4. Mississippi – Missouri River System Spanning 2,340 miles, this is the largest river system in North America. This river system originates in Canada, flows southwards through the US and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. In terms of water volume, this river is the ranks number 10 in the world. This river flows through 8 US states i.e. Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. However, this river system has dozens of tributaries which stretch into 31 US states as well as 2 Canadian provinces.

5. Yenisei River Also spelled “Yenisey”, this is the largest river which feeds the Arctic Ocean. Measuring a total of 3,445 miles, the Yenisei is one of the three great rivers of Siberia. The Yenisei River actually originates in Mongolia. However, only 2.9% of it the river is actually found in Mongolia. The largest section flows through Siberia and empties into the Kara Sea. This section actually has two tributaries – the Angara and Selenga Rivers. The water basin of the Yenisei covers a total of 2.5 million square kilometers.

Yellow River Locally known as Huang He in China, this river is often referred to as “the Cradle of Civilization.” This is because the earliest known civilizations cropped up around its drainage basin in Northern China. It gets its name “Yellow River” from the wind-blown silt and sediment it picks up in its flow – which gives it a yellowy appearance. Locals inhabiting its banks often refer to it as “the muddy flow.” The Yellow river is the second-longest river in China and third-longest in Asia. It total length is estimated at 3,395 miles. The river originates from the Western Chinese Mountains of Bayan Har, flows through 9 provinces and empties into the Bohai Sea in Northern China. Its basin covers a total area of 742, 442 square kilometers.

7. Ob River Also known as Obi, the Ob is one of the three great Siberian Rivers which flow into the Arctic Ocean (the others being the Lena and Yenisei Rivers). This river originates in western Siberia, at the confluence of River Biya and River Katun. It flows a total of 3,395 miles, before pouring into the Arctic Ocean. This is one of the fastest rivers in the world, with an average water discharge of 12,475 cubic meters per second. It is also one of the largest, with its basin covering a total of 2.99 million square kilometers.

8. Parana River Originating in southern Brazil, the Parana is the second-largest river in South America . Covering a total area of 3,030 miles, only the Amazon River is longer. The Parana starts at the confluence of Paranaiba and Grande rivers in southern Brazil. It flows through Paraguay and Argentina, before draining into the Atlantic Ocean at Rio de la Plata. In terms of sheer size, the Parana is one of the largest rivers in the world. It river basin covers a total area of 2.5 million square kilometers. It discharges an amazing 17,290 cubic meters of water per second. This large volume of water has earned River Parana the nickname “Mother of the Sea”.

9. Congo River Formally known as River Zaire, this is river has the distinction of being the deepest in the world. It has been measured to depths of up to 220 m (720 feet). To put this in perspective, the great Amazon River measures 100m (300 feet) at its deepest point. Measuring a total of 2,920 miles, the Congo is the second-longest river in Africa . In terms of water volume, the Congo is the second largest river in the world. Its drainage basin covers over 4 million square kilometers. Thanks to its tributaries, this river feeds the Congo rainforest – which is considered the second largest rainforest in the world, after the mighty Amazon.

10. Amur River Stretching for 2,763 miles, the Amur is the 10th longest river in the world. This river actually forms the border between Russia and China. It originates in Western Manchuria, at the confluence of the Ergune and Shikas Rivers. The Amur actually starts off at a 994 feet elevation, one of the highest starting points for any river on earth. It snakes eastwards towards Russia into and pours into the Sea of Okhotsk. The Amur River basin covers a total area of 1.85 million square kilometers. The river has numerous tributaries including Shika, Zeya, Ergune, and Huma.

11. Lena River Located in Siberia (Russia), the Lena is one of the three great Siberian Rivers. These rivers (which include Ob and Yenisei) drain into the Arctic Ocean. The Lena is actually the easternmost of these three rivers. Stretching for 2,734 miles, the Lena is the 11th longest river in the world. It also has the 9th largest watershed in the world. 12. Mekong River Stretching through Southeast Asia, the Mekong River is the 12th longest in the world. Originating in China, this river snakes through Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. On its journey, it covers a total of 2,703 miles, making it Asia’s 7th longest river. The Mekong River drains a total area of 795,000 square kilometers. 13. Mackenzie River System Located in Northwestern Canada, the Mackenzie is the largest river system in Canada. Arising in the Great Slave Lake, the Mackenzie flows for 4,240 miles through the Northern Territories before draining into the Arctic Ocean. 14. Niger River Located in West Africa, the Niger is the third-longest river in Africa. Thanks to its 2,609 miles, it is also the 14th-longest in the world. This river actually starts in the Guinea Highlands in the country of Guinea. It then snakes through half-a-dozen other countries including Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Cameron, and Niger. William Masvinu, a 43-year-old unemployed man has won his fourth title for being the ugliest man in Zimbabwe. Masvinu from Epworth, who had missed out on last year's title earned 98 points to reclaim the title on Sunday night in Harare, beating Fanuel Musekiwa, 61, into second place. Musekiwa had scored four points than Mazvinu. Previous winner of the contest, Mison Sere, could only land third place after making 91 points. The latest Mr. Ugly, walked away with $500 plus a cow for winning the title. Fanuel Musekiwa, the second runner-up pocketed $200 while Maison Sere got $100 for coming up third. In Masvinu’s words, "No one can dispute that I am the ugliest person in Zimbabwe,' he said after winning the title. 'It was a tight competition since all the contestants were potential winners. Last time, complacency cost me a lot but this time I came well prepared for the contest and I am happy I have reclaimed my trophy’, adding that, I am proud of my ugliness as I was born ugly.’ I now want to take my ugliness outside the country. If there is Mr. Ugly World, I am confident I will bring the crown to Zimbabwe,". Musekiwa who came second promised to work hard next year win the crown from Masvinu. "I will be working hard on my looks and the way I present myself, come next year I am going to take over the crown," he said. After renaming his country to Burkina Faso, here’s Thomas Sankara’s accomplishments, ONLY 4 YEARS in power (1983-87). Thomas Isidore Noël Sankara (21 December 1949 – 15 October 1987) was a Burkinabé military captain, Marxist revolutionary, pan-Africanist theorist, and President of Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987. Viewed by supporters as a charismatic and iconic figure of revolution, he is commonly referred to as “Africa’s Che Guevara” – He vaccinated 2.5 million children against meningitis, yellow fever and measles in a matter of weeks. – He initiated a nation-wide literacy campaign, increasing the literacy rate from 13% in 1983 to 73% in 1987. – He planted over 10 million trees to prevent desertification – He built roads and a railway to tie the nation together, without foreign aid – He appointed females to high governmental positions, encouraged them to work, recruited them into the military, and granted pregnancy leave during education. – He outlawed female genital mutilation, forced marriages and polygamy in support of Women’s rights – He sold off the government fleet of Mercedes cars and made the Renault 5 (the cheapest car sold in Burkina Faso at that time) the official service car of the ministers. – He reduced the salaries of all public servants, including his own, and forbade the use of government chauffeurs and 1st class airline tickets. – He redistributed land from the feudal landlords and gave it directly to the peasants. Wheat production rose in three years from 1700 kg per hectare to 3800 kg per hectare, making the country food self-sufficient. – He opposed foreign aid, saying that “he who feeds you, controls you.” – He spoke in forums like the Organization of African Unity against continued neo-colonialist penetration of Africa through Western trade and finance. • He called for a united front of African nations to repudiate their foreign debt. He argued that the poor and exploited did not have an obligation to repay money to the rich and exploiting – In Ouagadougou, Sankara converted the army’s provisioning store into a state-owned supermarket open to everyone (the first supermarket in the country). – He forced civil servants to pay one month’s salary to public projects. – He refused to use the air conditioning in his office on the grounds that such luxury was not available to anyone but a handful of Burkinabes. – As President, he lowered his salary to $450 a month and limited his possessions to a car, four bikes, three guitars, a fridge and a broken freezer. – A motorcyclist himself, he formed an all-women motorcycle personal guard. – He required public servants to wear a traditional tunic, woven from Burkinabe cotton and sewn by Burkinabe craftsmen. Woman Wrapper! Women rapper Shea? You must have either been guilty of calling someone that name or yourself been called it at times. Let me tell you a few things. 1. Every human being you ve ever seen with your eyes had at a time dwelled in the stomach of a woman except on rare very rare cases 2. When God created man, there was a need to create a woman, because a man is "insufficient" and has a vacuum needed to be filled by a woman(biblically) 2. When God created a woman, why wasn't a helper for her created? Or made? Well, my view is this, a woman is usually contented with whatever she has. Now on the issue of "woman rapper" Having a female friend(s) as a guy is not bad, the type of relationship been exhibited is what matters. Personally I prefer female friends you know why? * Once you have a female friend, a friend by the real sense of the word be it wife or girlfriend(s) they are committed to it, they won't envy whats yours especially when you acknowledge and appreciate them in any way at all. A male friend as a guy always have the tendency to want to achieve the same success or even more than what his close pal has, even if he doesn't go about it the wrong way. I've attended some weddings and every thing seems easy for introverts like "Us" to do, but my heart pants when the wedding hosts are invited to dance, the heart isn't racing fast because of their dance moves, but how on earth will I cope when I'm on stage that fateful day with my bride. Lol, believe it or not, we re plenty in this category, who only know the conventional left/right dance. I quickly thought ...I could employ "Keffy the dancer" or any other willing and patient teacher to help. Another problem arose which is what dance step can I learn in this era of scary dance moves that abound. The funny occurrence I noticed in all the weddings I attended is the spraying of money when the couples dance. Finally I concluded " if ya coming for my wedding, lemme warn you.. *I will dance my left and right moves o* with additional swags sha..
