U see what I'm saying... How many of those u mentioned are Northerners ?? Just very few.. The North seem to have things work well for dem.. Education doesn't necessarily give u success as the case of a Leader of a big nation without a prove of atleast the Weac certificate
Buh lemme list a few from UI and u tell me how many are Northners .
Chinua Achibe, JP Clark,Wole Soyinka, Flora Nwakpa, Christopher Okigbo,Grace Alele Williams, Ishaya Audi. it comes with a joy to get either a first degree or post graduate degree in UI, now to Uniben, there is BabaTunde Fashola, RMD Richard, Victor Waifo, Emmanuel Uduaghan ,James Ibori etc, my brother if I tell u of Unilag, u will get old before I exhaust the list buh I'll spare u some there is Chief Emeka Anyioku, Stella Damascus, Prof Yemi Osibanjo.. In fact of our entertainersrs have a history here... Like Wale Adenuga,Joke Silver,Geneive Nnaji,
Helen Oaul ,Regina Asikia, I know one politician Northerner sha Ibrahim Dankwabo, the list goes on .. Ramsey Noah, Dare Art Alade, Akinwumi Ambode, Gbenga Daniel, Daddy Enoch Adeboye, Ycee, Lil Kesh, Udom Emmanuel... If u want more u tell me!!!!!!

Well it might b true bt to a certain percent.. which is also visible in other regions of Nigeria.. when it comes to schools and education kaduna/zaria is one in Nigeria; Ahmadu Bello University,Kaduna State uni, Nuhu bamali poly,School of Aviation, Nigerian defence Academy,Nigerian Army Deport.. that's in d area of eduction .. in the area of wealth No region in Nigeria as more wealthy men to the north, am not even talking about the ones that went to school and talking abt d billionaires who can't read ABC but are business tycoons, ..
Northern Nigeria Rules Nigeria,Northern Nigeria as d most beautiful girls who dress in modesty still dust d ones that r half naked in other parts of Nigeria, Good road network (will I b wrong if I say best in Nigeria)
Life in the north is super simple and straight forward, the opportunities given to ppl of other tribes, ibo,yoruba,ijaw etc can't be compared to that given to d northerners in other regions of Nigeria..
Food is in abundance and cheap
Shelter is also available and cheap
Business booms well in the north
U get to see prominent/influential ppl like water unlike other parts of Nigeria wia dey carry escorts up and down and if they don't oppress d common man dem never comot 4 house
No traffic wahala cos roads ar good: u can leave ur house 5 mins to ur destination without fear.
Agriculture booms in the north
Honestly Northern Nigeria to me is far better than other regions in Nigeria, I have stayed in lagos almost all my life , served in Osun, been to ibadan , Delta warri. I won't relocate dia even if a job was attached.

The truth is the North ought to be doing better with ur analysis, but UA not smarter or wiser than your Emir Sanusi who disagrees with u!! Ill be surprised if I see an Igbo/yoruba man with a bowl in his hand begging for money, The north have produced more leaders which implies that thev stolen much more than any region from our National purse. ABU Zaria reminds me of Dino's scandal.. ABU is great, but not greater than UI, Unilag,Uniben or Unizik. I could go on to give thousand reasons why d North are under developing Nigeria as a whole,but u won't let sentiments teach u and make u realize that our generation has wat it takes to change that

I read Segun Adeniyi's's Article in This Day Newspaper and decided to share a part that got me thinking, Titled "The Silent Battles of Life"
A father passing by his teenage daughter’s bedroom was astonished to see that the bed was nicely made and everything was neat and tidy. Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the centre of the pillow. It was addressed “Dad“. With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:-

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing you, but I’m leaving home. I had to elope with my new boyfriend, Randy because I wanted to avoid a scene with you and mummy. I’ve been finding real passion with Randy and he is so nice to me. I know when you meet him you’ll like him too – even with all his piercing, tattoos, and motorcycle clothes. But it’s not only the passion Dad, I’m pregnant and Randy wants me to have the baby and that we can be very happy together. Even though Randy is much older than me (anyway, 42 isn’t so old these days is it?), and has no money, really these things shouldn’t stand in the way of our relationship, don’t you agree? It’s true he has other girlfriends as well but I know he’ll be faithful to me in his own way. He wants to have many more children with me and that’s now one of my dreams too. In the meantime, we’ll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so that Randy can get better; he sure deserves it! Don’t worry Dad, I’m 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. At the bottom of the page were the letters “PTO”. Hands still trembling, her father turned the sheet, and read: PS: Dad, none of what you just read is true. I’m over at the neighbour’s house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my school report card that’s in your desk centre drawer. Please call when it is safe for me to come home. I love you!
The message: No matter the challenges you are facing today, it is not the end of the world.

Seriously some of us lack understanding, some persons are asking why "Masquerades" and the likes didnt impair our knowledge, and i ask where are we today? the Op made a valid point, accept it or not, at a tender age, u build your vocabulary and if you children do that with Jenifa's diary, its goina be a sorry case. for the adults it may have few effects for those managing English language. For me, its very fake, doesnt make me laugh, they few i watched was rather educative, buh vocabulary? hell no! Zero for kids and pple managing to speak good english
