And we are more than ready to do again. The two reasons why the Igbos want us the south south to be part of them is not for d sake of d Igbos liking or loving us more than the Hausa's or the Yoruba's. It is purely for economic reasons. The Igbos have little or no Oil resources. Again the Igbos have no assess to the seas and waterways to advance their commercial and importation business. Just check from Calabar straight to Edo and down to Ondo and Lagos States are all on the mouth of d Atlantic ocean which very good for Cargo business through d sea. But the Igbos have no such advantage here. define south-south. could u pls tel me any cardinal point in geography dat is named "south-south". Seun: Fellow Nairalanders,
Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.
We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:
I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.
Thanks, Seun (Founder Of Nairaland). This is not right bro, there's freedom of expression |

Lyoncrescent: Thank you.
So We can both agree Biafra is made up of Imo,Ebonyi,Enugu,Anambra and Abia ? No More, No Less ?
Can we also agree that Biafra is an Ibo Movement and as such every other tribe in Nigeria should be fully excluded from the biafra movement ? wat we mean in essence is dat ss re included,bt we'll neva beg or force them to b part of it..get dat,if they don't want then let them suit themselves |
Politics › Re: Face To Face With Nnamdi Kanu, The Man Behind Radio Biafra - Sun News by endoski: 4:03pm On Dec 09, 2015 |
Lyoncrescent: Biafra is an Ibo Movement. It is sad that Nnamdi and the rest of the people who want biafra cant see this clear distinction.
The Biafran states are Imo,Ebonyi,Enugu,Anambra and Abia. It is tragic that Nnamdis Version of biafra includes Bayelsa,Rivers,Delta,Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers who have a lot of tribes that are not Ibo.
Biafra is a south east movement but it is greed of Oil resources that is making Nnamdi and his cohorts want to annex the south south as part of Biafra even though the south south are not Ibos.
If Biafra as marketed by Nnamdi is made up of only the south eastern states, i dont see why they shouldnt be allowed to go.
Afterall , Imo and Abia have small Oil and it will be more money for the other states left as part of Nigeria to share. Then go to hell wit dat useless oil. igbos re lucrative nd can hence do without it..for ur info oil is naw worthless in the world cos the world is gradually in an advanced stage, ask urself wen last america bought ur nonsense product. u guyz re jst too dumb for mi liking.. Igbos as a whole hv other resources namely coal(in abundance),lead, limestone, tin nd lead(pb) |

naijapips02: I am going to base this on two recent experiences. These experiences do not in any way form my judgement. I've always know that this is how we are and these are just two out of the many.
Just recently, precisely Last week, a young man sent me a whatsapp message alleging that he got my contact online. He said he knew me as a blog owner and web developer hence seek my criticisms in a new website he was building. He gave his email login so that i can log into his blogger account and I discovered from his email that he is a brother.
I had to tell him the trust. The Blogger site was as amateurish asf. He felt bad, so i offered to help him redesign it for Free, but only if he would agree to migrate it to wordpress because i feel more comfortable working with wordpress.
He agreed to do this, but didn't know how to get a host and a domain. So i offered to help him purchase hosting. We agreed that he would pay 3k into my account so that i would help him buy the host and set up the website for him for FREE.
Fast-forward to me sending him my account details. He asked whether i was igbo, which i replied, 'Yes'. And after that, i didn't hear from the brother again for like 2 days.
I didn't really bother about it. I thought that maybe he's not made the fund yet. So that evening, i just decided to chat him up.
I only said, 'whatsup Bro' then his next reply shocked me.
'Look Bro, revealing my mail details or probably chatting with you doesn't make me a fool'
'av been in this game for years now, for years now........as it stands, you don't have what i am looking for'
I was like, Bro, Seriously? For something i offered to do for free. Something i charge clients upwards of 20k to do.
The second experience was like a few months back....i think it should be in June.
I had this app/solution i was designing for Telcos. I had my design script, Pitch, proposal and everything ready.
So i went to Linkedin to get contacts that would help me push it up. I first tried igbo names working in Places like MTN and Etisalat. No reply came. Then i started trying everybody.
One day, i got a message from one Hadjiya. Won't mention her name here. She's a top executive in Etisalat. She said she read my Pitch and thought it'd be nice if I get to meet her MD in Lagos. Men, i was so overjoyed.
The D day came, and i had to travel all the way from Aba. When i got to her office, i understood that she's a very big shot. She's a manager in her channel. After the initial introductions and stuffs. She took me round the office to go and me their IT unit, and unfortunately, they were in a very important meeting. She then took me to the cafeteria and bought me lunch.
When the meeting was over, she took me to the IT section and introduced me to the IT's manager. I pitched my solution to the IT's manager and he really liked it. He said since my solution had to do with data consumption, i should meet the man incharge of Data and stuffs. He personally took me to the dude. I won't mention his name but He's Igbo.
Once i got there, the first question he asked me was my name and I told me. After that, the guy didn't even look up from his laptop. I beg him to sit and he reluctanctly offered me a sit. Then asked what my solution was about. I was still in the middle of explaining and he cut me short. Saying that he's had me and that he'd get back to me. I offered to give me the hard copy of my proposal that i had in hand so that he can go over it at his free time but he blatantly refused. I didn't want to cause a nuisance so i had to leave.
Why did i bring these up? Simple. Igbos do not trust their own. An igbo always see his fellow igboman as his competitor, not his brother. He would rather have a yoruba / Hausa man as his superior in any project than his fellow igboman.
The same cannot be said of the Hausas Or Yorubas who value brotherliness more than anything. prove to me dat u're igbo nd type a sentence in igbo language |

VickJames: The south south region are helpless and that is the pure fact.
you listed a whole lot of things and what is the effect of what isaac adaka boro or what happened to ken saro wiwa? all these men lived in dreams and when real decision were made, those things they fought were taken into obscurity.
how many years did the midwestern region last?
where is the niger delta republic?
You claim to be from south south but i bet you have not really been to the different local governments where oil is been drilled. these people constitute one of the poorest people in this country.
your south south is helpless because if you are powerful as you think and bring senseless history, 80percent of the oil wells will be owned by the people from the region and not from faraway north.
if you think that south south isnt helpless, your brotherly in Udi would not have been killed by obasanjo government.
the south south are helpless because with the northerners drinking your oil wells, no man in the south south have the license to mine gold in sokoto or in osun. but they have license to head the refineries in warri, ph. a northerner is also the md of shell nigeria.
so, you are powerless and helpless. they called your brother a drunkard.
they locked your freedom fighter, asari in an underground prison.
they killed your former freedom fighters.
yes you are powerless and helpless nyc one bro, tank u for speaking the bitter truth. This is the problem i hv wit those in the ss,instead they join biafra nd make tins easy fkr themselves nd they're there dying in silence, they're all bunch of dullards. nyc write up bro. |

PhonePlanet: There are different types of phone users based on how they get a new phone and how the use it. and these set of people are....
1. I see, I like, I buy! These set of people just buy any phone, anyhow, anytime, any amount. Based on "that's what is trending now" or they just like the phone when they saw it. Today iPhone 6, tomorrow galaxy s6 edge, next tomorrow Blackberry priv.
2. Annual Upgrade These set of people have one particular brand of phone they use. They just buy a new version of it once its out. And use it till the next version is out. Is this set of people you find on queue waiting for sales to begin on the next version "iphone" especially. I still don't see why I go line up for days just because I wan buy the latest iphone.
3. Bi-annual upgrade These set of people don't buy latest flagships, they buy flagships of 2 years old. For example, when galaxy s5 came out, my friend bought s3, now there is s6, he is using s4.
4. Team london used These set of people don't buy new phones, they prefer to buy refurbished phones or 2nd hand. And most times they buy phones irregularly, any time they enter market, they swap of sell their current phone and buy another 2nd hand phone. If you mention say you like their phone, the next thing they go tell you is "you wan buy am? Na for sale o!"
5. Phone Gift These set of people don't even buy phones. The phone they use were given to them as a gift, and they would use that phone till the next "phone Gift" arrives..and their phone dey hardly lost or spoil...cos na gift so they go dey carry the phone like egg. People that won their phone in a contest also falls here
6. Heritage These set of people don't also buy phones, they collect ex-phones from their parents or uncle/aunty. Also people that fall here are those who just go home and pick any phone lying around that no one is using, clean and use. Una know yourself. You don dey eye your uncle s6 edge Because say e be "annual upgrade" and s7 dey launch February.
7. Maximum output These set of people buy phone once, and use the phone till it develops fault or get stolen or just lost or it becomes completely unusable before they consider buying another. Some of them, you have to beg them.."Oga, you still dey use this phone? This you phone don try na, abeg buy new one"
ADD YOURS!!! u are vry correct, all the listed above re true.me i follow for 7 |

I'm a northerner and I support the idea of compelling all political parties (or major parties) to zone 2019 presidential ticket to the south east... And if we so believe that a south easterner can not rule this country, I think then we should let them go.
The South East region has suffered a lot of marginalization and I know very well that the Northern part of this country ll not take half of what the Eastern region has endured to this moment.

Politics › The Greatest Irony Of Nigeria(a Must Read) by endoski(op): 11:46am On Nov 25, 2015 |
Nigeria is a diversified country with ova 250 ethnic groups(3 major) and 500 languages. igbo, hausa and yoruba are the dominant ethnic groups. with the structure of nigeria, ethnicity nd tribalism happens to b high at its peak whch is a major factor that has pulled nigeria down today. we are called "one nigeria" yet there's no evidence of dis concept working. I happen to be an igbo from the east and i've come to learn alot about what iz goin on in the country, the 3 major tribes hate each other passionately bt the hatred exhibited from the hausa and yoruba on the igbos is alarming and unusual and the question is why ?. For instance i've seen cases of media tribal war here on nairaland, facebook and twitter,i've evn heard live conversations. I've heard igbos been tagged as drug dealers, prostitutes, land invaders, crooks, armed robbers, dominators, cheats and so many other vulgar words which is very unpleasing. i've seen and heard many instances where igbos are been blamed for bringing shame to the country by committing all soughts of atrocities in europe nd other parts of the world. Now the big question for every nigerian: if igbos are this bad,are this hated and denounced..why then are they attacked when the issue of biafra is raised .there seems to b fear nd panic each time that word "biafra" is mentioned..why not let them secede if they are not important to you. This have made me come to the conclusion dat igbos are finally the pillar holding nigeria but other tribes tend to pretend but yet die in jealousy deep in them. igbos to me are a set of hardworking, friendly, ambitious nd devoted people that is why nigeria will fight to any length to keep us "one".this is truly the greatest irony in the country. Now ova to u guyz, speak ur opinion on this |
