Hello House, if your company (owned by you) wants to sponsor your trip, can they send the travel/sponsorship money to your personal account? Provided they will still add a cover letter stating they are sponsoring the trip, the cover letter will also serve as explanation for the deposit of that fund. Will that be fine or it is a red flag?

Also, if your company is sponsoring your trip and they send the fund to you account, do you still need to attached the company's 6 month account statement?

Good evening guys. Please I need some advice and I’d really appreciate if I can get from here.
So I got a 6 months visa few years back but I never got to use it because some things happened and it expired before I got to use it.
I want to apply for another 6 months visa next month because I’ve been planning a one week trip.
Please, do I need to include the reason why I didn’t use the previous visa in a cover letter?
Also, I earn 600 plus monthly but I plan on using a sponsor, a family member is paying for the trip. I will still submit the statement of my current account which happens to me my salary account.. I don’t have any unexplained credit but the problem is that for the last 5 months, I’ve been moving my salary to my savings account and I used the money to do treasury bills from my savings account. Is it ok to attach the Tbills form or I shouldn’t bother? I don’t want to attach statement from my savings account because it’s such a mess- so many unexplained inflows. I don’t know how to answer that part of ‘monthly expenditure’ because from my salary account statement it will show that I’ve been moving my salary to my other account. I can leave 500k from my salary in my current account before my application just to show that I have some cash to spare.
Please someone advise me.
What else do I need to do so that I can get this visa?

My question is those the documents arrangement affect success of application?,for example the bar they wrote Others, inside it they put photos as example,can we add other documents like land properties, business i.d card etc

Pls they said it must be 5mb per for each download,how are we going to reduce the statement of account of about 150pages to 5mb?

2) documents checklist that we are going to sign and passport datapage can we download them together with application form to No 1 bar?

Good day Gurus,

I need your inputs please.

My wife and daughter applied for UK tourist visa this January but was denied and we were told we cant appeal the decision. I chose to sponsor their trip with my bank statements showing (Salary account: N1,500,000 and savings account $5,000) I earn roughly 1m monthly and have my other funds from my Mother's real estate investments.

Reason for Refusal:
1. Address on my bank account is not the same as my current residential address.
2. The visa officer queried why my wife and daughter didn't apply with me when I did mine last year December and why I chose not to travel with them this year since my visa is still valid.

Now, I want to her to reapply and we have also updated the addresses on our bank accounts. I have also decided to say I will be following them this time around.

Dilemma: My wife earns N220k a monthly but currently has only N5,503 in her account. Does her bank balance matters since I will be the one sponsoring their trip
If I decide to fund her account to show some reasonable figures, hope it won't be flagged?

Note: last application that was denied, she had less than N100k in her account but was not part of the reasons for refusal but my worry is that these guys can be funny at times.

What do you advise please?

I've applied for all sorts of visas in almost 40 years. As an adult, I have never used leave letter as home ties. Never.

Accomodation is just a required information. The visa officer knows that you will sleep somewhere. They know you will not sleep at the airport or under a bridge. It is information required - it does not add real value for your visa to be approved. The most important things are: financial capability and proof that you will return to Nigeria (which means home ties essentially). Everything else is secondary.

I insist the lodgement was not necessary. In fact, most times, it causes more problems.

Re the example of your sister. Your sister's company account should not have been used for her visa application. In law, a company is different and should be seperated from it's owner. She can provide documents to prove she has a business she runs but her financial status will be determined from her own personal bank statements.

In summary, do what works for you. "There's more than one way to skin a cat"
