Just read your poo.... ".... Entitlement as the third most populous tribe"

Do you think this is all about entitlement? We are talking about justice, equity and merit, you are talking about entitlement.

All this while before the emergence of the Agitations, were igbos given their dues?

Ogbeni be careful and stop the polite insult.
You should wise up rather. If what Kanu is doing interests you, explain whyhuh?

You should quite know that petty abuses and rallies cannot result into separating Ndigbo from Nigeria. Rather, it will lead to hatred of Ndigbo by the Non-Igbos.

Poser: if Kanu's/Ipob's actions will actually not give Ndigbo Biafra (which you know is a fact), what is it that interests you in their actionshuh

Are you saying you delight in futility??

Wise up now!!!

Interesting. May I know when you took a poll to determine who are the "tiny few" and who are the "overwhelming majority". You expect productive, enterprising, busy Igbos all across the country who are opposed or indifferent to the agitations of unruly mobs to gather on the streets making empty noise?

Delusion (or reality-denial) remains an incurable disease until the poo of reality hits the fan. Keep deceiving yourselves. Sit secure in your ivory tower of intellectualism postulating how the interest of the tiny few is superior to the will of the overwhelming majority. Time will tell who's right or wrong, who failed from grace and who rose to it- you or Kanu.
My bros, are you Onye Igbo?

If you are one, good.
Perhaps you really meant what you typed up there. But you should have a rethink.

Why?

Because the security, safety, survival and general welfare of Ndigbo should should be our priority now, not playing the secession politics that is capable of endangering the general welfare of Ndigbo.

Let someone tell Nnamdi Kanu that what he is doing will not give Ndigbo Biafra. Rather, his actions will alienate Ndigbo from their entitlement as the third most populous Tribe in Nigeria.

Let not Ndigbo, who hitherto were known for wisdom and bravery become foolish because of Nnamdi Kanu.

Sorry it hurts but I can speak categorically about this one. BTW are you transgenderhuh? You sound overly concerned.

Anybody can contest anything in court but if the president has acted within his powers then there's nothing you can do bro. The EO will stand

All Obama librard judges overturned the travel ban from California to Hawaii and what did the Supreme Court do? Yea your guess is as good as mine. They upheld it!

A commander in chief has the right to decide that transgender should not work in the military because of the cost implications and other petty issues that accompany sex change. Military is for serious minded people not those who have self confidence crisis to the point of wanting to be what they are not.

You can join them to challenge it in court since you know alot about transgender rights
Well said. Kudos to you

PoliticsRe: Senate Considers 32 Constitutional Amendments by eodavids(m): 3:14pm On Jul 26, 2017
Good one from the Senate.

The NASS should note the 34th item requiring amendment. This is the unbundling of Laws of Intellectual Property out of the Exclusive Legislative list, unto the Concurrent Legislative list.

The laws regulating Copyright, Patent, Trademark, Industrial Designs and other similar laws have always been stalled and underutilized due to the fact that states legislature and states judiciary are handicapped when it comes to laws of Intellectual Property.

To make Nigeria such a country that should experience true development, whether technological or economical; States must be brought in through constutional amendment that allows for both Federal and state participation.

What we have currently should not be allowed to continue, as ONLY NATIONAL ASSEMBLY HAS POWERS TO LEGISLATE ON THE SUBJECT. ONLY FEDEDRAL HIGH COURTS ALSO HAS THE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION TO DETERMINE ISSUES BORDERING ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

Let this law be amended to allow for State assemblies and States High Court because the Federal High Courts are not effective in majority of States of the Nigerian Federation, leading to a somewhat of apathy on this area of our laws.

Judges of many of The Federal High Courts in various states have many States to cover and therefore always visiting in nature. The effect is that a Judge will have many states to cover under his "ZONE" and will sit perhaps once in a long while in each of the states under his zone.

If states High Court are granted JURISDICTION, the observance and enforcement will come alive, which will in turn lead to inventions for patents; designs for, and by industrial workers; copyrightable works, to mention a few.

Nice picture u have painted.

But, firstly, Biafra is not a result of military standoff of the military govt era. Biafra is our origin, our root and our hope.

There has Neva been any country that exists on its on and has it on including world powerful countries like US, Russia, China, and I dont think Biafra would be an exception.

Rightly u have said Nigeria can not let go of that major root of nationhood but the root has been marginalized despite d fact it holds the burden of the branches.

However u are right to say that there is no sitting govt official that would want to talk about biafra but I must tell u it is out greedy of loosing out of their present portfolio and not they don't know that it is right to let Biafra go.

In biafra I believe.
I admire your wisdom.
However, I am one of the Igbos who wishes that all Ndigbo be safe from unnecessary danger in Nigeria.

How can we make sure no Ibgo life is lost if Kanu's Ipob continues to agitate carelessly?

PoliticsCome Look At The Bigger Picture: An Advice To Ipob & Arewa Youths. by eodavids(op): 12:35pm On Jul 25, 2017
The happenings in our present day Nigeria requires that our young men be called to order. But much of this have not been seen yet.

Of all the maladies confronting Nigeria today, only the hunger in the land occasioned by recession can rank above the this youths restiveness being championed by Ipob and Arewa youths.

WHAT IPOB HAS DONE:
Ipob is one of the pressure groups aiming to establish and erstwhile country, which was no more than a child of necessity because of a fall out among the then military high ranks.

Through the actions of Nnamdi Kanu, Ipob constituted itself into an opposition to the Nigerian state. This has resulted into a situation where every Nigerian, (Igbos inclusive) whose thought is aligned with Nigeria feels worried by the agitation by Ipob.

This worry talked about here is very much evident in Northern Nigeria, as both young and old, elites and commoners are alike disturbed by the fact that Ipob continues to agitate for Biafra.

WHAT AREWA YOUTHS HAS DONE:
The worry referred to above has given birth to bitterness against all persons called IGBO residing in Northern Nigeria.

Some young men of Northern Nigeria have now organised themselves into what can safely be termed the NORTHERN VERSION OF AGITATORS.

The basis if the agitation by Northern youths is still Biafra. These Arewa youths has, from a bitter motive decided to bring the future closer to the Ipob by helping them achieve Biafra.

The bitterness shrouding the actions of the Northern youths has led them to issue a "quit notice" to Ndigbo in the Northern part of Nigeria and have made plans to seize the belongings of all the Igbos in the 19 Northern States of Nigeria.

THE BIGGER PICTURE:
The bigger picture which I would want both Ipob and Arewa youths to look at is the fact that a Northern Nigeria without Igbos and a Biafra without Northerners is both undesirable and unachievable.

The undesirable picture I am painting is based on the fact that no country is an island and if Arewa land confiscates properties of Ndigbo in their land for any reason; they would have shot themselves in the leg, as no reasonable individual, company or country will establish something tangible in Arewa land forever.
This is because history will be unfair to them, reading: "THEY WILL CONFISCATE THE BELONGING WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE..."

On the other hand, Biafra proponents should look at this bigger picture and heed caution. Nigeria cannot be pressurized to let go an important part of its existence.

Igbos are not insignificant in Nigeria, thus how can the Nigerian State for any reason let go, a major root of its Nationhood. The resultant effect of letting Biafra secede from Nigeria is unimaginable, therefore no sitting President, no Governor, no legislative house would want to even contemplate such, let alone key into it.

FINAL WORDS:
IF NIGERIA SHOULD DISINTEGRATE, IGBOS WILL SECURE VISA TO COME TRADE IN AREWA LAND AND VISES VERSA.

BUT, THANK GOD THIS EXTREME POSITION IS BOTH UNDESIRABLE AND UNACHIEVABLE.

I think we should go the opposite direction by marrying more than one woman, to prove to this kind of ungodly white men that we rather live the ancient African marriage life than become modern into homosexuality/lesbianism.

I will rather marry more than one woman. Last time I checked, this is more human than the inhuman/unnatural evil allowed by the Western countries.

I do not find it convenient to keep quiet when lies are being told to millions of people at once.

This obla man may be right that agitators are wasting time as the Nigerian constitution did not recognize referendum.....

The lies however is in the saying that Biafran agitation started after Buhari won the 2015 election.

Come on Obla, so many agitators like Uwazuruike and co have been agitating since Abacha regime.
Even KANU started his under Jonathan and insulted the Jonathanian government. It was the wisdom of that government that made kanu unpopular then.

It was when Baba came that he together with the media houses made Kanu popular.

IAMMUIC:
My name is Macquis Udochukwu and I'm Igbo by ethnicity. I was born and brought up in lagos, in other words I've been in Lagos all my life. So also my parents. My parents have invested so much in Lagos, and telling them to leave behind all their investments and properties behind and move over to the region Biafra really doesn't settle well with me. Igbos Keep complaining about them being marginalized, but are they the only ones who have been marginalized in Nigeria?

I recently stumbled on an article where the so-called Messiah of the igbos Nnamdi Kanu openly declared his plans to bring Nigeria to ruins, a threat he plans to carry out by making sure no president emerges in 2019. According to him, all Biafran states will boycott the 2019 presidential election.

One thing I know for certain is that the only thing that can separate Nigeria is war. Another Civil war! It was also the case with Sudan and other countries that suffered secession as we all know it. What really happened in Sudan? After South Sudan had gotten the much desired freedom, was there ever peace within their walls? If at all the goal of Nnamdi Kanu and a handful of igbos are achieved, will Biafra ever be a nation of peace, stability and prosperity?

Truth is, the problem with Nigeria isn't Nigeria, a particular set of tribe or people, it is man himself. Man by nature is corrupt as we all know, Nnamdi Kanu himself isn't free corruption or human flaws. He too would disappoint as many as put their trust in him. We live in a flawed world overflowing with flawed men, igbos and every other tribe should understand this and live with it. Biafra is not going to be heaven or Canaan land as some are programmed to believe. There would be problems, such as we're currently experiencing in Nigeria.

I'm not comfortable with Nnamdi saying things on behalf of the entire Igbo nation as though he speaks for the entire Igbo nation. Let a poll be conducted to decide which Igbos are in support of Nnamdi's selfish action and those not in support. This would go a long way to correct the impression that all igbos are in full support of his actions. By the way, I wonder how Biafra would survive without the support of the Niger Delta region.

As Nigerians let us be wise and not be a gullible people. Let us not act like lower animals-the likes of cows and sheep, programmed to never think, but just follow anyone who leads them not minding the credibility or motif of the said shepherd.

God bless Nigeria and those dwelling within her walls!

Bro, when we clamour for youth to take over this country, I bet you that we might find ourselves in more mess than what we currenctly are. Mind you, I am a youth and partly support youth taking over, but before we move to that level, do we really define the kind of youth we want?

Take for instance, lets make take Nairaland forum as instance, some categories of youths we have here are more corrupt than those old thieves, both minded and character, this will give you a clue to the future leaders we are nurturing.

Another example are the present youth in the politics e.g, Dino, Saraki, Gov. Bello etc what future do this country have in such people?
Most people shouting now are only doing this for personal gain.

My conclusion is, If truly We youth are ready to lead this country, we must start from condemning every single corrupt leaders no matter their Party, Religion, Ethnic. It is so annoying seeing youth who can not yet define their future supporting an accused person facing trial. They use us to make their ways to the top and then dump us by the road side, waiting for another 4yrs to be sharing 1k, 2k highest 5k

The major problem buhari have today is doing what no other past president have gut to do, by standing against corruption (though one sided) this makes him gather more enemies even in his own camp. What are our own contribution the fight against corruption? Condemnations. Mind you, If Buhari refused to steal any kobo for all the time he will spend in office none of his children will be poor. What I was expecting is, why cant we allow someone to lay a foundation to fight against corruption and let better person take it up and do it proper latter? All we contribute online is to abuse each other religion, ethnics while those idiots will meet in Abuja and laugh at us.

Did you ever see Yusuf Buhari during his father's campaign? NO, he only came back with him for innaguration while many youths lost their lifes and some wounded during his campaign.

We better get it right once and for All
You are really thinking, I must say. But can the youths of Nigeria unite?

Especially with Northern youths finding it very convenient to issue quit notice to SouthEasterners in the North?

The Nigerian youths still have a long way to go, if you consider carefully.

A patriotic Southern youth cannot attempt to eject his Northern counterpart in the south and vise versa. Except we begin to think this way, there may Still be no hope in sight (am sorry).

The Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku Community in Umuahia north local government area of Abia State on Thursday dissociated themselves from the call for succession as being championed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

DAILY POST reports that the community pledged their support and loyalty to a united and indivisible Nigeria.

Isiama Afaraukwu ibeku community is the hometown of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Addressing journalists in a press conference organized by the community on Thursday, an elder statesman, Chief Geoffrey Onyemaobi said the people of Isiama Afaraukwu ibeku was not part of the agitation for sovereign state of Biafra, just as he raised alarm over the invasion of the community by IPOB members.

He explained that on Wednesday, the community was invaded by members of IPOB, with over five hundred vehicles, which led to heavy traffic jam in the area.

According to Onyemaobi, the IPOB members blocked the entire roads in the community and that it took residents of the community about two hours to get home from Umuahia town.

He pointed out that it took him two hours to get Isiama Afaraukwu from the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) junction, Umuahia, appealing to federal and Abia state governments to come to their aid over the invasion of the community by those he referred as ‘outsiders’.

Onyemaobi restated once again that Isiama Afaraukwu ibeku was not supporting break-up of Nigeria, maintaining that they joined other well meaning individuals on the call for Nigeria restructuring.

His words,”They invaded my community, isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku yesterday, that’s on Wednesday.

Why has Kanu chosen to drag the Ndigbo into a colossal danger?
Even The Great Ikemba who was well educated, internationally connected and who fought a fierce war against the then Nigerian government; Ikemba had realigned with Nigeria and urged Ndigbo to remain in Nigeria.
Why should Kanu foolishly drag Ndigbo into trouble?
