This should not be taken likely going forward. Hold it there @Ignis The government of our country can do better than what they're doing currently. There are more than 150million worshipers (even though of different creeds) in Nigeria and these are people who believes God in Heaven will help Nigeria out of corona virus pandemic. WHAT OUR GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO DO IS MAKE AVAILABLE TESTING EQUIPMENTS SUCH THAT ALL WORSHIPERS GETS TESTED BEFORE CONGREGATING IN THEIR WORSHIP HALLS. THE POSITIVES IDENTIFIES AND ISOLATED/QUARANTINED WHILE THE NEGATIVES PROCEED TO WORSHIP. MANY STATES OF NIGERIA HAS FEW CASES OF THE VIRUS AND SHUTTING DOWN EVERY THING AND EVERY ONE THIS EARLY WITHOUT MASSIVE TESTING ISN'T ENOUGH ON THE PART OF THE GOVERNMENT. |

oyatz: You most likely typed this post out of ignorance.
Ventilators are medical devices/machines (depending on the sophistication) that help a patient to continue to breath even when the patient's natural respiratory system is failing.
There are many conditions( Pneumonia, Lung fibrosis, Bronchogenic cancinoma, Trauma due to road accident or physical assault/gun shot etc) that may require the use of ventilators to argument the breathing of patients.
Every Tertiary Hospital in Nigeria should have at least 2-3 ventilators and before this COVID-19 pandemic, the prices were around 1-4 million Naira depending on the type. There are even simple manual ventilators that are operated by hands. So why haven't you gone into the production of ventilators if its the most lucrative business to do? |

The lesson and experience from corona virus (alias covid-19) is thus: The virus began in Wuhan China from December 2019 and ravaged China till mid February 2020 before they had respite. While China struggled with the virus, the rest of the world looked on from afar.
February-march 2020 saw respite of corona virus in China but, as though the virus migrated, the Americas and European countries became the epicenter of the covid-19 scourge. Till this moment, first week of April 2020, Europe and the Americas are suffering heavily under the jackboot of corona virus.
Nigeria and some other African countries are looking on from afar (relatively) while Europe and America are almost on their knees begging for help.
We in Nigeria have bragged of having climate that is hot and not conducive for covid-19 but that is not enough. Not even reliable at all.
We should not loose sight of the fact that we are soon going to enter wet season where rain fall will dilute our otherwise hot weather and, when that time comes, (soon) what effect or aid it will have on corona virus is not yet known.
Let's be prepared, Nigerians, for any eventuality.
I WANT TO IMPLORE NIGERIANS, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT LIVE DAY-BY-DAY ESPECIALLY WITH REGARDS TO THEIR MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD, TO PREPARE AND PROVIDE FOR THE RAINY DAYS...
Families should ensure the availability of raw food that can last them for weeks, if not months.
Forget packaging. Don't form self sufficient when you are financially handicapped. God is always gracious and where you do not have enough to stock your kitchen, God must have blessed some of your relations or acquaintance. Just humble yourself and plead for, say loan from such people that knows you. They will help you.
You must stock your home of all necessaries. Nigeria cannot boast of any triumph over covid-19 unless we have had the remaining three (3) seasons without cause for alarm.
Don't ask me about singles and non-family individuals. They can read between the lines.
God help and save Nigeria. |

Accordingly, the best way to ensure that local producers will strive to innovate and to produce to the highest possibly global standards is to ensure that they are compelled to compete on both price and quality with global brands. The real problem is that Nigeria ties the hands of domestic producers behind their backs and renders them inherently uncompetitive right off the bat by failing to provide adequate reliable electricity and horrendously-poor road and logistics infrastructure, not to mention a pool of poorly-educated and poorly-skilled manpower.

People need to be kept at home entertained watching television, but when the entertainment is not there by way of frequent power shortage, trust Nigerians, they might use the boredom as excuse to leave their houses and this may aid possible spread of the virus within the community.

The only thing I love about this Corona is that it does not discriminate
It takes the white - so their superiority complex will come to nothing
It affects the black - so we will stop deceiving ourselves of been naturally stronger
It affects Christians (even their oga at the top, the pope) so they won't think their religious difference is superior to others or make them think they have a special grace that will make others infected and not them
It affects Muslim, even the core Islam country Iran and Saudi Arabia so they won't think stoning Satan amount to stoning the problem in their life or world
Terrorist should learn from this if their Allah won't save them on earth he won't save them on any other planet either
It affect atheist - so they all know that 'lack of faith/religion' just like faith/religion itself, saves no one
It affects the rich/politicians/people we voted for - so they won't think they can deny the populace basic and medical amenities then run abroad for their own treatment, take note president buhari
It affect poor so he won't think his poverty is enough and will make him immune to other problem hence he don't need to work harder

There is no problem without solution. Covid 19 is not an exception.
What sciences cannot solve, we are not exactly hopeless. Yes, hope abounds in God. My God, the creator of the universe, MASTER of the UNIVERSE has all solutions.
My query rather is: Where are the religious leaders of this generation?
Where are the people posing around of being God's mouthpiece and God's messengers and God's servants?
They are all over the places, wearing names that differentiate them from ordinary people. I can come up with more that fifty names across the Christian and Muslim worlds. Yet, non of these people seems to be ready, eager or able to get solution for a virus that threatens the entire humanity. No, something's must be wrong with this generation.
I am a Practical Christian, and I know that if we have the right leader, they will not fail to call on the Almighty and obtain solution for all mankind at this material time. God deserve to take the glory even in the Covid19 issue. But the question is:
WHO SHALL ASCEND UNTO THE MOUNT OF THW LORD?
I REMMBER MOSES, JOSHUA, SAMUEL, ELIJAH, ELISHA, ISAIAH, JEREMIAH, EZEKIEL,
PETER THE APOSTLE, JOHN THE BELOVED, PAUL THE APOSTLE, AND MANY OTHERS IN THAT CALIBER...
Where are our contemporary prophets, apostles, popes, elders, second, and many other who always occupy the spaces with religious titles?
Can't they even call on God and obtain solution? |
