greetings: I don't believe he is sweet talking, or seeking discord among muslims.
I believe he is simply stating his opinion based on his experience.

Meanwhile, i do believe that some muslimahs do it on purpose, to avoid some religious obligations or whatever their reasons are. I knew one that usually says she has to marry a non muslim o, cause she cant fast. So you can imagine how something so trivial can instigate this. These happens because of lack of understanding or in some cases lack of acceptance of the religion to begin with.

I think it's silly for anyone especially Muslims to support either sides in this matter. Devils created devils. Devils fighting devils and devils create confusion. What we seeing requires studies of ilm akhir az-zaman, Islamic epistemology to better understand the situation.
Prophet of Islam(saw) used to pray to Allah to make him see things what they are not what they appear to be. I used to take this prayer lightly until I notice that lots of people don't understand this situation. The same fools they proclaimed " freesyrianarmy"' "moderate group" and then gave them weapons like Santa Claus and applauding them as freedom fighters. Then conveniently so, called them IS with their barbaric behavior. And now fighting the same fools. Don't you guys smell something in this whole thing?. Here is the thing though. They want to constantly put Islam on the news in bad light so that mankind could reject it. It's as master plan strategy. But they plan and Allah also planned and Allah's plan is bound to prevail

oh pls. And can you tell me something about mysterious relationship between you and the big man, usermane?.

MacCantStopMe: Some muslims truly live in fear. I made a simple comment about my experience with my muslim girlfriend and Empiree started accusing me of wanting to sow discord amongst muslim. I just pity the guy.....so he is that afraid of my comments or intentions...

I hope I am allowed to share my experience in this topic.



I am a non-muslim who was almost engaged to a muslim lady. There are many reasons why a muslim lady will go outside her religion to find a non-muslim partner



1) A perception of freedom
Some muslim men are a bit patriarchal and controllling because of their religion. My muslim partner is a fashion designer and she was discouraged by her fellow muslims (especially the males). With fashion, you have to be a bit edgy and also there are a lot of gays in her profession. She was good at it. I supported her even though I have zero interest in the runway.
My muslim girlfriend is a devout muslim. She prayed and fasted but people felt that she was not a "real muslim" because she worked with gays and scantily dressed women at times. She is not gay and she has never worn short sleeved dress or scanty dress since I have known her


2) Western/Secular influence
My muslim girlfriend is a women's right and human rights advocate. She believed in freedom of religion and association. She lived and worked in London with hindus, buddhists, sikhs and christians- why could she not be with any of them? Some have been her best friends since childhood. She also never believed that a muslim woman must wear hijab or burkha. She always wore long sleeved dresses. She dressed conservatively but never wore the hijab/burkha.



It is not that all muslim men are controlling. There are many good muslim men. It is just that when a woman unfortunately grows with some muslim men who try to suppress them, they look for love without suppression elsewhere

Also, some women are naturally inquisitive. I have had a muslima consistently question me about my atheism.




So, in summary, it is only a minority of muslim women that date outside their religion and so, please do not take it as if I am saying that muslim men generally need to be better. I am just talking about some small issue

@ mufutau55, it's possible the light fixtures you posted on p.13 could work with 220v. I went to a local store by me on weekend. I asked customer service if they could work with 220v?. He said most new ones are designed to work with 110v-240v. He said all I have to do is insert 220v bulbs in Africa.

Although of about 10 light fixtures i bought, only one I am not sure of. The rest have up 240v. So i am still lucky. I was able to take pictures in his store. He was like 'sir...no camera allowed'. It's Indian Muslim store. Expensive indeed but magnificent. I see same kinds that I bought.

It would be better for you to address the fact that islam is the worst when it comes to religious tolerance of atheism. It is the least tolerant religion towards atheists as it is practised in many islamic countries......

There is a need for establishing Muslim civil right organizations in Nigeria. Although there are enough Muslim groups but they are mainly basic religious focus. They need to be sophisticated. Add social programs and chapters in all states defending rights of Muslims at local and federal levels just like in the US. These groups need to be innerconnected. These civil right groups need to put differences aside to be successful. Otherwise, plight of Muslims in Nigeria has just started. They will be killing you guys like chicken and nothing you can do about it.

As for usermane, I have not much for you but why do you think Muslims should take you seriously when you suffer from identity crisis. You don't know if you are Muslim or not, your name is crooked. If early Ulama who transmitted Qur'an and Hadith until our generation thought the way you think we would have no Islam today. You would have nothing to show for it either. So keep it up man.
