Do you suggest that I should approach a study Centre near me or is NOUN no longer interested in running PhD Programmes?
That will be very OKAY

Is it really possible to have an auto increase in wallet balance?

My wallet balance last month was N2,500 but last week I logged in and t's showing N4,500.

How come the extra 2k? I didn't fund it or drop any course. I'm in 400L. I tried checking my wallet to see the transaction that brought it, but couldn't find any or see any 2k wallet credit transaction

Can I use the 2k to register DES303 exam so it'll reflect in my elearn?
abi NOUN dey do giveaway😄? Or Am I the only one experiencing it?
@Enskynelson
What happens is that, sometimes, due to error, you are over-charged or undercharged in some payments and once it is corrected, it brings about such changes which could be a reduction or an increase, and in this case it was an increment. Yes, you can use the fund for the 1500 DES exams registration.

I am not talking about all these your tactics...

And any other thing you posted. But did you consider that it may not be a case of manipulation but just a simple case of she being frigid or having low sexual drive genuinely?

Some people simply have low sex drives and it might not be about manipulation!
Do you know that a married woman with understanding and suffering from low sex drive will act differently? The way she is acting as explained by the OP is not only about low sex drive. Is it low sex drive that makes her not understand that her husband too has sexual needs? Is it low sex drive that is preventing her from trying to satisfy the desires of her husband? With those questions, you will know that even though she may have low sex drive, there is something else she wrong in her actions. A woman who really cares though suffering low sex drive should be able to sacrifice once in a while, should also be able to communicate how she is feeling and plead her husband give her some time... but u see this lady, she has more issues than just low sex drive.

Good day,
I am enrolled in PGD Economics and one of my courses is a Seminar, how do I go about it please?

Also I am registered for NOU707, but the exams was done in July, before I registered, How will I write the exams and will it affect me this semester?

Thanks.
Visit your study centre for guidance. You will be required to submit a topic and upon approval, you start the seminar.
As for NOU707, the one you registered for comes up after the POP.

You really need orientation. Dont miss Any chance for orientation.

Will the oath form only be available after matriculation? Is it a physical document or something that can be downloaded online?
Physical document. Even if you cannot complete the form, there is not penalty for that as well.

As regards the upcoming matriculation.

I thought it's a virtual process, or does it need physical attendance at the study centers?

For PG students, is attendance compulsory and is there any penalty for absenteeism?
You can join virtually. There is no penalty for not being able to attend either physically or virtually. Just get the oath form and fill at your study Centre.

Good evening everyone.

At the beginning of some of the course materials, they normally write something like "You must submit your Tutor-Marked Assignments to your facilitator before the due date, they must be marked and returned to you as soon as possible".

The submission of the TMAs they wrote about, is it different from the automatic online submission after writing it and clicking on the submit button?

Do I need to contact the tutors after writing the TMAs or is there any other step(s) I need to take as regards NOUN procedures before writing the exams when they finally commence?

Or I have done my part and just have to wait for the exams?
Kindly ignore that. It was like that when the school first began. Where we are now, your facilitator is no longer the one marking. Remember TMA stands for Tutor Marked Assignment, the name is derived from how it were then. Note that TUTOR is no longer the one marking the assignments. The only TMA now is the one on the elearn portal. Cheers.

Good evening everyone.

Please I am having a challenge regarding access to some PGDE course materials.

Courses like:
Edu 723: Basic Research Method in Education,
Edu 731: Curriculum Development,
Edu 713: Educational Management and Supervision. Don't have any course material in their resource section on the e-learning platform. The links there are unclickable in the three courses and Edu 731 doesn't have any discussion forum.

I tried it on another phone still the same result. What could be the problem and how do I tackle it as I am yet to access any materials on them to write the TMAs.

Is anyone experiencing the same or had gone through such, be it old or current students? Kindly help me.
Thanks.

Every University has it for the courses in each department.

Something like this. This is University of Nigeria course syllabus for English Education.

Good evening sir. I hope you're good. Please can i apply for the masters program without my transcript but i have a statement of result. If maybe i can apply and register with that and start learning pending when i would be able to provide it.
Statement of result not older than 3 years is allowed but must be with evidence of application for transcripts. You have to apply for your transcripts to be sent to NOUN and the evidence is what they will see before you are verified and given matriculation number.

Good morning sir. Thanks for the response. Please can I still apply next month? And you saying the semester has gone far, would it in anyway affect me, talking about the semester assessments and all, or you meant the time to prepare for exam?
If you apply late it implies that you either wait till next semester to start your registration or you register and have just few weeks to start exams.

Pls does NOUN use remaining balance in portal for final year clearance payments or it's refund I'll apply for?

And does the refund or using portal balance for clearance fees after 400L for actually work? I'm reading reports that NOUN introduced it 2-3 years ago but I don't know if it's actually effective.

I have N2,500 left after reg this semester, I don't know if I'll get a refund or be able to use it to balance up graduation clearance fees.
Or I should just use it to register one course, maybe the DES303.
Nope, down till last convocation, the wallet balance was not acceptable for final clearance.
Wallet balance however can be refunded although under stringent requirements which include presenting all your tellers for wallet funding from beginning to the end. You are required to write to the Bursary through your student centre director attaching all the evidences.

Hello house, my younger bro is trying to apply for admission with NOUN; however, he has a D7 in maths, all other subjects are B's and C's. What are the chances of getting admitted? He is reluctant to write WAEC again as the guy don advance for age, e say him head no fit carry secondary school books again grin grin

I know the requirements are at least a C in maths and English; however, he wants to study broadcast/film abi na how him tell me sef, which I am not sure if maths will be a big deal. He said he will proceed to apply with the results that way, hoping he gets admitted. Please, what are his chances? Or must he sit for another WAEC?

cc @Enskynelson and anyone who has an idea.
Zero chance because everything is automated. Once the Maths is below C, admission is declined. Sorry 😔

I'm legit tired of this sch at this point. Applied for PhD admission since July. When I log in to the applicant login page, I get "The link to your admision letter is yet to be enabled. You are yet to be screened".

Been getting this same message for 2 months now. I've called all the numbers I've found online. They all ring but no one picks. Sent emails and reminders. No response whatsoever.

I don tire

My current total credit units earned is 149. It's showing outstanding credit as -19. I don't know it's importance and understand how they got it because it doesn't match with the 12 outstanding credits from the 3 outstanding courses units (3+2+1) & project (6 units).

I called someone in my faculty to ask about the electives, he said minimum required elective units to graduate is 21 units and above that I should calculate total of all my electives unit and if it's less than 21 that I should add to it.

I calculated it and it's 12. In fact one of those elective like CIT484 AI is now C and 2 of the E I did in 200L are currently compulsory. I also noticed I didn't do any electives in 300L & only 1 in 400L 1st semester according to my statement of results.

So I'm just thinking of taking one elective per semester from those 6 electives list as that's what I heard is the general rule about electives to be on the safer side.
-19 outstanding credits means you have 19 credits units above the minimum required. It means, u don't need extra electives. Just focus on all your Core courses if you have any left.

DES303 was introduced in 2024/1 semester. If you were above 300L by then, it won't bind on you.

Hmn! OK, thanks. Pls there's another question I have on graduation clearance. You or any graduate who understands portal analysis should help out.

Is it outstanding courses in my statement of results or available courses I'm yet to register in my student portal they use to stop final year students from graduating?

In my statement of results, there are 3 outstanding courses (2 compulsory & 1 elective). In student portal, after checking off those I've done, I'm seeing the DES303, CIT191 along with 6 electives I've not done:
1 in 200L - PHY208
3 in 300L - CIT333, CIT371 & CIT332
2 in 400L - CIT463 & CIT484

I'm studying Info Tech, so I'm confused on what to do on the electives so they don't use it to hold me down till next year. My initial budget that I funded was for the 3 outstanding courses in my statement of results:
CIT191, CIT208 & CIT463
Note that oustsnding courses on your portal will include all electives which are not compulsory unless you are below the minimum required credits for graduation. That is the major difference between the one you see in your portal and the statement of result.

Back to what you presented above...
I think aside the electives, both are the same. For u to have only 3 electives left means you have taken other electives and I am sure those are quite enough for graduation. Focus on only the Core courses left aside the DES

I'm having the same issue with DES303 in my portal. It's among the registrable courses in my student portal but it is not among the outstanding courses in my statement of results from support portal.

I'm a final year student and ought to have graduated years ago but project and some other things delayed me, so this semester that I want to wrap up my project along with any outstanding courses I'm seeing it among my registerable courses in student portal.

Is it still advisable to leave it/not do it and they won't use it to tie me down for another semester registration to go and do it? Because I heard it's compulsory course for all departments.

How did it go for you last year with your graduation clearance @aliadi2
For DES303, even though the course is compulsory, it was clearly stated that it was compulsory for a particular level then. Help drop your Matriculation year. If it is old enough, I would bother to check to confirm. For instance NOU19xx... won't be required to do that course. Let's have your year of matriculation, let's see.
