so if they don't know, how do they clear you, your course is not there, formerly processed a form, they couldn't clear cos it's not there, student had to accept another course..
Show proof. This one is clearly written on the portal. When for instance you studied Tourism and Home Management and you want to apply for PGD. Education and can't find your direct course but maybe you can see Hotel and Catering Management... It is a different case which most times are not easy to settle. But this is a different case as it is clearly spelt out on the application that any other degree (minimum of 2'2) is accepted. The case you cited is clearly a case of an admin officer who doesn't know his/her job but instead you sounded like it was an illegal thing @romeorailss was doing which is not and therefore had to hide to do it.
Cheers bro.

to get cleared and get the matric number, you would still need to process it internally, not every admission officer would clear you..
Internally inside where @Remeorailss... There's nothing internal about what you are qualified for. Don't let anyone mislead you. If they refuse to clear you, demand for the reasons and show your proof to dispute all their claims. I am sure many admin staff don't even know that "any other degree" has been added to the qualifications.

Ok brother I just checked your post . Still I did not see Engineering in the any other discipline , or am I missing something ?
Any other discipline means any other discipline which Engineering is a part. Do you get?
Example... 5 O level credit in Maths and English and other other subject. Those subjects could be Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba Language.

The only reason this problem has lasted this long is because ASSU just like everyone in this country are tired of the lies of the government. They have seen so much already. A government that signs agreements and years later, you still have to go on strike for them to fulfill their part of agreement... In this country, what we fight for most are what we are due- our rights and if you don't fight, nothing happens.
Cheers to all the young people out there suffering for the sins of bad leadership.

I never knew NOUN accepts any other discipline with second class. Lower for MBA. I already applied for M.A. English Language and have my admission letter. How can I do a change of course to MBA?
Do you have your matriculation number yet? If no, reach me on enskynelson(at)gmail(dot)com ASAP. Otherwise, you have to spend another 7500 to get another form (that will be faster) than paying 5k to change the course and it will take you much time.

Ok tnx . Though I lack the motivation for this particular course . My thrill has been in MBA

BUT i wonder why Engineers cannot study MBA directly . What is so difficult to grab ? It is baffling . Is this just in NOUN or other schools as well ?

Firm introduces anti-theft app ‘efphonetaxi’ to protect phone owners
By Juliet Umeh
A multi-national technology company, EF Network Nigeria Ltd has introduced an anti-theft application to check stolen or lost phones in Nigeria.
The app, ‘efphonetaxi,’ is designed to protect phone owners against theft and re-sales of stolen smartphones.

Explaining how the app operates, the company said the app helps retrieve and send the user’s stored contents to the user’s email.

It said: “It locks the phone, prevents unauthorized access to stored pictures, videos, messages, or contacts of the phone owner. The app alerts the phone owner of any change of SIM card, monitors, and tracks the phone location, including snapping pictures of criminals in possession of a stolen phone. All these are forwarded to the subscriber’s email address.

“The owner of the phone will do all these remotely. Once the phone is locked remotely by the owner, buying that stolen with efphonetaxi app is a mere waste of money.”
The company advises those who install the app on their phones to uninstall them before selling their phones legally because the app may not allow the new owner to operate the phone without the password.

It said:”The web-based internet application provides a platform with other features that could prompt a missing phone to speak out, wipe out completely phone and memory card contents and even browse or forward the owners’ calls from lost phone to another phone number.

Technical manager of the company, Mr. Kelvin Raymond said, the app could deter kidnapping since kidnappers’ location would be known, adding that the app provides a friendly pop-up message to the person in possession of the phone to return the phone to the owner.
He said: “Using the latest IoT and AI technology, efphonetaxi does not use battery since it does not poll any server to find out.”

For customers to access the web-based platform, simple registration and activation of the account is required on their website.

The company’s Chairman, Gideon Egbuchlam said through research and development, the company will continue to introduce new technologies, and implement products for the benefits of the Africa continent. The company has also opened its incubation division in Abuja, which will be recruiting brilliant IT youths with vision or invention minded, who will benefit from their funding and assistance in bringing their visions or inventions to the world.

Good morning all, samisha, enkynelson, please help with my query on Msc entrepreneurship. is this program starting this semester because it seems the courses have not been uploaded. or can someone change the course of study after semester registration has been done? please help
I have not got any information as regards this programme. A quick search on www.nouedu.net courseware still shows no course listed with ENT code at 800L. This is not a good sign. If the programme is ready, they will be course materials for it on the courseware. Maybe we should look for the Dean/HOD's contact and reach out to him/her for clarification as the SPGS may not have all the information about that. In I do further finding on this, I will relay here.
Cheers.

Dear experienced colleagues, which category of students, postgraduate or undergraduate, are eligible for seminar presentation?
What are the differences, if any, between project defense and seminar at NOUN?
Thanks.
Seminar presentation is for all categories of students.
Seminar presentation is done in all study centres but Project defence/presentation is for only PG students excluding PGD and MBA. And Project Defense/presentation is done only in Lagos, Uyo and Abuja Study Centres. Meaning all other study centres are to converge in those three zones.

Pls is there anyway to speed up, verify or authenticate my change of study center immediately, it been on since January?
The issue of change of Study Center is officially on hold at the moment as the Management has stopped all requests for change of Study Centre about a month+ before the exams.
All applications for change of Study Centre will only be attended to after the exams. So, Immediately the exams is concluded, resubmit your application if possible and we will take it up from there.

Alright thank you for the response. One more question is about referee, I initially thought it was not going to be needed for a PGD in Piece Studies considering it's not a masters and also look at the difficulty in getting 2 academic referee from where I finished from which is quiet a long while back. Any additional information about submission of refrees and how they would be contacted.

Thank you once again.
Referees are required for all PG students either Masters or PGD or PhD.
I don't think they are quite strict with that. Use anyone familar with your academics, not necessarily your lecturers.

Thank you for the feedback, quiet helpful. So does a PGD last same time as a Msc in terms of duration.
The question has been answered earlier. The duration of MSc Information Tech is the same with PGD Peace Studies, that is, two semesters. Some Masters Programme cannot be completed in two semesters.

Good morning everyone, my name is Gbenga and new here. I am interested in starting a PGD or Masters with NOUN. I don't know which of the programme would last 1year for a post graduate in Information Technology and also for someone interested In peace and conflict studies.

A response to this would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
If you have PGD Information Tech, M.Sc. Information Tech will be a course you are qualified for. Duration for the programme is minimum of 2 semesters.
As for Peace Studies, PGD. Peace Studies is OK. Duration is also a minimum of 2 semesters.
