Nakali/Nokali is dua. For instance, if you ask me for help or to make dua for you or ask me what dua you can do. I can simply draft from Hadith like Lailah ila Allah 100x Subhannlilah 100x Alhamdulilah 100x and advise you to do it every night before you go to bed. That's nokali.

I can also draft 'nokali' in other form like tell you to recite sura Yasin 10x every morning with niyat. Thats what's called nokali. Nokali is merely slang. Now, you need to make tawba for saying rubbish against Ulama.

Using Quran Only As A Source Of Healing Or A Cure For Physical Ailments: The are a number of verses in the Quran that are used as evidence that the Quran can be used as a healing for physical illnesses. Among these verses are Sura 17/82

"And We send down from the Quran which is a healing(shiifa) and a mercy (rahman) to those who believe. And it increases the polytheists in nothing but loss"

Also sura Fussilat 41/44

Say: "it is for those who believe, a guide(huda) and a healing(shifa)..."


There is some discussion about whether these verses refer to physical diseases or only spiritual diseases.


In any case, the following hadeeth is clear that the Qur'aan is a cure for physical as well as spiritual ailments: Sayyiduna Abu Sa'eed al-Khudree رضي الله عنه narrated that some of the Companions رضي الله عنهم of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم were among an Arab tribe that refused to be hospitable toward them. While they were among that tribe, the chief of the tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion) and they asked the Companions رضي الله عنهم, "Have you got any medicine with you or anyone who can make an incantation (ruqya)?" They answered, "You refused to be hospitable toward us so we will not treat him unless you pay us for it." So they agreed to pay them a flock of sheep. One of the Companions رضي الله عنهم started reciting Sooratul-Faatihah and gathering his saliva and spitting it onto the place of the bite. The chief was cured and his people presented the sheep to the Companions رضي الله عنهم but they said (to themselves), "We will not take it until we ask the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم (if it is lawful for us)."

When they asked him he smiled and said, "How did you know that Sooratul-Faatihah is an incantation (ruqya)? Take it (the flock of sheep) and assign me a share."



But obviously, if this is the only way that a person uses the Qur'aan or turns to it, then he will be missing the greater purpose of the Qur'aan. He will be using it for something for which it may be used, healing physical illnesses, but he will not be using it for something which is much more vital to his welfare: the healing of spiritual illnesses. Allaah سبحانه و تعالى says,

"O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'aan, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing (shifaa') for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your breasts, - a guidance (huda) and a mercy (rahma) (explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc.) for the believers." (Soorah Yoonus: 10:57)


Commenting on this verse, Shaykh 'Abdul-Hameed Ibn Baadees رحمه الله wrote,

"This verse in Soorah Yoonus specifies its healing as being for what is in the hearts, which is where the beliefs reside. This is because that is the main goal of the Qur'aan and it is the foundation for other aspects. This is because if the hearts are healed of evil beliefs and the doubts are extracted from them and the truth is believed and held with certainty, the souls are then purified and the behaviour of the person, both as an individual and his society, will be set aright and they will be ascending the steps for completeness."

Nice one. At least in the 80s or 90s, Nigeria and or African should have developed stable eletricity if they would study sura Khaf. Do you know that modern solar power now developed is technically derived from the sura. Sheik Imran explained at lenght how to source energy from that sura of Quran using photosynthesis.

But progress is always waterdown in that part of the world. Eletricity would have been a thing of the past if the sura is studied and applied, including necessary equipments. Oyinbo took over using the very same Quran that we abandoned and take credit for it. This means Quran is not to be recited mechanically. It's more than that. I was astonished at the magnificent lecture and penetration of the Sura by the sheik on how to derive energy from sun using Quran. That's what i called GREAT IDEA!

AlBaqir, just noticed you also commented on this thread. I 'enjoyed' it actually. Bro, believe me, this is the kind of argument i was in for 4 yrs until 2011. Remember i said the same on "Jinn Stories". Alhamdulilah, Sheik imran changed my view and brought me out of this sectarian conflict.

I tell you, i was like this exactly the way this arguments go. It's funny when the sister said the prophet(pbuh) himself is salafiyyah. "Salafi" linguistically is one thing, its modern approach is another. I am no longer interested in this sort of debate and argument. It hardens heart.

What's Sheik Imran Hussein's view on Rajm?

My bad. I said on this thread that i was going to write my research on this subject (Abrogation and Rajam) here this weekend but i changed my mind because it may not sit well with some muslims. As for Sheik imran, he appears to fault the narration as well with dynamic explanation that you can reason with. I think this video better explains his position. It's only 40 minutes. I implore others to watch this too. I haven't watch this though. Please let me know if this is the correct video bcuz I am not too sure as this is titled 'abrogation'

However, my personal opinion that i wanted to voiced before I retreated was that since rajm is not our Law, it belongs to Judeo/Christian and it's still in their Book. Therefore, "Hikma" - wisdom as you argued earlier, should be Ulama should apply "Rajam" on Jews and Christians living in Muslim countries. Especially folks bashing Islam on NL like truthman, truthgod, ifean, basiclino, channls, and others.

It's their Law. And if they claim Jesus abolished it, Ulama (jury) should simply quote their holy Book where Jesus himself is quoted to have said he did not come to abolish the law or the prophet but to fulfill it. That should be their hikm and that's hukmAllah ta'la on them.

I do not deny the incidents reported in the ahadith regarding ordering stoning to death of adulterers. My concern is the hadith does not say if the events(stoning) took place before or after verse of the Quran i:e flogging was revealed. It appers that Rosullah applied old law because Tawrat was still in effect including qibla (Jerusalem)
