GlitteringStar: I think the person should use WES. @Enocoded4life used WES for her hubby's Nursing degree (I don't know if the evaluation result is out though). Yeah you are right. Hubby used WES for ECA. His colleague used IQAS so the choice is yours. |

Canadianfly: So I haven't really written how far with me coz work and pikins had person hand full. My 1st attempt of IELTS last month was 7.5 in Listening and I knew I had to register again plus WES decided to sit on both my degree and Oga's own. Anyway, I took the 14th October test in Abuja....those who took it that day knew what we went through with regards getting everything to work and we left the venue at almost 3pm. My results today: Listening - 9 Reading - 8 Writing - 7.5 Speaking - 8.5
Overall band 8.5. Just glad I'm done with British council . Wow!!! Congratulations. That listening result though |

No dulling Thank God this made you smile, I believe you too should dive into the pool, God's favour and our prayers are with you. You will get ITA dear. Can't dive into the pool now o, uniport has delayed in sending my bsc transcript to WES, I really regret adding my bsc for evaluation, I should have just stuck with my Msc. But it's all good, just a little bit of patience. |

I am just super excited and overwhelmed right now. All glory to God because He indeed answers prayers. Just checked my IELTS results now:
Listening: 8.0 Reading: 9.0 Writing: 7.5 Speaking: 8.0
Got just what I needed in all bands to get maximum scores. CRS now stands at 453. I pray UNIPORT sends my transcript to WES today as promised so that my evaluation can be completed. Can't wait to dive into pool. From here henceforth it's from glory to glory.
Special thanks to @yimiton, @Sunvick, @Dhimmy, @Algbenguze, @Hephgirl who encouraged me to rewrite IELTS when I shared my profile and former scores (LRSW 7.5, 9, 7, 6.5). They helped me calculate my possible CRS if I got an 8 in listening and told me I had no business with PNP. Today your advice has paid off. Thank you sirs and ma'am God bless you all.
To all hopefuls keep holding on, it's just around the corner. It will end in praise. |

Not written the IELTS
* about the IELTS, is it the only principal applicant that needs to write the text or spouse too?
I have 1 kid Please read from page 0 you will get all the info needed, but in my opinion your husband should be the principal applicant as he would get more points due to his educational degrees. From the evaluation WES did for my hubby and the one IQAS did for his colleague, RN is not equivalent to any Canadian degree, only their BNSc was assessed as equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor's degree. Both of you writing IELTS would give you more points. All the best. |

Please does anyone have an idea of how to get PCC from Benin Republic? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by enocoded4life(f): 8:54pm On Oct 25, 2017 |
Patterns18: Lets consider this, then you decide appropriately..
1. Did you get stamps on your passport for everytime you crossed the border ? PCC will be required if Yes.
2. Working in Benin for 4 years, I presume you intend to add that to you work history? How can you prove that without 1• above? If you can, you still have clearly showed you stayed in the country for over 6 months ...
...The above is only suggestive, you will have to decide. No my passport doesn't have BR stamp, I cross the border with my official ID card. Yes, I plan to use it as part of my work history , so I think I'll get the PCC to be on the safe side. Thanks for your response. |

Blackbuddy: To cover all bases, it's advisable you get the PCC for Benin republic. You lose nothing by putting it in place. Thank you sir for your response, I will get the PCC from Benin Republic. |

olajide21: Do you have Cotonou stamps on your international passport? If yes, you need a "made in cotonou PCC" if no, you never travel before be that hence you only need PCC from Alagbon.... wishing you the best. I don't have a Cotonou stamp on my passport, I have my ID card and that's all I need to cross the border. Lots of people work across the border so an official ID card suffices. Thanks for the response. |

Good evening everyone, hope you all had a great day. Well done to all the gurus who take out time to answer questions asked.
Please, concerning PCC... I live in badagry area of Lagos State, but I work as a lecturer in a university across the border in Cotonou. I cross the border almost every day to and from work. I have been doing this for Four years, but I have only passed a night in Cotonou.
Will I be required to produce a PCC for Benin Republic? |

area74: Great people of nairaland. I just started my own express entry dream. I have applied to WES for credential evaluation as well as requesting my school to forward my transcripts to them via UPS.
I need your assistance on how to fax the copy of my degree certificate to them electronically and if i am to write the WES reference number on the copy for easy tracking. People who have done it through this route should kindly help out.
Thank you. Use hello fax to send to WES. Its a free online fax service https://www.hellosign.com/products/hellofaxWES fax: 4169729004. I used the details above, which I got from this thread to send my bsc certificate on Saturday to Wes. I wrote my name, reference number and document info on a sheet of paper and scanned with an android phone app. I uploaded the scanned sheet along with my scanned certificate and faxed to WES. WES acknowledged and accepted the document yesterday. I and hubby had earlier spent money sending his certificates and my MSc certificate separately through FedEx. But this time around I sent my BSc for free. Thanks to all the gurus who have been providing a wealth of information on this thread. God bless you all. |

Sorry for the delay in response, I am just seeing this. He said the RN was professional while the BNsc was higher education. Omojegzy: @ encoded4life and other gurus in the house can also help. Please what type of education did your hubby select for his WES . I also have a BNSc in Nigeria am not sure of the type of education to select in my application. Confuse about the option to choose either Professional higher education or higher education . Thanks for quick response |

yimiton: You absolutely have no business thinking about a provincial nomination. I wrongly thought I needed it, but now I know better. If you get better scores in your writing (7)and listening ( you will get about 447 points if your spouse decides to assess his BSC He is assessing both RN and bsc, his report would be out soon. If he doesn't assess his BSC, you'll get 439. With both scores, you're almost 100% sure of getting direct ITA, so why will you want to consider provincial nomination? Now I know better.
Please either you ask for a remark of your IELTS or write another one. I will rewrite the IELTS. Thanks for you reply. I really appreciate it. |

Algbenguze: Please see my modified post earlier. Yes thanks just noticed it now. Hubby's RN and BNSc are already being evaluated by WES it's stated in his profile that his report will be ready October 5th. My own evaluation process is being delayed cos of NASU strike in uniport but by God grace I believe it will speed up soon. And I have decided to rewrite the IELTS again, was actually disappointed with this last result as this has been my lowest score do far. Thanks so much for your time. God bless you. |
