MY TIMELINE

Years ago I heard about Canada Pr but I didn't make a move until 2021 when I applied to WES for my Masters Degree in Architecture. Wrote my first Ielts and had 6.5 in writing then wrote the second and entered the pool.................no Ita.... moved on.....Ielts expired.
Reluctantly wrote another Ielts end of 2023 and entered the pool again, this time using the Trade CBD Noc code instead of Stem as I was performing both function and then Boom I got Ita.
Timeline
Ita: July 4, 2024 (CBD Trade)
Aor: September 2, 2024
Mil/Bil request: September 11, 2024
MEP: September 26, 2024
Eligibility completed: October 2024
I called IRCC to ask for my application status and to change my spouse and child to Accompanying, then I was sent an email of the forms to fill and documents to submit.
Forms, payment & document submitted : November 2024
Pre-arrival mail: December 3, 2024
.........long silence..........
Bil for spouse: February 14, 2025 (Val gift)
Adr: February 24, 2025
Adr submitted: February 26, 2025
Final Decision: February 27, 2025
PPR: February 28, 2025

Medical/Biometrics: 21st December
RFV: 27th February

I can see my COPR Number now.

Can anyone please guide me on how to submit my passport, would i have to book an appointment with VFS lekki or how do i go about it please?

If so the logic for your formula should work for now, unless those numbers in column A are not recognised as numbers and Excel is reading them as text.

It would also help to show us the error you are getting.

EDIT: Just thought about it, "06" as depicted in your image cannot be recognised as a number by Excel. You need to change the format or concaat the year itself as text.

Every thing you highlighted apart from the weather is far worse in Nigeria.
There are people in Nigeria who don't know where their ancestral home is. Go to Lagos and Abuja, you will see people who haven't been to their village or go to their village once in 10 years, so what's the big deal?

Which place is more expensive to live? A place where minimum wage on paper is 70k a month and bag of rice is 100k or place where minimum wage is $16 per hour and bag of rice is $80? A cleaner in Nigeria will work for a whole month yet his salary will not buy him a bag of rice while his counterpart in Canada only needs to work for 5 hrs to buy the same bag of rice. You and I know that most private school teachers don't earn up to 70k every month ooo.

Maybe you don't pay bills in Nigeria, you get things for free. You pay for light, yet you buy fuel for generator, solar panel, inverter etc just to have light. Buying recharge card for calls, is it not phone bill? Aren't you paying for the calls? Calculate how much you spend on recharge call monthly, that is your phone bill. I can go on and on. Tell me what service you get free in Nigeria while others in Canada pay for it. When I was in Nigeria, I pay for my estate security ooo, is that one not bill?

As for weather, winter is bad. However, it is 4 months not all year round. Besides, the same way you cope in extreme heat is the same way people cope with the cold. You have to do what is neccessary which is wearing thr right clothing's and having heaters on. At some point, winter wouldn't be a big deal anymore cos you would have adjusted to it

Look, there are legitimate and sound reasons why it may be a bad idea to migrate abroad for some people especially through study route but majority of people putting their mouth in this matter on this forum are just dishing out very unintelligent and dumb points that can't stand any logical test. If you want to convince people, then bring solid reasons not dumb reasons. This is why our effort to discourage stupid migration is failing cos people think we don't want them to come.

Imagine someone earning 500k per month in Lagos today, you are going to spend 1/5 of your monthly sweat on just 1 bag of rice.

The guy is right. If you receive any large lump sum into your account, IRCC requires you to provide an explanation, that's why he MUST add the deed of gift to his application.

"IRCC stipulates that the funds cannot be borrowed from another person and the applicant will be asked to explain any large, lump sum transfers into an account."

You are new to immigration and PR application.
Work reference letter has zero correlation with POF so your analogy of adding ID & pictures doesn’t apply in anyway.

I stand by what I said, if your POF is gift deed which a lot of folks have used over the years. State that it is and add the gift deed docs.
There’s no complication adding the gift deed to the bank letter when you’re applying.
There’s no competitive edge in withholding a gift deed document and wait for ADR.

If you decide not to add it to your application and wait for ADR, that’s fine but don’t advise others not to.
I’ve reviewed several GCMS notes over the years, and you’d be surprised the scrutiny POF gets.
The point of this thread is providing accurate information.

lol. Ok na. Goan check immitracker, you’ll see several cases of such. Just don’t mislead people. Imagine saying people should wait for ADR before providing gift deed and statement of account 🙄

ah! This is not a good advice o. IRCC has been known to reject applications outrightly for not uploading enough supporting documents to show proof of work experience even though only reference letter was required and it was provided. Please add enough supporting documents if you can and don’t bank on the fact that they’ll send adr. Gift deed is very important if you know your salary cannot support your pof

Something to note for intending applicants (@horlorbah) to avoid needless delays in your processing, if you got a gift deed for your POF kindly attach the gift deed(notarized if possible) with your bank reference letter.

Mr A can’t state in his work reference letter that he earns #1.5m per annum for 3 years and suddenly has POF of #20m without stating the source. It subjects your application to needless scrutiny. If you used gift deed, simply truthfully state that you did. Provide the gift deed+evidence of transfer+proof of relationship to donor, if anything it makes POF one less thing the officer has to scrutinize.

Recently officers have been rejecting PR applications. In this era of changing immigration policies, there’s no advantage in holding off a document that helps your application IMO.

Thank you for your response. I mean I was being paid in cash at my workplace but my dad is the one who wants to give me the POF so I will need a gift deed. So, do I still need to upload my 6 months statement of account alongside the gift deed from my dad?

Then after a week
Nigerian police will send ur downladable police clearance to you

Please I have got some information from Nigerian Embassy website.

I understand I need a letter of introduction from
Nigerian embassy to the finger print agency (in this case, Scotland Yard in Uk)

Then I will then send fingerprints with letter to Alagbon for criminal check.

Please do I just show up at Nigerian embassy with the documents and letters will be given to me.


Or is it possible to have someone REQUEST THE PCC from Nigeria without a EVER NEEDING A fingerprint at all.

I can confirm to you that you can actually change your spouse to accompanying as soon as you confirm you passed eligibility or as soon as you receive FD/RFV... that way, your point wont be recalculated any more. It's better than waiting till you get your PR and then sponsoring.

As far as I know, it doesn't work that way.

You get more points if you declare your spouse as non-accompanying than when you select that they will follow you. However, you can't change this information post ITA, else your score will be recalculated.

I think, if you claim spouse non accompanying Pre-ITA, you have to submit the application alone but include their POF, PCC, and Medical Post ITA.

Then you can sponsor their application when your receive your PR and land in Canada – which looks like the only option in this case.
