life too.

Right now,am left to answer the question of

This Is How It Happened

He was soft spoken and very intelligent, he had asked me some questions about school and when I told him my plans, he said it was a wise one because there was nothing as fulfilling as following one’s passion in life.

Aunty Betty officially introduced us when she arrived at the salon….I must have made an impression on him as well because he kept coming to the salon everyday till it was time to go back to his school. He would hang around and crack jokes…he was really hilarious.

At a point, Aunty Betty had to ask what we were up to…she would say jokingly that she was totally in support, if we planned to take our friendship to the next level, to which Tunji would smile and I would pretend not to understand what she was talking about.

I wasn’t that experienced in relationship stuff…the only boy that ever claimed he was my boyfriend back in high school got a beating of his life when two of my brothers caught up with him (the benefits/woes of being an only girl with 4 big brothers). These were the same guys that would switch girls like they were disposable plates but their sister was off limits to all the boys in the neighborhood.

Tunji left after the schools were reopened and I thought that was it…after all; he never said he wanted to date me, although he was always coming to the salon all through his stay.

At first I had expected him to say something but when he left, without words, I assumed he was just a friendly guy that wanted to spend time with me and his aunt.

The day he left for school, he sent me a letter through his aunt but because I did not want to read it in her presence I put it in my pocket, when I got home I put it under a pile of clothes in my wardrobe but completely forgot about it.

There was a day I told Aunty Betty I wouldn’t be at the Salon because I had some errands to run for my mum. It must have been about 3 weeks after Tunji left. When I got home from where my mum sent me, he was in our house.

He was in the sitting room with two of my brothers and they seemed to be having a wonderful time. They were talking and laughing…I was shocked to see him.

I had been in an off and on relationship for nearly eight years, though we were more off than on.

There were times I tried to move on but I always allowed my emotions to draw me back since I loved the guy in question to a fault.

I can’t begin to narrate all the things he put me through, he can be very arrogant and so full of himself yet I would excitedly run back into his arms whenever he chose to open them to me again.

Sometime in the middle of last year, I traveled for his younger sister’s marriage.
She’s a close friend of mine too. I had thought that would be an opportunity to reconcile with my man but that didn’t happen.

It was there i met with the biggest disappointment and embarrassment of my life.

My boyfriend formed too busy and was not ready to give me any attention. All through my stay in their family house, he made extra effort to avoid any form of contact with me so I let him be.

Anyway, something else happened during my stay. His maternal uncle (not an old man please, but a young adorable guy in his late thirties) became interested in me.

We exchanged contacts, became friends right away and later started a relationship.
Now he has asked me to marry him and of course I said yes! I have since told him about his nephew and I.

My head ache now is my ex and his sister accusing me of damaging their relationship with their uncle.

They’ve been sending me text messages and throwing shades at me on social networks.

It’s really heartbreaking as most of the things they post are demeaning. Was I wrong in accepting to marry him? Should I have said no? I am not going back on the wedding which has been fixed for November this year, but I want to be convinced that I’m not treacherous as they both said I am.

I’m totally in a big mess while writing this to you! Actually to start with, I don’t think I can ever get over the shame which my Fantasy Life has caused me.

Sorry, I refuse to include my real name in this letter and I hope I don’t get critics from you and your readers.

I have had a horrible and rotten year and I’m dreading seeing my family and old mates/friends at my parents’ house this Sunday.

The reality is that my life is a total car crash. Please don’t see it like I’m over exaggerating,instead see it the other way.
I’m a liar, a fantasist and a fraud.

My parents think that I run a successful firm, date fabulous girls and earn loads of cash.
But I don’t even have enough money to buy my Mum a bottle of Perfume or my Dad some whisky.

Back in July I pretended to go to the south of Dubai for the whole month.

I googled searched a swanky hotel and claimed that I was there doing business and mixing with the rich and famous. I even told my oldest mate that I was having filthy sex with a famous reality star and she was begging me to marry her.

The reality is that I spent all summer dossing on an ex-colleague’s floor and doing a few night shifts in a warehouse. Hardly a jet-set lifestyle.

The only person who is aware of the truth about my circumstances is my sister.
She caught me out when she turned up at my current hovel with a present for my birthday.

I nearly died of shame when I spotted her car in the street and tried to run out the back door, but she stopped me and made me reveal everything to her.

Now she’s urging me to come clean and just tell the truth, but I know that everyone (especially my school mates) will judge me. Also I can’t stand being pitied and I know my parents will be too nice and that will crush and humiliate me.

What I’m so ashamed of is the fact that my folks have invested so much money, trust and energy in me over the years and my failure to make a success of anything has meant that I’ve let everyone down with myself inclusive.

I need a very good advice to re-shape my life again.

I’m In Love With My Wife’s Best Friend

I am deeply in love with my wife’s best friend.
This has been disturbing me for quite a long time now.

My wife’s best friend is a caring and loving friend who understands and stood by her friend (my wife) during her agonizing days.
I came to know her after i proposed to my wife and within a short period, got married to my wife which her friend became her best maid.

As time goes on, close to a year, I began having feelings for her to the extent am confused.

Despite the fact that i love my wife so much, i do love her friend too, to the extent i feel happy whenever she is around, and if she left, i feel like I’m alone.

She is almost my wife in character, understanding, love, and trust. Really i do love her with all my heart.
Now am in love with two women, which one happens to be her best friend.

Am confused, is it that am lusting after her (though i sometimes fantasized about her) Or really am in love with her?
