Obviously you need glasses to read huh? ![]() The topic is about Yoruba & Igbos. It is not talking about Fulani. ![]() Unless you wanna tell me YOU can look at Nigerians and 10 out of 10, tell who is Igbo and who is Yoruba. |
pleep:Look different. Are you kidding me? Are you honestly saying YOU can look at Nigerians and tell which tribe they belong to? That is impossible my friend. Don't even go there. |
Rossikk:I hope you are aware what you read were sample pages of a 350 page book. Even though it gives very accurate information, because they are sample pages it means a lot of information is missing. The sample pages simply give you a glimpse of of what is contained in the book. Please to get the full story you need to read the complete book. Thanks! |
BTW Sweetnecta, Abraham being Hebrew does not mean his people were also Hebrew. Again you will not comprehend what I am talking about until you get to understand what the name Hebrew means. If you want to know what the name Hebrew means; read the sample pages. The answer is in there. After that you and I will have a more meaningful discussion. Until then, it is pretty obvious to me that you don't know what you are talking about. Please, take some time to read the sample pages and then we will talk. |
^^ Do you know the meaning of the name Hebrew? You need to understand what is meant by Hebrew before questioning whether Abraham was the first to be called Hebrew or not. |
aletheia:I am afraid there is no kindle version and there isn't going to be one. With regard to your point about the Israelites that went to Egypt, this is extensively covered in section 2 of the book under the heading, "the reverse exodus of the Hebrews." It follows the Israelites brief stay in Egypt. However, following the Babylonians invasion and destruction of ancient Egypt, the Hebrews fled further into Africa south of the Sahara. |
babe5120:Sounds like you have too much free time on your hands. Do you work? If so, it is not taxing you enough; get a second one. If you are |
wetinudeyd:I am not woman. Are you telling me the wife deserved a beating because she changed when he abandoned her? What kind of CRAZY thinking is that? |
r231:TELL YOUR FRIEND First of all, your friend doesn't hate this woman. In fact he still loves her dearly. That much is obvious from his rant about her. The mere fact that you posted this here looking for other people's advice is proof positive of that. There is a fine line between love and hate, sometimes we can confuse one for the other. You have strong feelings for her and those strong feelings should tell you you are still madly in love with her. It is only those we really care about that bring out such emotions in us. Think about it. Do you have any friends you don't like? Do you care about what they say or do? Of course not! Because you don't care about them anymore. However, if you cared about them, then you will notice whatever they say and do. It is that simple. Therefore, the mere fact that you have these strong feelings towards the woman shows how much you still love her. Reading your comments, it is your friend who has to change; not her. According to you, she has matured into a woman and because he did not like that, he beat the crap out of her? That was really selfish of him and a silly thing he did. The Police should have arrested him, locked him up and thrown away the key to his cell. Listen up! She is a mother now, she can't continue to remain the fresh faced girl that he fell in love with and married. Once upon a time a time, she was a flat chested broomstick. Then God gave her hips, and bosoms etc. that turned her into who she was at the time he got attracted to her and he fell in love. If she had remained a broomstick, he would never have noticed her. That was a change she went through. Did anyone give her grief for that? No! Because that was a necessary change she had to go through to become a woman for him to marry. Now she has changed again because she has children and this time, the change is what it takes to raise and nurture her children. And he beat her for that? He is a very self-centered selfish man. Tell your friend to go and look for this lady and beg her on his knees to forgive his bad behaviour. After that he should TALK to her. By talking, I mean LISTEN to her. Hopefully the two of them will re-discover the friendship and the love they once had for each other. Oh and by the way, whatever happens, he shouldn't abandon the children because he can't have their mother. |
Toktee:What is really defeating you is lack of knowledge of your true identity. Knowledge is power. If you have the knowledge of the origins of you and your sweetheart you can turn things in your favour. I posted some information on this at https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-680899.0.html |
Sweetnecta:You lost me there Sweetnecta. What exactly is your point? |
^^^ Hey tpia@, stop beating down on those you disagree with. Leave people to express their thoughts in peace OK. Are you some kind of intolerant dictator or something? |
2blunt:Best advice anyone can give you. Take it or leave it. ![]() |
Hotie Tima:It is a natural thing that when you love someone and you meet other members of his/her family, you will be attracted to them as well. Remember the physical qualities that attracted you to the person you are with, is present in these family members as well. Those qualities may be even more pronounced, and you'd find yourself falling head over heels with the wrong brother or sister. Also the fact that their relative found you attractive means they are also going to be attracted to you in return. Thus it should not come as a shock to find, you like your partner's brother or your like your partner's sister and they also fancy you. What you do about those feelings is what matters. Liking people does not mean you should sleep with them. Rather the fact you all have this attraction for each other should allow you to build strong friendships and become a strong family where you the new partner, is greatly loved within your partner's family. If you find you are weak and can't stay faithful to the one you are with, but wish to have an affair with some other member of his or her family, the best thing to do is to avoid the family altogether, STAY AWAY. Because if you don't, and you are caught or the affair becomes public knowledge, all that attraction they have for you, will quickly turn to hate. Better to use your head and do the right thing than allow emotions to wreck your life and that of those you claim to love. |
To those claiming God loves unconditionally, that is a BIG FAT LIE. Concerning the Israelites whom God chose to be his people; he laid out his conditions at Mt Sinai before having a relationship with them as people. If they broke it, then the relationship was over. In fact, later on in the Bible, we read that when the Israelites broke those conditions, God first sent his prophets to warn them. When they refused to listen, he sent the dreaded Assyrians to destroy them. Later on he unleashed the Babylonians and the Romans to finish them off. Thus, for anyone to claim God loves unconditionally shows they do not have a clue what the Bible teaches and therefore, are just foolishly parroting what some charlatan Pastor has told them. There is nothing like unconditional love on this planet. Even the greatest love you'd find, which is between mother and child, has limits. |
nakedwire:Sure they did have good times together. Five children for the same man should tell you there was real sexual passion between the two of them. They fancied each other as hell. That will also explain why even though the man had a tiger by the tail, he held onto her. Her jealousy and the fact he went back for her after they were separated says it all. |
It is ignorance of our history that makes people assume Yorubas and Igbos are different ethnic groups. The truth is they and other southern Nigerians are actually one people separated by dialects. Please read the answer to our true identity at the link. http://www.tiny9.com/u/Hebrews |
babseg:If you are truly interested in knowing your origins, read the information at the link about your true identity. http://mawuvi.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=60&Itemid=53 |
homerac7:In this day and age of the suicide bombers, military might usually makes things worse. Remember you can catch more flies with honey than swatting them. Dialogue is like that. On the other hand, unleashing the military on religious zealots only recruits more cadets for the terrorists, Think about that. |
emmatok:That sums it all up. As the saying goes; show me your friend and I will tell you your character. The two women are plainly out of control because both of them seem to be married to very weak men. |
J12:Not if we rise up to defend the poor man. We should not sit down idly and allow evil to triumph over good. People all over Nigeria should raise their voice to defend the poor man. |
After reading the son's account, I feel like crying that this misguided woman should bring this amount of unnecessary humiliation and pain upon her own FIVE children. What sort of woman would do this huh? |
otokx:Stop saying these things about women otokx. Men should marry for love and not choose a wife like going to a cattle market to select the best meat. What happens if the meat does not taste as well as you thought, dump her for another? PLEASE! BTW, what you are saying is not true either. Many of us had a good education because our mother's who incidentally never went to school, saw to it that their children had a good education. Apart from that they were better wives and mothers than the modern girls with all their high education. Now that is a fact. Therefore, equating good education with a good wife is pure fallacy. |
otokx:Surely you jest. Because that is one dumb statement to make about the criteria for choosing a |
Jenifa_:Oh yeah? Obviously you don't know what is in the Bible? Read what God said should happen to a woman who falsely accuses a man of violation. |
Jenifa_:I agree with you 100 percent. I would not like anyone beating up on my mother, I would not like any man beating up on my daughter, and I would not like any man beating up on my sister. Hence, I don't think it is right for me or any man for that matter, to beat up his wife. So WE ALL agree, beating up a wife is a bad thing to do and if a man is caught doing so, should be punished severely. However, from the discussion, what I observe you Jenifa fail to take on board is; it is a thousand times worse thing to do, for a women to ruin a man's life with LIES. Even in the Bible, God commands women who do this should be put to death. |
Jenifa_:Touchy! Touchy!! LOL! Calm down dear! ![]() |
Jenifa_:The man being DUMB for staying with his wife, after all he alleged about her, is quite obvious for all to see. But that is not the point under discussion; is it? |
