran is complete and that there is no hidden Quran somewhere. Sheik Imran Hussein, may Allah preserve him went to Iran on scholarly debate on the subject of ilm Akhir zaman. In their discussions, he realized that, the Shia believe the most important event to occur in the Last Age in the appearance of Imam Mahdi but to Sunni, the return of Isa alaiy salam is the most important event. Shia's view here does not in anyway take them outside the fold. Asked further if Shia believe or think Quran is incomplete?, Shia scholars denied the allegation and also denied hidden Quran. So everything abuamam wrote up there is not new. It's what sunni have been throwing around for decades. The whole thing is about hatred. I am sunni practically. Now they accuse Shia for saying Quran is incomplete but if you look at Sunni's litereature, especially on the subject of "rajam" or stoning, they also claim verse of Quran is missing. So who is fooling who?. They do exactly what they accused Shia of. Likewise, Salafi and Sufi, Tijaniya has been around for centuries. And none of the scholars of Tijaniyah believe solati faith is greater than obligatory salat. For some reason, a silly idea crept in tijaniya's literature recently where it is said that solati fatih is greater than obligatory salat. Tijaniyah deny this claim but our salafi brothers continue up to this day criticizing tijaniya and even calling them kufar becus of this. They attach too much to theory writing by some dudes and then hold the grudge against their supposed enemies. I say get over this nonsense. Shia believe in all tenets of Islam as practiced by Sunni as well. So my question is, what is that "new religion" created by Shia as alleged by Abuamam? I have asked this question for some 10 yrs now but cant get answer. What i do know is there are some warped ideologies in shi'ism which do not take one out of islam but just plain silly and it is not even all of them do that. |

daroz:hummm, you think everyone is like you?. Quran does speaks about people like op. Quran identifies some christians who are compationate and are beloved to the believers (muslims). Please read sura Maidah (82) i:e chapter 5 verse 82. Also read chapter 3:113, speaks of not all christians and Jews are alike. There are good and obedient ones who rehears praises of God day and night and are not arrogant. |
Dekatron:I can guarantee you that folks who did the sketches are either jews, atheists or christians themselves. |
op, I thank you for your concern. I understand what you trying to make out of this. See, muslims are not really bothered about it. Islam does not want Muslims be lazy either. Everyday is work day for Muslims As a fella rightly quoted (Quran) up there, it's clear enough that Muslims can work on Jum'ah (friday). The only break we must respect is within the hours of obligatory congregation salat(prayer) which lasts an hour or less. This means Muslims can work before and after prayer on Friday However, for convenience, many seem to take the day off. Like myself, my job's descriptions require that I go from place to place. I usually know my schedules ahead. Therefore, if my location on Friday is close to a mosque and the hours are convenient, I go to work and go to mosque afterward. If my job location is far from mosque or my schedule go south i simply inform my boss i cant make it and he respects that. That's the way i work for years. Recent months however, I work long hours and consecutive days. So I simply informed my "scheduler" to take me off Fridays. That's more convenient for me. What i do disagree with fellow NL comments above me is they have ulterior motives with their comments. They quickly linked this innocent thread with current world crisis. That, i think, is very silly. |
AllNaijaBlogger:My friend, whatz up. Longtime. I dont think my recent post you quoted up there is in any way suggests your opinion. You always go south anytime i go East. smh |
na'am, wallahu alam |
Oh woow, this thread surfaced again. Thread i love so much ![]() |
^^^^ Interesting. Brief Derailment One thing I also learned from here and that I have been trying to see if there is theoretical evidence for it, I easily bumped into it on this thread. I learned it from practical approach from shuyuk about 8 (eight) virtues that prophet Muhammad(SAW) has that other prophets do not have. One of them is mentioned along your references across the board. They said rosul (SAW) does not look back. He sees and knows what's behind him anytime. The hadith quoted above confirm that. But if the hadith is read literally, folks wont pay attention. This is why I like "Islamic Spiritualism". It gives practical implicit knowledge about everything. Here is the hadith: Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (sa) said, “Straighten your rows for I see you from behind my back.” Anas added, “Everyone of us used to put his shoulder with the shoulder of his companion and his foot with the foot of his companion.” [Bukhari] Among other virtues are: * he does not yawn, * when he sits in the company of people, he's always the tallest (even if a tallest man) sits next to him. Just mentioned few. Indeed, he's truly 'AKANDA EDA' - SallahAllahu Alaiy wa a'la aliy wasallam |

^ You welcome |
Usermane vs vex....part what? ![]() @vex, I could have supported your position but because of your inconsistencies on this issue in the past, and especially when you cited Medhi Hassan's theory and also considered albaqir's post a while back on this same subject as conspiracy theory is the reason I am not getting involved btw you two. ![]() So I dey watch the two of you in.......

^ I am not a member of the group. I have never been. I dont really know what's up with it. Mac might be of help regarding that. Thanks |
