maclatunji:You are of course entitled to your own (foolish or wise) opinion. Must you display your hatred for the southeasters so openly? If your wish could become binding on all, we now know what they will be. But, I wish you prosperity and better reasoning. No abuses, you are our friend. |
mabea:Thank you for softening you speech. My worry over us as Ndigbo is that other major tribes has plans, but we (Ndigbo) do not. Its about time we have come up with a perfect plan for all Ndigbo home and abroad. Do you agree? |

What do you say, convince me you are Igbo by generating a superior reasoning |
mabea:Please dear, if you are Igbo indeed, do you think Kanu and co. Were as smart as should be best igbo-brain if Biafra is to be achieved? Common, what Kanu wished to achieve is semi-impossible and requires like a 30-40yrs plan which can only be achieved bit by bit with consistency. Have you as a wise Igbo person evaluated what IPOB did? I'll tell you. They started by creating awareness and, they forgot to put the interest of all Igbos at heart so as to carry everyone along. All of a sudden, they were calling for all Igbos in the other part of Nigeria to return home, and when they did not see compliance, they labelled Ndigbo abroad as pigs. You endorsed all that didn't you? Look, it will take a thorough plan that will lead to winning the minds of Ndigbo home and abroad such that members of the movement will win electoral posts both states and feds. Such people will administer better representations/governances such that Ndigbo will be made to see what it will be like if the dream country is achieved. The plan will also include that of resettlement of abroad Ndigbo returning home, not just a 3yrs agitation which if it hit the wall, the agitators will become aggressive and frustrated to keep using abuses on any person with contrary view. Are you with me? Let's prove why we are Igbo |
attackgat:Attackgat, my friend and brother, did you read my post on "the excesses of ipob's Nnamdi kanu"? You can read it now. Kanu digressed. You should not tell me the hatred which he adopted lately was the original plan. Come on, Igbos which I am one of are the greatest strategists and can achieve anything with persistence and focus if well planned. You admit its a hard thing to achieve Biafra following the legally acceptable procedure. Do you think following the back door through hatred can achieve it ![]() Pls give me a better argument |
Fineman87:Fineman87, if you persist that am not OK then may be you should recommend a science lab where you will be the scientist to examine my wellness or otherwise |
honourhim:Thanks, for the optimism that you have projected on all Ndigbo, despite the odds |
I am passionately interested in creativity, especially in fashion designing and interior decoration. I need well informed Nairalanders to guide me on which renowned fashion establishment at which I may join or bring an apprentice to learn from. Any one with useful information should kindly offer it to me. Thanks. Eodavids. |
baralatie:Except calling for violence, and hate speeches against non-Igbos, every other things Kanu did may be safely subsumed under "freedom of thought and of speech". Don't you think so? |
The reversing trailer most likely caused this unfortunate deaths. Could have been avoided if utmost carefulness was applied. R.I. P. to the dead. Condolences to the family |
baralatie:Well, even if not exactly, there is always a solution to each problem |
Afonjanightmare:Very okay, friend. |
The ethnic group aborigin in south east Nigeria are supposedly peaceful people. Peaceful people, by laws (or principles) of cause and effect, are entitled to enjoy peaceful life. This supposition may have being threatened by realities on ground. Over time, (excluding the Biafra incidence of 1967-69) The Igbo people have been known to concentrate on buying and selling across Nigeria and beyond. They are not prone to trouble making. And they have always ignored trouble when it knocks their doors. They do this by minding their own business, and not interfering in other people's affairs. Things are now changing, because Ndigbo has a lot to worry about, especially the actions of the home based Igbo youths which endangers the Igbos abroad. There must be a deliberate effort put in place to secure the safety of Ndigbo home and abroad, one of such efforts must be directed in curbing of youth excesses. Nairalanders, let's all contribute our 2kobo each to this discuss. Thank you. Emmanuel Odoabuchi. |
The worst is, the mechanics through contaminated oil on the ground, the small factories pour all chemicals at the back of their small factory. This is what one of the causes the Cancer in Nigerian today not GMO yet. God allows all these to sink into the ground. Because, he created the laws that operate everything in the universe and he cannot change it for Nigerians despite the prayers. The big man said he has a clean borehole so he drinks from the water. The other big man says no, I only drink Eva water, but he does brush his teeth with the water. Hmm. Genius. So when he gets cancer, he goes to church to pray for God to destroy his enemies. But God never really answers those prayers. Now, because you have a city of over 500,000 households all draining their poo into the aquifer, the underground water is getting highly contaminate. Our cities are all sitting on a health time bomb. Because Nigerians are drinking their own poo. This is serious, it really is. |
Mynd44:How do I forward my book to the Akefast? |
Kazrem:Kazeem Abolore, Congrats! I am really happy for you. Pls, how can one get his written work to Amazon? |
OjukwuWarBird:This is a scary truth |
Cuche:Well said. You are indeed wise |
burkingx:You are a funny person. |
Alcatraz005:please moderate your comment. You are very matured. We must all rise above hate. |
Alcatraz005:s If I come to Lagos, and am ready to work hard doing genuine business; will you guide me into good success? |
haryorbarmie83:That is inconsequential because they had not threatened to quit any non-Igbos |
Alcatraz005:Are you living in Lagos? I will liverage on your wealth of experience if you oblige me |
LordOfNaira:Good! |
Cacawa2:Well, but the fear is not about Nnamdi Kanu. Its about citizens of Nigeria exploding with anger against each other as suffering has been the order of the day and people now seek the avenue to vent off their anger. October 1 threat was activated and deactivated in northern Nigeria. What I want to know is if there is possibility or any thing that can reactivate the erstwhile threat |
Nemesis1:Thanks |
Alcatraz005:Mmmmmmh! Pls enlighten me further |
OrestesDante:Yes, but the fear of Oct.1 is premised at the north, while the python is dancing in the Southeast |
It was the most trending news prior to the return of president Mohammadu Buhari from London. It was upon the president's return that Arewa Youths withdrew their threat to eject Ndigbo from Northern Nigeria. Even though the 'quit notice' was withdrawn, critical thinkers are interested in knowing if there are still reasons to panic. IS THERE ANY THING THAT COULD RE-ACTIVATE THAT THREAT? I need answers please. |
United Nigeria is better than a pieces of fragmented nations that shall make no impact. Let's remain one. However, all part of Nigeria should be made to have basic amenities from the government, so that none can lay a claim of being held into a "forced marriage". Let's sweeten the union. Thanks Seun! |
Biafra as a project is not dead. It remains the rallying point for Ndigbo home and abroad. What is lacking right now is good leadership. A MOSES SHALL ARISE, ONE DAY!! |
It is never wrong for any individual to speak and, or act in defence or for the collective benefit of his own people. History is always fair to people, whether dead or alive, who worked tirelessly in favour of their kinsmen, especially so that such people can have a better life. Topics of this nature bring alive the memory of people like Mandela, Ghandi, and Martin Luther King Jnr. to name a few. When Nnamdi Kanu began his acclaimed movement for libration of Ndigbo from marginalization, it looked as if he was genuinely integrated in the issues which affects the Igbo nation. However, on the process of time, Kanu has proven to the world that he is obsessed with a lot of things, not just the situation with the Igbo nation. Obsession without due concentration leads to regrettable excesses; this being the case with Kanu and his IPOB. 1) It is extraneous for Kanu to attack any individual non-Igbo if he intended to actualize Biafra. This is so because BIAFRA STRUGGLE MUST BE KEPT ISSUES BASED without attack on any individual. Kanu rather went on attacking individuals such as President Buhari, former presidents Jonathan and Obasanjo among others. This was unnecessary because Biafra issues are issues that all sane persons in Nigeria and abroad are abraist with and every one knows that Ndigbo deserve better than what they have been given in the Nigerian project, and even non-Igbos have joined the call for a better lot for Ndigbo in Nigeria. 2) Hate speech overshadowed the later days of Kanu and his IPOB group. Why the hate speech? Was it that Kanu got frustrated? In his hate speech, he attacked the Yorubas, the Hausas and the Fulanis and also, the Igbos living in the northern part of Nigeria. That wasn't called for in Biafra struggle. Ndigbo needs to cooperate with the other components of the Nigeria project whether in getting a better lot in Nigeria for the Igbos or in the achievement of the Biafra dream. Either way, Ndigbo cannot force their wish on the others, but can persuade them on things that affects and interests the entire Igbo Nation. 3) Call for hate and harm against Hausas and Fulanis in south east. This, though not very much authenticated, stands to be the worst of it all, if Kanu and his Ipob really called for or attempted to harm northerners residing in the south east. The population of Ndigbo in northern Nigeria is 100times more than the population of Hausas and Fulanis residing in Southeast. How can a sane Igbo person attack the later for any reason whatsoever. 4) Misconception that beclouded Nnamdi Kanu's reasoning: Kanu had thought that all Hausas and Fulanis hate Ndigbo. However, I am a living witness to the fact that Kanu is wrong. I have live 22years in northern Nigeria. Having seen the good, the bad and the ugly in Northern Nigeria: I testify that majority of the Hausas and Fulanis do not hate Ndigbo. Even on Biafra issues, I have met so many Fulanis and Hausas who truly sympathizes with Kanu's struggle and wished to meet him and encourage him. One of such people said to me: if the Nigerian project is not working, then an alternative become imperative, and Kanu is doing the right thing because the Nigeria of our dream has eluded us all... That is what a person whom Nnamdi Kanu would call 'Hausa-Fulani' said to me last month (August 2017) when he discussed Biafra issues with me. The unfortunate thing is that Kanu had generalized all Hausas and Fulanis and abused them as if they are altogether enemies of Biafra/Ndigbo. Another Misconception: No country stands aloof from her neighbouring countries and thrive. Go and ask North Korea, Qatar, Iran, etc. The above three countries have a lot of potentials, but not being at peace with other countries, esp. Neighbours makes the immediate country merely aggressive, while it remains less developed compared to the countries that interact and cooperate freely with the outside world. Ndigbo do not need neighbours that shall have only enmity to maintain with. Igbos need cooperation and free relationship with all our Neighbours. Therefore, those who wish to lead Ndigbo on the Biafra project must have in mind that, even if Biafra is achieved, the majority of Ndigbo will still obtain visas to various countries of the world, including Arewa land. Also, many people from other countries of the world will apply for Biafra visa and Hausas and Fulanus will form many of this. Kanu shot himself on the foot when he chose to disseminate the message of hate. Any person who must lead Ndigbo should not hate Northerners, or southwesterners. These non-igbos shall be the ones who will assist in actualising either a better lot for Ndigbo in Nigeria or the envisaged Biafra. Ndigbo must learn to love non-Igbos. Whether Yoruba, Hausa or Fulani, there are known individuals from these major tribes who speak in favour of Ndigbo and they deserve respect and not hatred. God bless Ndigbo! God bless Hausas, Yorubas and Fulani's!! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. From: Emmanuel Odoabuchi. In Gombe. |
