A couple comment for OP & intending applicants, POF is not one size fit all.

Some banks(GTB, Access Bank) won’t include your current balance no matter what you say in the branch, hence the need for 6 months statement of account. IRCC requires the bank to state average balance for past 6 months in the reference letter.

Your salary also determines the amount of scrutiny the POF documents will get, I’m fairly certain @Farawayman was not earning #100-150k per month(~#1,000,000perAnnum) and then submitted POF of +#20,000,000 and would have gotten PPR with just bank reference letter without an ADR explaining source of lump sum back when he applied.
e.g Miss B who works as a Senior Engineer with Chevron/Shell and earns millions of Naira monthly(some allowances are paid in $ self) may not need to explain source of funds but Mr A, a bank teller with UBA for 3 years will need to explain lump sums.

What i submitted is exactly what is on ircc website which is a letter on gtbanks letterhead stating that i owe no debt, stating my acc number, stating my current balance and my avg bal in last 6months.

But u r not far from the truth, because if not that i know the manager well, he wont have done it

Your friend still has more than the required 22,500 CAD, so there’s no problem at the moment.

If he's concerned about the amount decreasing further, he can always add more funds and submit a webform with a Letter of Explanation (LOE), bank reference letter, letter of non-indebtedness and bank statements attached.

Overall, I don’t see any issue here since he remains above the required amount.

Since you have a degree certificate you dont need transcript again.
Just ensure you merge ur degree cert, ielts, and wes summary in one file and upload as pdf

Thank you. Most universities do not issue official transcript to individuals, they rather send it directly to the recipient institution that is requesting it. Is the student copy transcript accepted? or does it have to be an official transcript?

It has to be official. Dont you have statement of result or degree certificate? If you dont, your school can send it to ircc directly.

Or tell your school to send the official one to your own address or to an office address, then you sent it to ircc yourself, dont open the envelope o

A friend had 24k cad pof when he got aor his pof was more than enough cus what he needed was 22500 cad.

Since his profile has not gotten fd yet, but now the worth of his 24k cad is now 23k cad.

Is it legal to top up the pof? If yes, does he have to raise webform and inform ircc or there is no need for that

Yes upload the trio. Transcript not needed but it does not hurt if you upload it too. Degree, ielts and wes are the major.

Thanks. It’s actually IELTS General UKVI. Can I use that for Canada since it’s mainly for UK visas and a monitored variant of IELTS General. Also, does CRS score of 430 stand a chance as that is the max I can get with French added due to my age

Finally just got PPR on Friday, it's been almost 2 years since I first entered the pool. I have been on this thread for a while, never post but have been learning from you all. Hence, I feel the need to post my timeline, maybe some one may learn from it.

This is my timeline below, I can't remember exact days mostly because of the time it has taken to get here and I'm honestly too lazy to check.

I created my first EE profile September 17th 2022, soon after started studying french and looking for a tutor.

I was 30 with an MSc so my CRS score was 476, after turning 31in 2023 it dropped down to 470. As hard as I tried I couldn't learn French properly but still wrote TCF like that and my score only got boosted by 6 or 8 points (can't remember again), but I didn't realise how important those points will be.

I created NOI for Saskatchewan province sometime in February 2023 and in May I got invitation to apply for SINP and applied in July 2023.

I waited ooohhh for Saskatchewan dem no answer, even had to create a new EE profile as the first one expired. Then around mid December 2023 Ontario did tech draw and picked me from the pool. Those small points I got from TCF were my saving grace, I think the OINP tech stream cut off was about 473 and without the small points TCF gave me I would have been 470 and missed out. Please, don't sleep on French, I'm horrible with languages, can't even speak my own language and yet managed to get small points from TCF.

Applied for Ontario in January and got nominated first week in March. Between the time I had applied to Saskatchewan in July 2023 and when I got nominated by Ontario in March 2024 my profile in SINP was still on "Application Received" status. Very annoying province, as Ontario nomination came through I emailed them to withdraw my application but dem no refund me.

Received ITA mid-March (about a week after Ontario nomination)
AOR - May 11th
Medicals passed - June 26th
Biometrics completed - July 5th
PPR - September 6th

It can be slow and painful, but God will do it for everyone who has put in the work and put their faith in Him.

family composition only changes when you give birth or adopt. The child should have been included ab initio. With an LOE stating the issue. Send them a webform and pray the application is not cancelled.

And concerning this one, I think as long as you have all the necessary documentation, an LOE should make everything less complicated.
Doing it after ppr will be more difficult.

Is it possible to add a dependent child during this stage? Not adopted or new born baby, but a dependent biological child which could not be added from the beginning because of some issues which has now been sorted.

Like family composition has changed. They were just two, now with the child they will be three.

I really doubt that, even people with IJMB couldn't use it as two or more certificate.

Ijmb summary might not pass as canadian certificate maybe that is why ijmb could not be used

I have actually called ircc to ask but the queue was too long and i have mailed them no response.
Since wassce eca reports as canadian certificate. I feel one can use it to claim “2 degree or more”

If people can look into it, it will really help

You can do either CIMA (Ba1-ba4) certificate in business level or ACCA f1-f3 knowledge level.

The information below is applicable to both exam. But I would advise you go for CIMA.

I use Lloyds banks as well and the lady I met at the bank was kind enough to write me a letter including everything except average balances for the past 6 months, so I will use statement for that.

For getting a reference letter from a colleague, does it have to be on the organisation letter headed? Because I would not be able to get that. My manager doesn’t do any form of referencing, everything goes to operations. So the letter my colleague will be signing, should it contain something like ‘we have been working together and this is her job description’ ?

Honestly they are just annoying. What is so difficult in giving average balance for 6months. I went to three banks all of them said they cant write.
