I like your view. I also believe the journey to 2019 is loaded with suprises WisdomFlakes: |
Sarrki and others have numerous alternative monikers. saintgp: |
So PMB has gone ahead to deduct from the excess crude account without National assembly approval? This is wrong. Why did the executive wait till the US deadline was approaching before hurriedly making payment. This approval from Trump's administration to buy the aircrafts was given since last year? Why didn't PMB follow due process in securing National assembly approval since last year? He is now writing to inform them after doing the deed This is unconstitutional and impeachable offence. |
Cost of the building sounds outrageous |
This administration is a failure in agriculture as far as I am concerned. Farming settlements are being over run by the herdsmen with agricultural produce destroyed. Very soon we will have a food crises if government does not wake up to its responsibility |
Op you write on behalf of Buhari’s Media team. I will reply from the office of the citizen. The primary responsibility of government is the security of lives and property. The mindless killings in the North Central is unacceptable. The life of the average Nigerian has become very cheap. The problem preceded Buhari but he is doing next to nothing about it. Until the killings stop, this administration remains a failure |
@ the bolded you are right. The Apc was vicious, desperate and reckless. dearpreye: |
On paper Dankwambo looks good to go. But he has no political structures. Doesn't seem to have political disciples. I wish he would be more vocal on national issues and show readiness to run for office. If he gets the ticket, I would vote him. |
Op, regarding point 2 in your write up 2) Bill:-- Let's be giving the Poor people #30,000 naira monthly to relieve them of their poverty, the Senate seats under the control of Saraki said, Nigeria Government does not have the capacity to pay it, Ooh!!! Op can you provide links to where Buhari proposed a bill to pay 30k monthly for poor people? |
Buhari is no Saint. After studying how he ran PTF, I concluded he is the con man of the century. |
What is the loan for when this administration shamelessly imposed a 20% tax hike on antimalarials and antibiotics? As a result the price of WHO approved antimalarials have skyrocketed beyond the reach of our poorest citizens. Instead of rescinding the tax hike, they are talking of loans to tackle malaria. This was discussed in a thread sometime back https://www.nairaland.com/4247553/buhari-govt-hike-malaria-drugsdangers |
This is not a Pdp issue. There was a detailed report in vanguard today on the sneaky tactics the INEC boss intends to use in creating new polling units through the back door. It is a lengthy report on Vanguard newspaper budusky05: |
On the march again! Whereas Professor Attahiru Jega, immediate past National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, brought some reforms of significant reckoning to the processes and procedures of Nigeria’s electoral system, his controversial allocation of 30,000 Polling Units, PUs, which was shot down in 2015, may be on its way to being surreptitiously re-introduced by the new leadership of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu. Disguised as Voting Points Settlements, VPS, the cat was let out of the bag recently by the former chairman when he openly congratulated the new leadership on its reforms in the area of voting points, a revelation that was strange to insiders at the Commission. This report will show why the new move may not different from the failed lopsided allocation, which saw the North handed over 21,000, while the South had less than 9,000 PUs. In addition, it will show the inappropriateness of the hasty move less than 10 months to next year’s general elections https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/04/976534/ This was the previous proposal by INEC How can FCT Abuja be allocated more polling units than the entire south east? I am from the North but this is marginalisation

I am not from the South East but truth be said, it seems Nigeria is bent on marginalisation. How can FCT Abuja be allocated more polling units than the entire South East? |
The full report is lengthy but very informative. This country has been dangerously configured to favour the North West and North East geopolitical zone in terms of power sharing. Our votes might not count in 2019

No please. I was embarrassed reading this HigherEd: |
You Buharist are really desperate! You now dig up quotes from even the dead to compare with Buhari’s gaffe? No one can explain the obvious blunder by president Buhari. If he wants to advice nigerian youths, he should communicate when in Nigeria. How many presidential media chats have held since he assumed power? But the moment he travels abroad he starts de-marketing the country. Just pray Buhari doesn't travel again before 2019. He will say worst than this |
Buhari’s cabinet is the most mediocre since the advent of the 4th Republic. Most of them are noise makers, sycophants, incompetent and career politicians. |
Well then I would not say more. I don't see that spirit in Nigerians that suggests a brutal revolution anytime soon. ednut1: |
I have a sneaky feeling about people that claim we have no option but Buhari in 2019. The Apc has been brilliant in selling this notion and Nigerians are buying it. It's unrealistic to imagine there is a perfect, saintly, no baggage presidential aspirant. That narrative limits us to supposed "saints" like Buhari or untested dark horses like Jonathan/Yaradua. We all can see where it has brought us. I believe we should agitate for public discourse and debates before the elections. Then let the candidates that portray some understanding of the Nigerian problem be given a chance ednut1: |
We have seen dark horses ascend to power. The political journey to 2023 is still far ednut1: |
Can you discuss your reservations on Atiku candidacy? Or other names coming up? ednut1: |
Buhari is a weak leader. He cannot inspire or galvanize the citizens with his words. Elliot2: |
Damn! ![]() This was comic relief OldBeer: |
I agree the judiciary has its issues as can be seen from the Mobil case. But in terms of the ongoing corruption cases, EFCC is just stirring up media frenzy |
The EFCC needs restructuring. It is bungling cases due to shabby investigations and clumsy prosecutions. None of the big corruption cases is being diligently prosecuted. Investigate the facts |
You must think all of us are ignorant. The most celebrated case by EFCC in this administration is the so-called Diezani loot. However the courts are threatening to close the 1.6 billion dollar case against her associates because the EFCC counsel is playing hide and seek. This was in the news yesterday. See the link below https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/265604-court-threatens-to-close-1-6-billion-fraud-case-against-omokore-others.html It was also discussed on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4462189/court-threatens-close-1.6-billion#66865177. |
. As long as u are in pdp, apc ur corrupt by default. My dear there is no hope for this contraption called nigeria. Those that have the power to make the changes wont do it cos it cant favour them. Nigeria is only going down
