Trust me on this. What you are experiencing is the gospel truth. Learn from it. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so don't allow desperation to cloud your better judgement. Anyone claiming you can make a fortune out of blogging or adsense is lying. Don't let anyone fool you into buying any book claiming blogging or adsense will make you rich, because it wont.

Am I missing something? I blog all the time for FREE. I don't have to pay anyone a penny to do so. Therefore, why would one need to invest N500,000 into something everyone else does for FREE?

abeg where is my AK47? Some people need to be taught a very important lesson - one they will never live to learn.

.NET
It is your kind of talk that feeds the violence. You have to learn to talk peace. Gone are the days when might ruled without opposition. The world we live in today is different. Nobody has monopoly on power anymore. Even mighty America trembles at the thought of a Jihadist suicide bomber with a nuclear bomb strapped on his body ready to blow himself up in down-town NewYork. Therefore, America talks to her enemies and tries to avoid conflict. Learn how to get along with your neighbour peacefully in todays changed environment without your AK47. What is needed is dialogue, not sabre rattling.

CrimeNigerian Couple Arrested With Human Parts by Energy48(op): 12:12pm On Sep 02, 2011
http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=217658

Nigeria’s image was again suffered a horrible blow in Ghana on Thursday following the arrest of one Alhaji Rasheed Bello and his wife by the police in Yamoransa, near Cape Coast. Bello’s activities in the last few days became suspicious to his neighbours and since he was known to be a herbalist, no one dared confront him, rather, they called the police and reported their suspicions.
Unknown to Bello and his wife, the police had placed them under surveillance. According to the District Police Officer, “after we got the tip off, we got into the house and surprisingly, we saw pieces of human parts including hands and legs in a Ghana Must Go bag still dripping with blood. They were cut in a way that that gives you an impression that they were actually meant to be cooked. We also saw two human heads, which makes us believe that the victims are two.”
Street Journal gathered that when 42 year old Alhaji Bello realised that his secret moves were about to become public knowledge, he allegedly made an attempt to bribe the policemen. And going by the Ghanaian constitution, his effort at bribing the police would only worsen his case as he might also be charged for attempting to bribe officers in a bid to prevent the law from taking its course.
Mr. Stephen Ando Kwofie, the District Police Officer disclosed that as soon as Bello’s wife, Fausatu saw that policemen already had her husband, she tried to escape but was quickly apprehended.
The news which has started travelling across the whole of Ghana has left many Nigerians sad. Street Journal also gathered that there are more than one million Nigerians doing business and schooling in Ghana.

What's difference does it make? Find something better to do with your time.
Do you have a surname Eko? What difference does it make if you did? I am sure you will agree a surname helps to connect you with your family.

Well, so does the name of the people. The name of the people is their surname. If you get it right, the people get to know all members within the family. Likewise in this case, by getting the surname right, most southern Nigerians including the Igbo and the Yoruba will begin to see they are indeed not different ethnicities but rather they are ONE people from a common origin and thus UNITE them even more.

Now I have explained it to you, do you still think it makes no difference to know our proper name?

BusinessRe: Why Is Africa Not Developing? by Energy48(m): 1:40pm On Jun 24, 2011
Rossikk:
AFRICA IS DEFINITELY DEVELOPING, although not as quickly as some expect.

You cannot seriously compare the Africa of today with the Africa left by the colonialists.
We have come a long way. Infant mortality rates have fallen, more people have access to clean drinking water, electricity etc,  there are FAR MORE roads, bridges, universities, and other infrastructure.

All this can be confirmed by a visit to the UNICEF site featuring national statistics on basic indicators.

People forget that only a generation or two ago, most of our people were just poor illiterate village peasants, including most of our grandparents and great-grandparents. Only the tiny elite 0.1% knew what electricity was, ie the white rulers and their black cabals!! So we have made substantial progress since independence, gentlemen. We will definitely get there with time.   wink wink
My friend you are making a serious mistake in your analysis; the world have moved on.

During the time of the colonialist that you speak of; they the colonialists had also not developed to the stage they are today.

Most of the world has developed since those colonial years more than 50 years ago. Even countries that got independence the same time as African countries have developed rapidly and left Africa far behind. Take for instance Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and so on. They got independence the same time as most African countries. But look at them today; they are way ahead of any country in Africa. Therefore, for you to look at how far we are lagging behind in Africa and say we are developing as the rest of the world says a lot about the mentality that is holding us behind. Your outlook and expectations for Africa for that matter is very mediocre indeed.

Africa as it is now is the laughing stock of the world make no mistake about that. We are at the bottom in terms of the planet's development. Remember this is the second biggest continent on the planet with a billion people, yet we contribute absolutely NOTHING to the planet's development. We are so poor and weak we depend on countries that are far smaller than this continent for food,  African citizens are all over the world scrapping for a living. Many Africans are braving dangerous oceans just to get to the white man's land to eat at the droppings from the white man's dinner table. And you call that development? Stop deceiving yourself.

For you to ignore the examples I have outlined and claim that Africa has developed along with the rest of the world, reminds me of an ostrich with its head firmly buried in the sand and thus fools itself into thinking everything is okay when in truth it is far from okay.

Abeg make we hear something. Ghana this Ghana that. How many people talking here have actually stepped foot in Ghana? Of those, how many have been outside Accra? My guess is less than 0.05% of contributors.

''Oh in Ghana there is no power failure! Light is constant 24/7.'' Yippeeeeeeee!

But what you don't know is that less than 20% of Ghanaians are connected to their national grid. Villages with electric poles traversing them are virtually non existent. So a full 80% of Ghanaians have never set eyes on a light bulb. They are left, abandoned in their villages, as Nigerian visitors pour into Accra to marvel at the window dressing masquerading as a ''wonderfully great economy''.
Electricity coverage in Ghana is about 70 percent. Not 20 percent as you allege. Practically every village in Ghana is connected to the national grid.

N101 I will also suggest you should read http://mawuvi.com/sample-pages and know your true identity before dismissing the Bible as a foreign culture.

FamilyRe: What Is Marriage? by Energy48(op): 3:23pm On Jun 21, 2011
N101:
You've got it wrong.

Marriage has existed in a number of forms over generations and across cultures. That commitment was reflected in a number of ways; in some cultures it was represented by jewellery, property or tokens.  Our modern-day equivalent is a marriage certificate.  Even traditional marriages can get that same piece of paper.  It is about the state recognition of a couple's relationship, not so-called Western biblical teaching.

There is no such thing as "Western tradition in biblical teachings".  Even if there is, we have the capability to translate from the original text into our own vernacular, we don't need so-called "Westerners" to do it for us.  We know the right thing to do morally and culturally, even if we don't do it.

If you've read your bible properly, a lot of what has been translated comes from Middle Eastern and Jewish perspectives, even down to the Trinity. So the roots of Christianity are not Western in any way.  I'm sure you're one of those people who believe you hold all truth and anything else is from the devil right?
I am NOT talking about what different cultures did to signify marriage between man and woman. My point is to do with how Africans who have embraced the Christian faith marry believing that what they do is from the Bible and thus ordained by God. That is what I'm talking about.

What you have to address is whether what I've said is contrary to what the Bible teaches. You will find everything I've said is exactly what is in the Bible. Rather it is what many so-called Christians do which is contrary to biblical teaching but rather based on western tradition.

If we want to worship God, we have to go by what the Bible teaches and not what the white man tells us. Because if we do things based on western Culture and regard it as Christian, then the God we worship is the white man and not the God of the Bible.
FamilyRe: After Our Introduction, She Wants To Leave Me! by Energy48(m): 1:36pm On Jun 21, 2011
phymba:
Dear Nairalanders,

I am an Ibo man who has dated a yoruba lady for 6 years now. Six months ago we

had our full introduction. Things were good. We have even fixed a date agreed to

by both families and printed our wedding card. A few days ago we had a

misunderstanding. She confessed to me that while we dated, she slept with another man

because she had financial need and i was not buoyant then (she did not ask me for

this cash.) This incident was almost three years ago

In the confusion of the moment, i voiced  out loud that i do not think our wedding

would hold. I was confused how this could have happened. She was in agony and really

grieved. She went home weeping and informed her parents. Though later in the day, i called

to tell her that all was forgiven since she already confessed. I was willing to go

ahead. I visited her people since she involved them and explained that i was

willing to carry on.

Now the lady says she has doubts concerning my affections and on

this doubt cannot continue with me. I love her and am ready to go through.I have begged

her and done everything i know, she still insists that she has doubt because i

hesitated in my forgiveness. Somebody help me out here before our issues becomes

"stories that touch".

Where did i go wronghuh Please, please advice me!!!!
You coming across as a very weak man. Be warned women don't like that in a man. When she admitted she cheated you should have thrown everything at her including the Kitchen sink and kicked her to the kerb. That way she would understand you are not the sort of man she can toy with. Now you say SHE walked away and left you and you are whining about it? PLEASE!! Stop embarrassing yourself! Where is your backbone man? Let her go! Carry on with your life and act like she is not the only woman in the world. That way she will respect you and even come back with her tail between her legs.

FamilyWhat Is Marriage? by Energy48(op): 11:54am On Jun 21, 2011
Christians should note that intimate (sex) relationship with someone is what constitutes as marriage between a man and a woman, so says the Bible. A piece of paper denoting marriage is a Western idea that is touted as a biblical teaching. Thus it is offensive to God to teach Western tradition as biblical teachings. In fact this replacement theology which contaminates the Biblical truth is what has led to the explosion of promiscuity in society. People feel they can sleep around and as long as there is no piece of paper (marriage certificate) they are not responsible for their actions. Nowhere in the Bible is such a thing allowed among God's people. So please take note; when you sleep with someone, according to the Bible that person automatically becomes your wife or husband. People operating outside of the Biblical teaching can claim they are Christians but the Bible makes it clear, they are not. God REJECTS such people and denotes them as children of the Devil.

Christianity EtcRe: Bible Contradictions: Should Christians Judge Or Not? by Energy48(m): 8:00am On Jun 21, 2011
wetu, this might come as a shock to you. True Christians do not see any contradictions in God's word. That is why they can apply it in their daily lives with no difficulty and live in harmony with God's word. People like you who see contradictions see it because you are either looking for ways to break Biblical commands or simply looking for fault. Think about that.

Take for instance what you are asking. A true God fearing man or woman will know the Bible is talking about VIGILANTE behaviour and is admonishing Christians not to engage in it. The Bible is not saying you shouldn't SHUN people with immoral ways, because you should. The Bible makes it very clear, bad associations spoil good habits. That is not only a Biblical command but a FACT of life as well. One bad apple will contaminate a whole barrel of good apples in no time at all. Therefore, it is only a fool that will see the danger of immorality and still associate with it.

There are no contradictions in the Bible. They only exists in the minds of those seeking ways to break God's commands.
