myaisha00: Good morning. Please I need help with a question. I have two employment history in my profile. I have reference for the main one that got me ITA. Can I remove the second job from work history and just leave it in personal history please? I’m trying to avoid the hassle of getting a reference letter from the employer. Thank you. You cant remove/add/edit anything post ita. And you have to submit reference for your two job cus u claimed point for both of them |

Emmafe: I’ve reached out to WES for more clarification on the report. Will update the thread when I get a response but with the look of things, I’m so pained. honestly you guys need to call them, cus i just checked my wes profile now, i have ond, bsc and msc, i noticed it was only my msc they evaluated in the summary. so i think its only ur highest qualification that will be in the summary which is not meant to be so. |

Emmafe: Wes summery report only listed Bsc, I’m confused if I can claim two or more degree. Why dont you try and call them tomorrow. Cus it will be painful if u cant claim “two or more” when even wes is saying the ciin is equivalent to a canadian undergrad cert. |

Emmafe: Hello,
My wife wrote the CIIN exam in 2021 and just had it evaluated by WES. The report shows it as an "undergraduate certificate (one year)." From my research, this can't be combined with a B.Sc. to claim points for "two or more degrees." Do you know if anyone has used it to claim points along with a B.Sc.? hmmmmm. I'm interested to see people's input about this. for that "two or more degree" people on one platform i am on do say, so far those two certs/deg/diplomas have an ECA that shows that they are an equivalent of a canadian secondary sch or post secondary school and one of those certs/deg/diplomas is =/> 3years, which in this case is your bsc, I "feel" you are good to go. but let more people give insights. back in those days i was seeing people in 2018/2019 saying you can claim "two or more degrees" with WAEC and bsc. lol i dont know how true though, their stance was that WES evaluates WAEC as a canadian secondary sch certificate, and you can support with your bsc which is a degree of three or more years to claim the "two or more degree" |

pls i sent you a message on nairaland Brunobia: Biometrics June 28th Passport picked up August 3rd. 6 months Visa approved . Exactly 5 weeks. Ikeja TLS. One UK denial. One UK approval. One US denial (all declared).
Documents submitted: Payslips, bank statements, appointment letter, letter of introduction from work, promotion letters, work ID card, family pictures, pictures of my first UK visit, letter of IV and passport bio page from sibling, bank reference letter, no landed properties or businesses.
Little back story. I had POF saved up from Canada waka and just impromptly decided to apply for UK tourist visa while waiting for Canada to shake body. I'm a civil servant. Monthly take home less than 150k. Account balance over 10m. So I was skeptical if I would be given the Visa. Good thing is my statements were in order, no huge deposit at all but even at that I would say it's God that handed me this Visa even though I used spouse and kids as home ties.
I didn't submit any itinerary. No paid mail as well. And I used an agent mostly because I hadn't discovered this UK travel page till it was time for my biometrics appointment. I had thought that due to the high volume of UK applications from Nigeria this year, It would become like USA Visa appointment that only agents could access dates for applicants. My first two UK applications were done by myself but that was pre-buhari when our naira debit cards could pay Visa fees.
I give God all the glory. |

MayorOfEdmonton: Payslips are proactively merged with work experience reference letter NOT PoF as further proof of experience. More recently, some Category based applicants get ADR for payslips anyway.
Most banks have a template already for their bank reference letters and it doesn’t include average balance for 6 months, so people attach 6 months statement. I don’t know how the average is calculated, but other’s experience shows visa officers are skeptical about lumpsums (not gift deed). So you may have to explain $0 for 5 months then a sudden $25,000. Cheers Thanks, i would have to inevitably explain then. |

I wanna ask please, why do people upload payslips and bank statement for Pof since all ircc asks is a letter from the bank, with the banks contact details, the banks address, when the applicant's account was opened, the balance in the applicant's account and the average balance of the applicant's account in the last 6 months. Is there added benefit for including payslips? I dey avoid anything wey go make me upload bank statement o, inflow and outflow in my acc is not looking nice, and its unexplainable cus its usdt business ish. I want to believe just letter from the bank should do since that is what ircc asks of, unless of course they further ask for more documents.
secondly, if my balance in Jan=0, Feb=0, Mar=0, Apr=0, May=0, Jun=25,000, would my average balance for the past 6months be (0+0+0+0+0+0+25,000)/6=4,166 abeg is the calculation correct. |

leopardinatree: Medicals was done separately. Principal applicant did not receive MIL at the same time as the dependents. So when all boxes were checked, the VO noticed that the principal applicant had expired medicals and being that COPR is dependent on medical expiry and the principal applicant can not get COPR without valid medicals it was necessary to send another medical instruction letter, this time for the principal applicant only. It is worth noting that i had done upfront medicals that had expired just before my ITA but they still linked the expired medicals and that's why the initial MIL was only for the dependents. I hope that makes sense now. walahi i no even understand anything, be like say post ITA wahala come pass pre ITA wahala. when we reach there sha we go cross am. |

congrats bro i tap too leopardinatree: its PPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME AND SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has been a long journey and i am grateful that it has finally come to an end. I apologize in advance if its a long read. It all began with Wes application in the December of 2022 and my IELTS just about a week after WES application. It took WES the standard 6 weeks processing plus 2 weeks to get my transcripts sent to WES, totaling 2 months.
On the 1st Feb i was ready to create my EE profile and so i did. My IELTS was an overall band 7 and WES was a 3 year bachelor degree, putting me at roughly 320 something CRS especially being that my age was not working to my advantage. With this in mind i quickly sought to increase my scores; french was the only option along with redoing my IELTS to max it the second time around, which i knew i was capable of doing (don't come for me my village people, i know my english language skills ). The reason i didn't do well enough the first time around is because of various factors (but that's a story for another day).
In my state of desperation, i ventured into the idea of going via the study route but i knew carrying my many kids would have been too costly and i think my brain has expired so pulling it off would have proved taxing on my mental health and my pocket. I resolved to abandon that idea after speaking to a friend of a friend in Canada who proved to be pivotal in my journey. She shared with me an email from IRCC promoting the plan to target francophones in the upcoming immigration strategies. I read the email and realized that french was going to be my strategy, not only to increase points but to get the upper hand. By this time, i am already in the pool and looking for a french tutor to reawaken my french language skill as it had been about 10 years since i last took french language courses at Alliance Francaise. I managed to ask around and got a very good french teacher who agreed to do personalized classes/private tutoring to make sure i meet my goal in the short time i had given myself. Soon my teacher was confident in my abilities and encouraged me to make my first attempt. Which i did and didnt do as well as i should have, bringing me back to the drawing board to restrategize; giving emphasis on my weakest points. I fully immersed myself in the language, listening to podcasts, watching movies, listening to french music, (i recommend Lara Fabian and ofcourse Celine Dion). I was once again ready to make an attempt at TEF. I did and the new scores allowed me get a well needed raise to the ranks of CRS 380s. The cutoff at the time was somewhere in the upper 400s and the only thing i could think to do was to redo my IELTS. It was now around October of 2023. I considered the IT course mentioned here a number of times but decided to start with the IELTS retake.
Long story short as i was getting ready to retake my IELTS in Jan 2024, when lo alas, I received an NOI form OINP for the French skilled priority draws. I knew i had to fork out an extra 1500CAD and so i began to amass it. Just as I was working on that, I then received an ITA from the federal french CBD draw thus beginning my journey to PPR. In a nutshell, allow me to share my timeline:
EE profile creation: 1 Feb 2023 OINP ITA : 18 Jan 2024 ( idid not go through with it) ITA: 1 Feb 2024 (just hours before the expiry of my profile... na God oo) AOR: 26 Mar 2024 BIL/MIL : 1 May 2024 BIL linked: 15 May 2024 MEP: 22 May 2024 ADR: 31 May 2024 2nd MIL: 31 May 2024 2nd MEP: 8 Jun 2024 FD: 10 Jun 2024 PPR: 12 Jun 2024
I can only say thank you to everyone on this platform, all questions answered, all the wealth of information, all well wishers, all prayers, all the friends i made, everything and everyone. May everyone be awarded their PPR at the soonest. Special thanks to @honeysweetest, @ednut, @jasperonyx, @graciouswords. To everyone who posts advice on the platform, some questions i did not need to ask as they were already answered in other people's requests for information, thank you for your time and your selflessness. We can't do it without you. In conclusion: Glory be to God, Most High, with Whom all things are possible. He says and He does. Great is His faithfulness and love.
Its with a grateful heart, i sign out. |

Lastbornbuns: The first step should be to properly learn the basics of the language; time, date, how verbs are conjugated, when to use what tense, masculine and feminine words with their plural forms, the different pronoms and when they're used, pick up some everyday vocab etc. I'd advice joining a school if you can for the community and immersion (if only for a few hours) but online works very well too. You could self-learn if you're someone that doesn't need the "structure" that a school will provide or something. You can check out what is expected at each cefr language level from A1 to C2
Check out the tef thread. It's a gem. thanks a lot |

aurorae1: Crazy how just a few years back this score was perfect. Unfortunately it means nothing in the face of general draws now, maybe not even STEM draws. If you can remark your writing and speaking, please do so. not worth it in my opinion. i got 8.5 in L, even if i remark and get 9 the point doesnt change as 8.5-9 is same thing in the pool, i got 8 in reading, even if i remark to 9 its same thing in pool, got 8 speaking, even if i remark to 9 its same thing in the pool, i got 7 in W, and if i remark and get 7.5 it adds just 2 mark to my crs score, even if i remark and get 9 it adds same 2 mark to my crs score as 7.5-9 is same thing in the pool, i cant pay 120 pounds for just 2 marks. however, i understand your point. thanks a bunch. i might change from stem to healthcare as 475 exceeds all the previous healthcare score. still weighting my options. |

ganie: Hello everyone, please what can serve as proof/evidence of being friends with a permanent resident of Manitoba? Is it old pictures you took together or just the friend willingness is enough (that is providing the necessary documents). According to their site. The person has to be a pr and also has id card that shows he resides in manitoba, like voters card or even library card or something of sort, he has to have lived in CA for a year too, he may also contribute to help you settle like helping hunt for house so you can settle in comfortably or assist with finances or help u find jobs, These are suffice. Picture is not important cus the site does not mention it, but if you have pictures you can throw it in, if you have chats with the person you can throw it in too, anything at all to help show that you know the person is fine no matter how irrelevant you may think it is. |
