I am not surprised at your comments. The Buhari ideology is basically deception. Unfortunately you cannot twist this. The alleged thief was nominated by Buhari last week as a national population commissioner.Lastly, bringing former president Jonathan into every issue doesn't sell any more. Printerscanner: VP Osinbajo nominated someone into ICPC board, the people complained that the nominee is a criminal. The government then drags the criminal nominee to the court. In the previous administration, If Goatluck Jonathan nominates someone for a position and the people complain that the nominee is a criminal, Goatluck will promote the criminal to higher position. You wailers can go and die. |

But the truth is that the actual people that voted Buhari in will never say 'I want to correct my mistake'
Because to them, half of Buhari is better that 1,000 Jonathans.
So quote this comment. As at now. Buhari still has a 90 percent chance of winning in 2019. |

Subsequently Buhari appoints the same alleged thief to National population commission. These are the President "integrity" and vice president "godly"? Buhari and Osibanjo are deceptive, fraudulent and morally corrupt |

In this instance I wouldn't blame the judiciary yet. They are prosecuting them in the media. This whole thing is becoming a circus show Yusman316: The problem is the Nigerian judicial system is whack. So as strong as a case may look it can get thrown out or delayed for years. Another tactics is the use of technicalities to stall cases. This is a thought provoking write up. Tracypacy: This is a time in Nigeria when people who earn 600k in this country are so eager to migrate. It's really hard to be hopeful. Every random professional now on their way to Canada and then US is organizing free tuition up to Ph.D level for our University first class students. Our young doctors are flying out in numbers and even the ones in medical schools are being locked out because of N100k.
I once held the theory that if you earn 250k, you don't need abroad. Just save for summer vacation. But I have seen prospects for the banking industry, abandon everything to go to US. I am alarmed. Come & see the calibre of Nigerians arriving here. I can even understand folks moving to Toronto or Vancouver small sef. But someone making more than 500k/month in Lagos/Abuja will move to Saskatoon or some no-name village in d Canadian prairies! Saskatoon is roughly like Omu Aran in Kwara-State, Nigeria!
Last year, I tried to discourage someone whose monthly salary was dangerously close to N1 million from moving. When he made his case, I kukuma encouraged & helped him move. A few months after he arrived here, his entire section of the company was laid off - just like that! Whenever I contemplate moving back home, my family & village people will say: "ha, the enemies have finally had us where they want us! Imagine Prof saying he is coming back to Nigeria!" Then everybody will run to Pastors to counter the efforts of the enemy over me. Those whose parents have sponsored abroad for studies and not been encouraged to come back home and use their skills here. We may be in the process of losing a whole generation of Nigeria’s Best and brightest.
I encourage emigration. For their children's sake. Until we/our govt are ready to address basics like Public School Education Reforms. People can buy generators/provide their own boreholes/Security/Build their roads...but Education? How many can afford overpriced Private-schools. The real danger now is that a whole generation of skilled workers are leaving and govt is not reforming Education to fill the gaps...so double jeopardy. Why each region must prioritize Education/Human Capital Development |

Nigerians never learn from experience. We are not asking questions? The only thing I know of Sowore is Sahara reporters. Becoming president of a country such as Nigeria is serious business. What is his track record in leadership and management? Experience in governance? Achievements in corporate world or career? Last time I raised this issue here, someone said Obama and Macron started young but I replied with proof that Obama and Macron had experience in governance for 10 and 5 years respectively before becoming presidents. Nigeria is in need of youthful and cutting edge leadership but we need to seriously scrutinise the credentials of all aspirants. |

Firstly, I am not igbo. What LCC is doing in Lagos is not toll, it is impoverishing Nigerians. A toll should be a token for road maintenance not a conduit for enriching "governor emeritus". The amount charged as toll by LCC/Asiwaju is criminal! triblehaul1: What other company has displayed such efficiency at managing a tolled road in Nigeria ? I am yet to see any other. Your statements are incorrect. Obama served in the Illinois State Senate from 1997 until 2004. He was also was the junior United States Senator for Illinois from 2005 to 2008. He didn't just become president out of the blues. He had a track record in governance for over 10 years. Macron was appointed Deputy Secretary General in François Hollande's first government in May 2012. Later, he was appointed Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs in 2014 under the Second Valls government, where he pushed through business-friendly reforms. He had experience in governance for 5 years. We need to examine, ask questions and investigate any prospective presidential candidate. Nigeria is in a mess we need cutting edge leadership! trillville: How much experience did Obama have before becoming the president of the US? Just 2 years in the Senate.
How much experience did Macron have before becoming the president of France. Just 2 years in the Senate.
About Gowon in Nigeria? Absolutely non.
Joseph in the Bible? He wasn't even Egyptian yet he became governor of the whole Egypt at 32.
Sowore has been fighting for social justice in Nigeria for over 10 years. Even more importantly his focus is on improving the welfare of the common man. His paper Sahara reporters broke ground in Nigeria and forced government officials to be more accountable.
All our past government officials have experience in stealing. That is the one thing you learn in government. We don't need a thief to rule us again. We should not have to manage our president. Together we can fight a good fight to vote in a candidate that has actually made an impact on lives in Nigeria and seems genuine to do more.
You can also support candidates like Tope Fasau and Fela Durotoye. My belief is that they would somehow join forces before all is said and done. |

He should start from the lower cadres of elective positions to gain experience. trillville: Which old cargo has policies other than high oil prices to make this nation work? Do you have any idea what it takes to make Nigeria work?
