WHERE ARE THE RESULTS OF KOGI, ENUGU, ADAMAWA, BAUCHI, BENUE, AKWA IBOM, TARABA, RIVERS, EBONYI, ABUJA And other PDP dominated states?, Show me these results then i can throw a party nairaland. I AM FROM KOGI, THE PDP IS GASPING FOR SURVIVAL AS THE ANPP AND CPC ARE FAR AHEAD OF IT. |

Tinubu's prominence in ACN will always give me reservations about that party. I don't believe ACN is vastly different from PDP. What I am happy about is that the electorate has been given a chance to punish a people they saw as non performing by casting for others. Not all ACN governors are performers, just like not all PDP governors are non performers. I am just happy that we seem to be heading for a more balanced legislature that can hopefully work more for Nigerians. I don't necessarily see ACN having complete control of the legislature as a good thing and thankfully that won't be the case. IF I DON'T ANSWER THIS FALLACY, I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SLEEP WELL THIS NIGHT CHECK OUT THE ARRAY OF ACN LEGISLATORS: OLORUMBE MAMORA, ABIKE DABIRI, GANIYU SOLOMON, AND SO MANY OF THEM. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT KEEP THE RED AND GREEN CHAMBERS HOT. EXCEPT IF YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO WATCH THEIR SESSIONS REGULARLY
BESIDE, I DON'T HATE TINUBU AT ALL!!! TINUBU IT WAS THAT DRAGGED THE FG TO COURT OVER ALLOCATION TO LGAS IN LAGOS AND HE WON OBJ IN EVERYTHING IN EVERY COUNT. TINUBU PAID THE LGA ALLOCATIONS FOR MANY MONTHS WHEN OBJ DISOBEYED THE SUBSISTING COURT ORDER. WHY ELSE DO U THINK THAT LAGOSIANS HATE OBJ AND PDP SO MUCH? JONATHAN WILL END AS THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB |

AS WE WAIT FOR MORE RESULTS, ENJOY THIS STORY FROM DAILY TRUST:Angry youth heckle Vice President at Jumma’at mosque Saturday, 09 April 2011 03:51 Ibraheem Musa, Kaduna Vice President Namadi Sambo was heckled and booed by angry youth after saying his Jumma’at prayers at Al-Mannar Mosque, located at Camp Road, Kaduna, close to his Link Road residence yesterday, Malam Tukur Adam Almanar, Imam of the mosque confirmed. According to the Imam, the Vice President’s protocol had earlier intimated him that Sambo will perform his prayers at Al-Mannar and Malam Tukur made provisions for the august visitor at the front row. Before the prayer began, the Imam’s sermon had dwelt on the need for peaceful conduct during and after elections and the need to respect elders and those in authority irrespective of political differences.
Imam Tukur said that after the prayers, he was still inside the mosque when he heard commotion outside and he was told that the Vice President was being harassed. Malam Isa Musa, an eyewitness, told Weekly Trust that the youths surrounded Sambo, chanting “Najeriya sai Buhari” (“Nigeria is Buhari’s”) and he was made to repeat the phrase before he was allowed to proceed.
Alhaji Umar Sani, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President admitted that the incident occurred but not as popularly portrayed. He said that it is not correct to say that Sambo was booed, adding that it is also wrong to allege that the Vice President was forced to say a popular pro-Buhari slogan.
According to him, the youth numbered about 10 and they shouted ``Sai Buhari`` while the Vice President merely smiled at them. The security agents did not harass anyone, he said, adding that that ``shows maturity and respect for others’ opinion.``
Last Friday, the Vice President prayed at Maiduguri Road Mosque and after he had left, a few people started shouting ``Sai Buhari``. |

A suspected bomber has reportedly died in an explosion at a polling unit in Unguwar Doki near Monday Market in Maiduguri, Borno State. The explosion, which occurred as accreditation of voters was underway, led to a fire at the abandoned nearby Maiduguri International Hotel. Reports said the dead man was trying to detonate the bomb when he blew himself up accidentally. An unspecified number of people were injured in the blast and rushed to the hospital.
Response teams were immediately mobilised to the scene by the National Emergency Management Agency, Nigeria Police and Nigeria Security and civil Defence Corps, according NEMA’s spokesman, Mr. Yushau Shuaibu. He, however, told THE PUNCH that he had no knowledge of any deaths
“I can confirm that there has been no death. Only injuries while victims have been taken to hospital from Unguwar Doki polling unit in Maiduguri,” he stated.
About 28 people were reportedly killed in an explosion on Friday night at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Suleja, Niger State.More details later. |
