Who is behind the Syrian Crisis? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XXIwDr4iGs @ lanrexlan, welcome back. |
Fundamentalist:In your understanding, what is Walima?. Please kindly define it. Thank you |
@ Fundamentalist, your understanding of Islam is very narrow and rigid. You only holding on to a shell (literal meaning of religious texts). How is "walima" an innovation and how is it forbidden?. Do you even care to learn in-dept meaning of the phrase, walima?. Concept Of Walima in Islam is basically reception, feast, etc. When you graduate from higher institution, you do celebrate, isn't?. Your graduation at the end of your NYSC is "walima". This is where you are presented certificate and honored as a graduate of xyz university student. This graduation of course is not meant for everyone. Some people may choose not to register and be part of reception. They only prefer to obtain their certificate and done with it. @ madridguy, it's not mandatory. The Islamic concept of "walima" is simply a reception after completion of recitation of Quran. Some students may choose not to be part of it. Therefore, it is optional. We are nearing the End Of Time where we now have people with half baked knowledge of Islam. They only hold on to a shell and literal interpretation of islamic texts without iota of ilm. To them, anything not written in Islamic text is either bidah or haram. Such approach is vile. Prophet(SAW) spoke of those people to arrive in the End Of Time. He said: "There will come a time upon the Ummat when people will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go further than their throats, (into their hearts)".(Bukhari) @ Fundamentalist, I am sure you have no problem with secular concept of graduation after completion of their studies. But when it comes to Islam, suddenly it's bidah!. What nonsense! Your excuse is "neither prophet(SAW) nor aslaf(RA) did it, therefore, it has no basis in Islam." Such nitwit approach is quiet elementary. The Arabic word Walima (banquet) is derived from the root word Walam, which literally means to gather and assemble. The Arabs used it for a meal or feast where people were invited and gathered. Later, the term became exclusive for the wedding banquet. |

thesource:Op, there is nothing else for me to say. A brother here (albaqir) summed it all. In addition, sometimes our problems' remedies lie with us. In addition to the duas recommended by albaqir, you also need to go back to your mummy. Shower her the best gifts, love, etc. Humble your freaking self and let her pray for you EVERYDAY. Even if you are not together, talk to her on the phone. Let her pray for you over the phone. And be contented with your job. In Sha Allah, things will get better. Quran teaches that after hardship there is ease. And the worst thing to involve in is hypocrisy by ruining helter skelter between religions. Your problem may never solve by that. It only shows you have no faith. A true muslim stands firmly and steadfast on Islam. You have gotta hold on to Allah in time of easy and hardship. |
author=Pyrrho post=39486214]The human mind is capable of adding up anything, creating imaginary symbols appealing to thoughts and imaginations. At least you can reason unlike our fellow humans whose heart is riddled with venom for prophet of Islam for absolutely no reason. What could have been better than a flying house back then? It will save you from back aches, and jet-lags or "horse-lag". You don't have to bother about missing your way... what a convenience it would have been... Every person back then would be captivated by a tale of this sort. Imagine that! Wow.You are intelligent human, believe that. I'm sure everyone here must have imagined a flying car.I am sure ancient folks at the time of Jesus(PBUH) would never have thought of a flying car like this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Yn2uyQJ1jc All it takes is for your pastors to say they rode one this morning and ITS REAL! I'm sure if Mohammed was of the 21st century, he would have rode on a flying limousine.Ma sha Allah. JazakaAllahu Khayran Aladin has a flying mat...Yup Finally, May Allah's Blessings and Peace Be Upon Holy Prophet Muhammad, His Household, His Companions, The Migrants and His Helpers. Ameena! |
arabianights:walaikum Salaam. I'm sorry you are annoyed. I have no idea why is that. |
arabianights:i dont think you understood purpose of this thread. Purpose of supplication is what this thread is about. Read my earlier reply again. |
johnydon22:Sorry buddy, i didnt just find out recently. Besides, i have no reason to answer any of your questions. You have longed here but never agreed to anything we discussed or argued here in months. So whats the point trying to convince you otherwise. To me its a waste of my precious time. Do what Atheists do best man. |
#2 Ask for advice. Men have an innate need to rescue the damsel in distress, and asking for help from him from time to time feeds that need. So whether it is as simple as asking him if you should buy new rims for your car or getting his opinion about career decisions, asking him for advice will take your relationship deeper than just the physical.Humm, everybody gets their opinion of things. You see this #2 really complicated. Rescuing damsel in distress is really like using a guy. Some ladies already have crazy baby daddy who put them through stress and never make them happy. What ladies in such situation do is to have the "other guy" to save them. This can be in form of financial assistance or emotion savior. After she gets her act together or fixes her baby daddy, she dumps the other guy and leave him heart broken. Go back straight to her man. |
@johnydon22, what you think of the incident is pretty much irrelevant. Religion, especially Islam is not your area of expertise. If you want to criticize "Isra and miraj" because your brain can not possibly comprehend God's wisdom, and wisdom behind this magnificent incident, then, maybe you should also question how it's possible for men in modern time buying land in space. Yes, billionaires purchase land in space. How does that sound to you?. How do they get there, what do they stand on, etc. Anyways, you should focus and channel you energy on what Atheists do best. Thats your area man. Atheists don't know right from wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MndOeaKy1xY |
arabianights: i mean every one has cobwebs in their houses right? sometimes lazy to get on stool to remove it.please explain implications as i felt it was natural though to be cleaned like dirt or so.I doubt there is ruling on cobwebs. What I do understand growing up is that there is some sort of respect for spiders (i:e one should avoid killing them if it's not necessary). This theory was deduced from the incident between the prophet(saw) and Abu Bakr(RTA) vs Pagans when the former were hiding in a cave covered by Spider and its cobwebs. The magnificent cobwebs beguiled the Pagans to believe that there is no way possible for their targets to be in there, but in fact, they were there. You know the story don't you?. So this is the only "ruling" in this regard. But if you talking about cobwebs around the house cause by dirt, that's normal and should be treated as dirt. One doesn't need to kill spider if it's present within. Just clean the cobwebs and treat it as dirt. Nothing unique in that. And if spider is there you may want to remove it and throw it out elsewhere. I dont like killing them at all. Quran only seems to talk about spider in parables in (Sura 29:41) In the bone of contention however, there are folks who use dark ways to enthrall their targets. One of the ways is what op is talking about. The solution is very simple as we already highlighted. I do think there is a 'daif' hadith attributed to Ali(RA) to this effect but I am not sure of it. |
truthman2012:Proverbs 26:4 Don't answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are. That's why Muslims dont have your silly time. Quran ((Suratul Baqarah: Verse 120) further says: "And the Jews will not be pleased with you, nor the Christians until you follow their religion. Say; “Surely Allah's guidance, that is the (true) guidance”. And if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have no guardian from Allah, nor any helper" |

AlBaqir: |
usermane:I'm sorry you are offended. I do not see anything offensive in my last post. Perhaps, you are referring to "you don't understand quran at all"?. I don't know how's that offensive. Anyways, some of the ahadith are not necessarily accurate and I don't like dwelling on that to much. Sometimes we misunderstood them. Sometimes they are not properly narrated. As far as I'm concerned, i deal a lot more studying epistemology of Quran and hadith. There are definitely things that are not accurate when it comes to some narrations. You however really off. But If you think a person is sleeping in the grave and remains there until judgements Day, that's your prerogative. Just wait your turn. |
Usermane is too literal as well. In most cases he doesn't connect the dots. When quran speaks sometimes, it speaks figuratively. If he thinks when someone is buried he's just sleeping there as he understands it, that's his understanding. No boxing gloves. Quran is talking to men of understanding. Yes, there are many things beyond our comprehension. No doubt about that. Allah also gives us description of death when we sleep. Mr. usermane, when you sleep and dream what happens?. Sometimes we dream we are in good state having fun and all that yet, our body is right there in our bed. And sometimes we have bad dream....terrible yet our body sleeps right there in our bed. Can you tell what going on there?. You don't understand quran at all. |
^ word! That na drama btw the two shuyuk ![]() Yea, it was narrated by 8yr old boy. smh |

@Albaqir, could you pinpoint exactly what 3 kilafa got wrong that Ali got right other than succession in itself?. Elaborate: What exactly sunni ulama got wrong that Ali opposed to in obligatory duties to Allah other than succession itself?. Is Sunni shahada wrong? Is Sunni 5daily salat wrong? Hajj " ? Ramadan " ? Zakat " ? These are basic obligatory duties towards Allah. Anything wrong with it that Ali (ra) opposed to? . |
Rilwayne001:that's Paul His gesture suggests 'I don't give a f about christianity'. |
You so emotional about this bro. ...good job. |
parisbookaddict:your argument is dead my friend. Quran says 'desist' from saying and believing in "trinity". This is clear from your post up there. On the other hand however, Quran recognizes the worship of Mary, mother of Jesus by some christians. So you made no relevant claim. Trinity is not in your bible but an innovation which many christians believe today. Just like building a place of worship over grave is not in the bible but early christians deviated...which our prophet affirmed. But malvisguy can't understand. |
