Agriculture › I Want To Try Dry Season Ginger Farming But... by Enskynelson(op): 7:58pm On Dec 10, 2025 |
Hi everyone... I just thought of planting ginger this dry season. This is something I have never tried before. Yes, I am trying to gather all ideas I can especially from those that have tried this. Here are what I have: A full plot of land 100 by 60 fully fenced and gated I have access to organic manure from my chicken farm I have a source of water (a well with an overhead tank) The location is close to my house for monitoring. Farm location is Kaduna. Any advice will highly appreciated especially from those that have tried this either in rainy season or dry season. Thanks

jacko007: Hi Guys Please, I made a payment on the transcript portal with the intent of receiving the letter to my personal email, but I was told it must be a foreign mail. I now want a refund because it's meant to be generic (To Whom It May Concern). How do I proceed? I tried clicking on refund, and it's taking me back to the home page. Please, someone should help. The transcripts you can receive is STUDENT COPY. Try and contact the number on the website on the process of refund. |

I also observed a comment at the top left corner, indicating that registration has been disabled. However, my major worry is accessing the link for Transcript applications on the interface. Nigeria is a sovereign or suffering nation? A country that relies on aids from other country! A country that the north operates under penal code and the south operates under Criminal code? What is sovereign abeg? |

Are most data like this verifiable in Nigeria? We couldn't verify our late President's Certificate... they said the original was missing and they had to give him another one. Can we verify our population as it is right now? What you cannot verify doesn't mean it's false. In all these, the truth remains. There is much killings by various groups in Nigeria including terrorists and bandits and the govt is not doing much to stop it. Period! |

So far I've never seen fair skinned people trying to darken their looks, but we can't say the same thing about dark skinned people, can we? Yea, naturally fair people do not suffer from low self esteem unlike many dark skinned people. |

The legal framework is not bias but how come religious laws over-rule our national laws? For instance, where is it stated in our national law of punishment for perceived blasphemy? Yet, the Muslims keep using this tool and many others to murder people not of their belief and faith? |

It's already so late to study and complete my TMAs. Will it be possible to put it off? Till next year, while others are in the second year. Thanks! Yes, you can pause. You dont have to do anything officially. By next semester, you can proceed with your second semester 100L while some of those your mates will be in their first semester 200L. |

Kingju: When i login to my account through the noun sms link, on the portal, where it shows resumption dates and timetable, I see TMA witten as close, while other info are open.
Please can you guide me on how to access my TMA because I've tried accessing Elearn to get materials but I cant login. I tried using my mat number as username and password, it still won't login. Is there a way for me to get the login. The materials I'm reading now, i got them from online google search nou.edu.ng/e-courseware That is the link to all the materials you need. Select the host Faculty and search. You can only access elearn after exams registration. So, first do the exams registration. Check my DP for my contact email for more clarification |

But please, can I write exam without attending lectures and doing tma since that one is still closed TMAs are still opened. Where are you getting your info from? There are no lectures but online facilitation. Facilitation is not compulsory for you to be there. Studying your course materials is what is the major thing is preparing for the exams. |

Kingju: Hello
I got admission some weeks back, i registered courses for the semester but unfortunately didn't meet up with registering them for exam.
My question: would next semester for me be 2nd semester courses or would it still be first semester since I only registered the courses but i didn't sit for the exam? If you are an undergraduate student, please login and proceed with exams registration. But note that exams begin in November. If however you are not an Undergraduate student or you are not ready for the exams: 1. You will still pay semester registration fee by next semester 2. You wont pay course registration fees 3. You will proceed with exams registration after 1 above. 4. You will be starting your first semester by next semester and not second semester 5. Your semester registration fees will be lost (partly) since you will be required to do same by next semester before you can proceed with any registration |

Apination: I made an enquiry about Masters project and didn't get any feedback or reply. I registered for this current semester which is my last with my Project payment; I have submitted it at my study Centre since early September but still no reply on if my Project proposal has been approved. My questions are; 1. This semester has ended, would I be asked to make another payment? 2. How long does it take to approve project topics? 3. What's the duration for writing projects? Please do a follow up at the Study Centre. 1. You wont be required to make further payment even if it is next 5 years you complete the project (I heard you saying God forbid and I am with you on that). 2. It depends. Some is even automatic especially maylny undergraduate programs 3. Duration is at your own pace, whenever you finish. |

tobeezman: Not at all! If she was yoruba and she is proud of her yoruba name and heritage, I will not ghost her. I will choose a yoruba lady that bears "Kemi Joy Adeyeye" to "Joy Peters". I don't know how best to explain this. Yea, it is not Okay not to be proud of your background. But one thing is wrong with you which you may not have known until now. You are quick to judge people. Do you know or care to know why she said that? Or you think there is nothing in this world that should warrant such? In case you dont know, what she said is like denying Nigeria and not wanting to be identified as a Nigerian outside Nigeria. Do you know that if you listen to the sad tale of how injustice and much more has made people lost confidence in this country, you will agree with people who dont want to be identified as one? Let me give u a head up. Imagine a young lady who Boko haram killed all her relatives but somehow managed to escape; now she sees those who killed her family being pardoned and given presidential treatment. She sees the killers in her neighborhood living freely without facing the consequences of their actions. She is disappointed, she is depressed and cannot continue to live seeing those people free Such person can find a way out of this country and never want to be called a Nigerian because of the pains and agony the memories bring to them. Bro... I think you concluded too fast. You should have heard her out and maybe you could have had more solid reasons to either run faraway from her or found a reason to understand her stand. I have OND in Business Studies (Lower credit)
My preferred course of study is Criminology and Security studies.
Please any chance?
I can see Lower credit as the minimum requirement. Since OND Business Studies is not listed directly, you have to visit your prefer study Centre to see your qualifications since they will be the one to verify you. |

Efuaye: She should have ran away from the house to anywhere to restart life elsewhere. Why kîll yourself over unwanted marriage! What is wrong with this generation? How did sǔicide become an easy way out with little depression? Running away is easier if she has means to sustain herself, if she is a job she is doing, an NGO to fight for her, Uncles and Aunties who can understand her position. She may have not seen that as an option because the Uncles and Aunties she may have tried to talk to didn't see she was making a valid point... her culture may have not giving her such right over her father too. Her action shows a failed society. If she had wanted to remain in the marriage, the rage and hatred could have pushed her to kpai the husband and everyone then will be blaming her too. |
