These connection people are the major cause of the problem in this country

The bad thing is that we can't help it because I don't see it stopping anytime soon, the only thing we can hope and pray for is when people are given slots, they should leave a little for merit so we the common man can fight for it.


Because there is no way a federal or even state government recruitment will be conducted and you won't see someone that entered with connection, even if it is just one person.


There is a thread on this nairaland, everyday people keep getting offer letter into NCC, CBN, NASDRA and top top agencies in Abuja. Thia company will still come out and put a disclaimer out that it is a lie.


But when you have a genuine source and the money, you will buy the job.


Just as the popular saying goes, "na who they catch be thief, if they no catch you na to claim Saint".

So Minister of petroleum will bring list now and he will say he won't accept them, even if na half of them, he will accept as a thank you for helping me.


If there is something I have learnt, you don't bite the hands that fed you in government or politics, because it will take nothing to open your can of worms that you think people don't know.

All these merit and connection gist that is just flying everywhere, hmmm...


I have nothing to contribute has I know no one and I am just a common man, but it will be nice for us to just stop the talk for now so as not to demoralize people that are presently taking the recruitment seriously. Please.


Based on all the things that have been flying round in federal government agencies and presently the DSS SAGA that is presently going on, it will be in your best interest to be open minded in this recruitment so that in case it goes south (which I don't pray for), it will be easy to move on.


All I know is that the ES you guys vouch for, he can't keep thrashing the recommendation letters because there are some people that their name is 'connection itself' like those in the cabals, at least he must bow to them or some of them.

The best we can do is to hope and pray that we the common man will get a fair share because I have learnt enough from DPR and NNPC recruitment.

Don't he surprised some people that are here shouting the recruitment is 100% merit based and the ES has integrity (which I am not doubting because I don't know anything or anybody), most of them are the ones pulling strings underneath.


We saw it in DPR and NNPC, they will only show themselves during the last days when they finally get APL or towards the end when little or nothing can be done TO SPOIL their chances anymore.

Some people are rushing and sending PM to someone that is just about to scam them.

Information sharing is important but let's share only information that are verified. And let it be known that nobody is begging anybody to share information here.

This is even the more reason why many people gets hypertensive, expectant, desperate and later fall for cheap scam.

Whether you share or not, what will happen will happen.

People who gets scammed are people who are greedy and they deserve no pity or sympathy.

Where are you guys getting all these information from. As a resident of the city where the HQ is situated, people I know who work in the HR department do not even have any detail about this recruitment. Let's just be prepared while waiting for when they will eventually invite shortlisted candidates for the test and interview.

I was surprised also, I wanted to ask but as I don't have source or no anybody in government, I decided to keep shut because this is an anonymous forum and I don't want to start doubting people because I don't know who is who. Some said we will likely get mail tomorrow, some said this week is certain. It is well, my fingers are crossed

Also how can they send mail next week and ask people to do test or interview that same next week, is it not too sudden? Because to me it is too sudden

At least when an email comes in, it is meant to take at least a week before we do what is in the email..
