Forget the fact that we call any substandard product 'Aba made'
The fact remains that they are creative and their enrtreurprenuership skills remain unbeatable and i am happy they are improving daily in their invention.
Call the igbos whatever you like but if they seperate from Nigeria, i will miss them I am telling you. They so innovative and fast thinking people. And they can create anything out of nothing. Just look at that!!! very beautiful. But they say they are not part of us so.............. I will miss them too and Nigeria will loose a great people. But loyalty and trust is the greatest virtue of all. Why is it called made in Biafra? If they even said made in Aba or "Eastern Wave" or "Vibeastern" or "AIDEE" [Acronym for igbo states] it would have been good. |

We the youths have formally requested that NASS be scraped. The redundancy of senatorial positions, their failure to converse and represent the people they claim to be representing and in the light of recent events have portrayed NASS as an out-dated, redundant and backward political obstacle to economic development and national growth.
We will replace this so called senate positions with new and upcoming community youth who know and understand the people to act as liaisons between the people and the government. These youths will interact with community, take surveys, study demographics and communicate the problems of the people to the govt.
We do not have a voice in community today because NASS is supposed to be our voice. But they have decided to be the voice of themselves. They do not represent anybody and make decisions irrespective of the people's perspectives.
For this reason we have moved to either replace NASS with community candidate youths: 1) Must live within community. 2) Must be no more than 35 years of age. 3) Must have a clean record. 4) Salaries must be cut down to minimum wage.
OR
Completely scrap NASS
Please go on twitter to #ScrapNASS to support. |

And the population increase is higher than our productive capacity, GDP revenue and level of wealth creation put together. Something needs to be done. Not to kill people of course. cstr3: You are at war with yourself, and not the USA. The igbo is at peace with the USA. We have thousands of our people living there and attaining their potential without being marginalized. Your president being a fool decided to take lives with reckless abandon and bite the fingers that fed him to power, and forego the consequences. Don't drag us In your anti USA rhetoric. We will not support such backward ventures. Lol... U guys are just dreamers. I do not know who really did u guys this big atrocity by letting u thimk u r not being marginalized. Allow me to educate you. THE CREATION OF WEALTH 1) Wealth creation has mainly to do with controlling ur means of production. Means of production means labour, capital, skills, machinery, transportation and industry. Most of which run on enery/oil. 2) The igbos in America [except those Born there with "citizen by birth status"] can only be a source of cheap labour and nothing else. Given that these igbos live in America and America is a capitalist economy, it means what u spend on goods and services does not go back into the state [which might come back to u, depending on immigration policies] but goes to the pockets of oligarchs. 3) Now even the Igbos work in America for 100 years, and get paid a billion dollars each year, they will not make ant capital or returns on capital because the wealth u r creating is not for u. U probably asking how is this so. Most people confuse the word "wealth" with "money" or "currency". Wealth is the amount of valuable resources and innovative means one has. For example 800 trillion dollars is not wealth, profits from having a machinery that can self-sufficiently produce a consumable good in mass is wealth. 800 trillion dollars can be valued at 5 kobo in a 100 years but gold would be gold, oil would be oil and the production process will remain the same. Shell is wealthy not because it has money but because it control most of the production process for a good everyone wants. Dangote is wealthy because he controls the means of production in producing food stuff not because he sells them. AMERICAN / EU MODEL OF WEALTH CREATION Now the trick of any business is to get minimum cost and maximum profit. And this is how the est has looted Africa for centuries. LABOUR: MINIMIZE COST: MASS CHEAP LABOUR FROM AFRICA [IMMIGRANTS/ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS] This drives down wages and make hard working honest nationals angry. Imagine if u had a million imports from Niger who are willing to do ur job for cheaper than u r usually paid and just as good if not better. |

And truth is u guys keep screaming about people who died in the war as if it was not a war. It was a war. In wars, people die. WWI: 3million WWII: Over 60 million people. Genocide is targeting a specific groups of people based on racial, social, political, ethnic affiliations. Nobody targeted anyone. The country was at war. And u guys seem to forget that this OIL is not even on igbo land. If u do not take the SS with u on this ur "Charade" u know Israel and U.S.A will not even look at u twice. Better get ur act together and let's develop this country. And what i was stressing was that regardless of tribal differences, do not forget that Africans are in a battle of our own that has spanned generations and centuries. Denying it or thinking that we r independent or better than other african is meaningless. Because as we free ourselves we need to begin to free others. And every african [igbo, hausa, yoruba, cameroonite, gambian etc] must and has a duty to defend this land. |

castroevans: China want to borrow us 2 billion dollars, but they want to give us in Yuan and not the dollar itself.
They are not handling us cash, but service exchange; meaning if we want to buy iron rod, we buy it from Chinese company and they pay the company on our behalf. If we want to construct railway, they will construct it for us and take the money out of the loan. In the end, we are bound to award contracts to them, cutting out competition from others and fairplay to others(non Chinese company can't bid or compete to reduce the cost.) They get to value the contract and determine the price, meaning they can sell something worth 200 Naira for N2000 and we don't have a choice 'cos it is on credit.
The worst of it is that China want us to pay back in dollars, that is not all, we are moving our foreign reserve to fake currency(Yuan) a currency that is manipulated openly by the Chinese government. Did anyone ask Lamido Sanusi what happened to some of our reserve he moved to Yuan few years ago? They sold us Yuan at 4 to a dollar, only to devalue their currency few weeks latter to 9 Yuan per $.
Many Nigerians don't know that even Chinese company don't want yuan, nobody want it, Chinese foreign reserve is in dollars, China is the largest holder of US bond, they want dollars by all means.
Also, China have more lobbyists in Washington DC than any other nations on earth, begging Washington politicians to always make policy in their favour, how can such country save us from USD?
Has anyone asked why China hasn't built any refinery in Nigeria?? They have the money, they want the profit, but never did it.
If China does anything against Washington interest in Nigeria, USA have too much political power over China, they will just tell them not to do it. China will continue to inflate the contract price, refuse to complete the project and deceive us further.
I don't blame Chinese leaders for trying to scam us, I blame our leaders for not being smart enough. What do you expect when you have political hacks negotiating on behalf of Nigeria against smart professionals from China. I was thinking Nigeria political leaders will do research about Chinese lobbyists in Washington and understand the interest they are protecting before believing in Chinese version of Trojan horse.
We are the only one that can help ourselves, let's implement true federalism system and free market. Development is a culture and not a product, we can't buy it no matter how much money we have or borrow U r extremely clueless. I was actually reading and understanding ur post until i got to "USA have too much political power over China, they will just tell them not to do it". |

coolscott: It is truly not about the PDP or APC. Somehow, because of the tussle of the last elections, we have divided ourselves along those lines. But really, this is not how we have approached voting public office holders prior to the division along party lines the last presidential elections resulted in.
I remember I was told by someone sitting with Ya'r Adua and Jonathan back then how Ya'r Adua rebuffed all the West's attempts to get into our system.
Yar Adua was PDP.
I supported Goodluck Jonathan last elections not because he was PDP but because the alternative was just really bad. If Fashola was the flag bearer for the APC I might have voted him and without a doubt (without even thinking too hard about it) if Ibrahim Shekarau was the flag bearer of the APC, I would have voted him.
It has always been about the personality for Nigerian voters and the "which is the best or most manageable of the lot" approach.
It is the same with the Americans. They care less if it is a PDP government in power or not. All they care about is... "who will cooperate with us?"
When one leader "misbehaves" they discredit him or fight him covertly. The Americans did not like Yar' Adua as I was informed.
Goodluck was better but he was not a very good co-operator. Didn't cooperate enough. There were high hopes of Buhari being able to play ball that is why, it is alleged, the campaign strategy group in charge of Obama's campaign in 2008, who invented the "Change" mantra for them in the United States was employed in Nigeria here also and interestingly, the social engineer identified that the same mantra was perfect for our society and the situation on ground here.
Whether their gamble in supporting Buhari would pay of was a totally different matter. Right now, it seems they have finally accepted that the man is going off on a tangent on his own. He is neither listening to his own people, nor is he listening to them. Indeed he is for everybody and for nobody doing only what he (Buhari) ultimately thinks is the best, making alliances with Iran, Islamic countries, Russia and China. So they definitely will get peeved.
So when they cry about him, it is not for our interest at all. It is actually in pursuit of theirs. Sources and screenshot below 1. http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/2015-apc-hires-obamas-campaign-strategy-group/ 2. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/02/2015-elections-apc-hires-foreign-consultant/ I kind of agree with u on the "Individualism" aspect rather than going party lines. However, the individual simply represents how, what, where and when decisions will be made. The party represents an ideology. A system government operations. This means what policies they will prioritize, how much they are willing to spend on what, what is important, what drives growth and prosperity. So if u didnt know i will tell u. PDP: Growth will come. You must spend sufficient time interacting with the people and climbing the ladder, without overtaking those on top. All resources are controlled by the state in a federal system and the money goes round equally. Investments are labour intensive and are made directly in the people. This of course does not get around to everyone and creates massive inequality. The PDP took a radical socialist perspective which honestly would have been the best if "every Nigerian" was included. But it was only for a few at the top. The PDP adopts a federalist system and our means of production was for the state. This again would have been the best and made Nigeria truly self-sufficient. However they drastically failed to manage these resources and maintain the machinery. SO TRULY THE PDP's POLITICAL IDEOLOGY WAS ACTUALLY TRULLY AFRICAN AND SUITED AFRICAN NATIONS, HOWEVER THEY FAILED TO DO THEIR JOBS. IF THEY HAD THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT. APC: Growth is a function of investment. The "NATION NIGERIA" comes first before any individual Nigerian. The Nigerian land is for the Nigerian people and all resources must be controlled by the federal system as well but investments is decided by the state. Investments are capital intensive and education is key. Diversification and management of resources is important. Self-sufficiency is the key. Build, Operate, Maintain and Transfer. |

The IMF like you in the fictional story I just gave you is simply pointing out the obvious! It is shocking when simply reject the obvious.
Buhari refused the naira to depreciate at the official rate.
What happened at the black market was even was than a devaluation: the currency crashed to 320 (even touching 397) at one time!
Unfortunately for you and me, many goods are priced at the black market rate so inflation is rising very fast. Its the highest it has been for 4 years.
If Buhari had allowed the currency to depreciate, it poorobably would have settled at around 250 and the black market 255.
The refusal to devalue has led to chronic dollar shortages has it has made the dollar tpp cheap leading to excessive demand at the official market. Also, individuals and companies with forex refuse to sell at the official rate because the price is to low. Who is pleased receiving WU at 197? Not me.
One of the causes of the epic and persistent petrol scarcity is the scarcity of forex by provate oil marketers to import petrol and augment government's effort. The weight is too much for the government to carry.

What they try to do is to force 3rd world country in to debt they cannot repay so that that they can sell all the national wealth to western companies. Have you wondered why they have privatisation of phcn took place, have u wonder why they are pushing for privatisation of the oil sector and other part of our economy.
You don't need to be an economist to see the obvious. Only a fool would tell me that they can't see the evil work of IMF
ask yourself again, why is she saying this now? That is becos nigeria have now decided to dump the dollars for Chinese yaun. This means, the IMF evil work have fail.they want to put nigeria into serious poverty condition.thank God buhari is wise enough to know this.they are also scare that other African countries will follow as well. This in the long run will completely destruct the western economy.
My point here is that each time a country is about to make a right move to develop herself, IMF have a way of saying that doing it will have grave implications. Take a look at the exchange rate.who is IMF to tell us to devalue our money. There are hidden agenda when IMF give advice to 3rd world countries.
Look at the Western countries economy, why did IMF not go and meet them to to devalue the euro, dollar etc. Even despite that their economy is in complete mess.
my point here is never to listen to IMF.they are there to serve the intrest of western countries Exactly!! And this is what Walter Rodney says in his books "How Europe underdeveloped Africa". No nation can develop except they control their means of production and capacities for wealth creation. That means Housing, light, food, industries, machinery, water must belong to the state or indeginous private owners. Else the wealth being created is being exported. And there is no development. |

musicwriter: Next thing the IMF will do is make our situation worse than is now, until the Nigerian masses go to the street to protest against the government. Then, both IMF, USA, world bank, would say ''I told you so''. Then, they would start funding stooge opposition party to bring down the Buhari government. They'll not rest until Buhari succumb to pressure to take their loan or they over-throw him. That's how they operate.
This's no conspiracy theory. It has been used in Argentina, Russia, Iran, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, e.t.c, e.t.c.
Watch out Africans!. The difference is we are africans and we are fighting for freedom. Anybody that campaigns for western slavery will be locked up immediately without question. |

VocalWalls: Personally, I will not support a leader who says other parents should withdraw their kids from foreign schools while his own kids have unlimited access to the nation's forex.
IMF is right on this one.
Although they have been pained by Buhari's China move, however, Nigerian students are now suffering.
Thank God many of them are good people, the news should have started reporting a higher crime rate abroad committed by Nigerian students abroad. And we take the funds are u going to pay the interest rate or what? Because u do not know the meaning of loans in the international banking system. Go and sleep Please. Read a book. |

Chubhie: The question then follows.. Are we better off under the siege of Daura economics than being occupied by the west with option of relief materials from red cross? Let Nigerians consider their options properly and make an informed decision. They shouldn't make a bad change decision the second time. Anything is better than western capitalism. If the igbos feel obliged to be under the White man, they can go ahead and enslave their own generations. Not my generations, not my Nigeria. We will be free. If we are poor, happy and free, that is fine by me. I will take Abacha over western capitalism. |

TheArchangel: Oh !! How I wish they will annex us as their colony and give us free access to their country. I cannot understand why there are people in this nation without brains. That you believe that U.S.A will give u, a black person who they categorize as a 3rd class citizen, they killed ur ancestors and robbed u blind will give u acess into their aspirational "KEEP U.S.A White" economy, is baffling. |
