I remember when back home, after we finished heavy dua of sura yasin and many others, one of our ending prayer remarks we said in unison 1000 times was (I will try to type it in arabic...may be inaccurate due to my mobile). Like this........

"allahumo salli ala saidina Muhammadin wa ala aliy wa asabiy wa ali-bayt wa ala kuli min ajirin wa rajahi"

Like Abbaqir said, I also dislike the use of "celebrate", "celebration", "saint" instead of "waliy" and so fourth. Using those english words sound uncomfortable for me. As for mawlud nabiy, if they dont invite you op, dont go, do what they do within shariah or be quiet. Simple, isnt?

Trust me, brother. I followed this thread from 0 level. I just dont want to go there (as in who supports what). i certainly disagree with Saudi on this. Heritages are very important in every culture, religion, race etc.

Hadith clearly talks about this issue as Signs of Last Age. It says (paraphrased). The flousrishing Jerusalem (i:e when Jerusalem is building up, taking political stage in the world, booming etc), medina (and Makkah) will be in the state of desolation (i:e destruction will be taking place in Makkah and medinah, medinah will be in ruin, doesnt have any relevance to muslims, it's in cold storage, barely muslims recognize medina, medina has no role to play in the lives of muslims and non-muslims)

Hadith further says that when this destruction takes place, we should expect malhama (great war, armageddon ). So we are at the pit of great war prophesized by Nabiy Muhammad ( Sallalahu alaiy wa ala aliy wasalam) some 1400yrs ago. I believe the hadith is located in Sunnan Abu Daud ......the book of fitan and malahim etc. I think i quoted the hadith ealier on this thread.

Honestly, they need to stop this nonsense. It's uncalled for. Even if they had to expand and make room for Alhajis and Alhajas, they should at least relocate things rather than destroy islamic heritages. That's llke erasing memories. White folks would never destroy their heritages. They will relocate them instead (if they must).

Of course I'm aware of misconceptions and deviations just like in any other religion. I read and ask questions and I can decipher the truth because it would strike a chord within me as being in line with the Will of Allah.

Yeah! It seems like HD is everywhere in the backyards... got one next door to Costco here too... so I pop in there very often,
I have got 3 HD within 3 miles radius around me, but the Lowes is quite a distance.. not much in New York City area.
Sometimes I wish I can ship everything in that Home Depot when I go there... it's good to have money, which I don't have much.

@Texanomaly... Sorry, no tiling work for me.. too old to do all that bending with all the arthritis playing all kind of games with me.

For me it depends on what I'm buying. Home Depot will take paint back and refund your money, even if it is a custom color. I've done that a few times because when I got it home I didn't like it on the wall. Lowes does not. I found that out the hard way.

That's what i love HD for.

No, you can not let go Hadith. They are part of islam and play very critical important role in the deen.

What you need to learn is proper methodology. There are authentic ahadith, many of them that are in harmony with Quran.

Daef (weak)

Fabricated

Although just because some ahadith are in sahih does not make them authentic. Sometimes, there are ahadith within hadith that are fabricated. Sometimes, a whole hadith is fabricated, yet considered "sound hadith" etc...You may need to study "science of hadith" to begin with. Science of hadith sometimes is not always right but it plays its important role as well.

If hadith is classified daef does not mean it has to be thrown out. Rather it stays at the bottom. It's still useful.

Proper methodology in any matters or affairs, Quran takes precedence over hadith and anything else. You exploit Quran first as much as you can. Then look into hadith that is in harmony with the subject of the Quran to form harmonious whole. Such ahadith are placed on top

If along the line you come across hadith that neither negates nor conforms with Quran (daef), they are placed at the lowest level. Mistakes muslims (some) make today is they revere hadith so much that they have placed hadith over quran in terms of hudood and more.

Hadith should not be used to divide muslims. Quran is universal and it comes first. But to get rid of hadith?, answer is no.

Same thing they did about tesbih (tesuba). At the time of rosul(saw), he would use his fingers to do dhikr. This "rigid-textual ideology" condemned tesbih for counts just because it was not used back then according to them. Very sick.

^well, nothing is guaranteed even if you have everything in place. Your friend in the US might be of help. You will need some sort of a letter from him. This is required by embassy.

Then you really need to come up with convincing evidence that you are going for a visit and return. To proof this, embassy will need you to provide documentation showing that you are a student, business owner etc (that you must return to after your visit).

They definitely need your statement of account (SOA) and or your US based friend's, too. Thats why you need to read the website really good before you do anything. Verify their requirements from them directly before dealing with agent.
