It affect igbo traders more my dear …

Is like no one is explaining this vat to you guys .. na una follow shout southern unity and today .. you guys are lost in the so called southern President..

They traders earn much above a million among other deals .. they’re not civil servants

Chai

I no get strength to enlighten una on this . .. public hearing is almost here ..

Listen to them
I am not a Tinubu supporter, but you are lying about this. How many Igbo traders are earning one million naira per month? Perhaps you require education on the distinction between sales and income. Many of you are illiterates. By the time we check your records, you are not making one million nairas...your sales could be four or ten million. Is your monthly income equal to this one million? Illiteracy is at its peak.

Over 95% Nigerians don't earn 1 millionaire monthly. Stop this rubbish. It is a win for you too if your income is low. Go and get educated and understand this bill properly. Illiteracy is a disease.
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Threatens BRICS Countries Over Abandoning The Dollar by epainos: 7:38am On Dec 02, 2024
SIRTee15:
As I said earlier, I never said Trump's plan would work but sitting down and doing nothing is not an option either. Is it?

Reliance on foreign countries for import is not a healthy option either and being an import dependent economy isn't good for any country.

So U saying American president shouldn't do anything about it sounds negative to me
Dependent on import leads to trade deficit, negative balance of trade, budget deficit, inflation, ballooning national debt, increasing govt borrowing and pressure on the national currency.

The only reason America is able to survive despite struggling with all the above is simply because the us dollars is the global currency.
America is able to sustain his over one trillion dollars trade deficit and over 30 trillion dollars national debt because the rest of the world use the dollar for global trade thus America export her inflation to the rest of the world.

Now if the rest of the world is now saying they don't want to use the American dollars for global trade anymore, that means the inflation caused by the trade deficit stays home and of course that will impact the domestic economy.

So U saying an American President should just sit by and do nothing sounds hypocritical to me.
Either he force the rest of the world to continue using the dollar as global currency which is not feasible on the long run OR he looks for ways to cut down on the trade deficit.

Trump is trying to do both, how this is a problem is what I don't understand.
Trump is the only us president who is actually trying to solve real America's economic problem without causing any wars.
People should at least give him credit.
The only thing left to do is to address the part I highlighted above. You mentioned me first, and I recommend that you go back to the original post on which you commented. The answer is there. It appears that you did not understand my post or did not read it thoroughly before making a comment.

Goodluck!
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Threatens BRICS Countries Over Abandoning The Dollar by epainos: 7:06am On Dec 02, 2024
SIRTee15:
Trump's option is better than threatening to invade other countries for ditching the us dollars.
Every country has every right to use her strength in its favour. China does it all the time, that's how they got foreign companies to transfer technology to local Chinese companies in exchange for domestic market access.
USA is the biggest consumer of finished goods and Trump iis right if he wants to weaponise that market against foreign competitors.

Whether he would succeed is another thing entirely, but nothing wrong in trying. As I said earlier, better than invading countries n causing wars.

The biggest issue with BRICS alliance is China itself. China is no doubt a powerful economy but built around export. China is only interested in buying raw materials from the rest of the world, in return they sell to others consumer products. China would only buy natural resources from other BRIC nations and nothing more.

This pattern would only work for BRICS if there are
other suckers to buy Chinese products otherwise that arrangement cannot work.
BRICS economy is too small to consume any significant Chinese products and many of them like India would not want to end up being Chinese export dump.

That's the weakness Trump wants to exploit.
You analyzed it smoothly, bro, as if the United States can survive by producing for itself...that is a nation that relies on others to produce for her. The United States has threatened Canada, Mexico, and China with sanctions if they do not stop drug trafficking. We saw how Trump quickly went to his Truth account to announce that the Mexican president had accepted his offer. Lol. And the woman immediately explained her position, which differs greatly from what Trump presented. So Trump wants the woman singlehandedly to go after drug traffickers, which the US and Mexican governments have been fighting for decades. Lol.

Again, he is threatening BRICS. lol. The good news is that China is being slammed twice. Lol. Of course, another one will follow, and this will be the third.

Let us see how the US survives after slamming everyone with a 100% tariff increase. That is a nation that relies on imports. We are watching.
PoliticsRe: Tax Reforms Will Ease Burden On Poor Nigerians – Reps Deputy Spokesman by epainos: 6:19am On Dec 02, 2024
I smile when foreigners say Nigerians are intelligent. Well, thank God for the number. Let me explain: 0.1% to 3% of the total population had previously found their way out, and these people have performed admirably. So, the few did a good job representing us. What about the remaining 97 percent? Blocked heads causing wahala in the nation. grin Later, more block heads began to leave, potentially increasing the percentage of Nigerians in diaspora to 10 - 15% of the population....or even higher. Then we started hearing about Nigerian scammers and betrayals. Lol.

If you doubt my claim that there are too many y blocked-heads in Nigeria, read the comments above. After Oloyede explained everything and even demonstrated that anyone earning the minimum wage up to N100,000 (I suppose but not more) will not be taxed. So they can not understand how this is a win for the vast majority of Nigerians in this category. And, interestingly, I believe that more than 90% of the block heads listed above fall into this category.

Being progressive while having blocked heads is frustrating. They are just too difficult to deal with, and they always think they know everything. Let us pretend we did not read their comments by not mentioning them or explaining it again. Allow them to demonstrate their stupidity so that, when the dividends arrive, they will learn not to speak again.

Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Threatens BRICS Countries Over Abandoning The Dollar by epainos: 6:15am On Dec 02, 2024
Everyone is curious about how this will end. To be honest, Americans should be pleased with this bold move; however, for BRICS, it should be a wake-up call to bull crap the US. We will see who wins here. The US wants to go against Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Hmmmm. This is very tricky. But I suppose the United States must try; otherwise, they will lose everything. And BRICS must also resist; otherwise, they will be crushed for the next 50 years. As soon as Trump gets on board, the US will either continue to reign or begin to fall. Whatever the case, I pray that God's people are protected and provided for. It is well.

“Nigerians are united in their call for a fiscal system that promotes justice, fairness, and equity. They are loud and clear that the fiscal system we seek to promote must not exacerbate the uneven development of the federating units by enhancing the status of a few states while unduly penalising others."
What is the fairness and equality in states with extremely large populations that have refused to contribute significant revenue but have been parasites since Nigeria's independence, to the point of constantly asking for more states and local governments so that they can collect more allocations, yet we see no progress? Is that fair to the states that generate enormous revenue for the country?

Caffeine can have negative effects on pregnancy, including:
Miscarriage: Some studies have found that even daily caffeine intake as low as 100–200 mg is associated with an increased risk of miscarriage.
Low birth weight: Caffeine consumption during pregnancy has been linked to low birth weight.
Fetal growth restriction: Caffeine may decrease fetal growth.
Cognitive development impairments: Caffeine consumption during pregnancy may increase the risk of cognitive development impairments in the offspring.
Overweight and obesity: Caffeine consumption during pregnancy may increase the risk of overweight and obesity in the offspring.
There is no known safe level of caffeine consumption during pregnancy. Some recommend avoiding all drinks with significant levels of caffeine, such as coffee, cola, and energy drinks. Others recommend limiting caffeine intake to 200 mg or less per day.
If you're used to drinking coffee or tea, you may experience withdrawal symptoms when you stop, such as headaches, irritability, tiredness, and feeling "on-edge". These symptoms are temporary and should go away after about a week.
A mug of coffee each day roughly doubles the risk of having stillbirths. During pregnancy, all drinks with significant levels of caffeine such as coffee, cola and energy drinks should be avoided.
I can provide evidences to support my claim, can you do it for all these claims of yours? If you are up to the task, let's do it.

Caffeine isn't as bad as how people demonise it. Lol. Yes, it has its cons, but it's pros outweighs the cons when used well. There was a time that I had dehydration challenges and I didn't even know about it until my doctor pointed me to it. And I made adjustment, and that was it.
HealthRe: Can Nescafe Have Effects On My Pregnancy? by epainos:
200mg per day is adequate with no or minor side effects. Caffeine has both advantages and disadvantages. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends a daily dose of 200 mg or less. Converting it to cups is tricky, but stick to one cup per day, with a maximum of two cups on some days.

You are good to go.

Did you read the last paragraph I wrote? You really wanted me to mention Fulani, right? So, you don't know the meaning of security lapses in Nigeria?

And, assuming none of the issues you raised exist, will your people engage in farming? Is it the Fulani that prevented your fathers from farming? Did Fulani prevent your tribe from replacing old cocoa, coconut, and palm trees? Oh! Fulanis were primarily responsible for the north's agricultural economy. When did the Fulani issue first arise? So, if you resolve the Fulani issue today, other regions will begin competing with the north to provide food for the country?

My point is that would the Christians in Nigeria keep quiet if such approval was given to a muslim Imam?
We've not heard outcry and condemnationsfrom the muslim populace. Can the same thing happened if it were the other way round?
Just ans these questions and stop this gibberish.
Many people have quoted me, but I will respond to you alone. But before that, you are the one spewing nonsense. You are simply blinded by religion. Furthermore, you pose a significant threat to Nigeria. You have no intention of changing. And by force you will accept advancement of Nigeria. If you do not accept it, high blood pressure will take you out. Nigeria is moving ahead. Lol.

My position is as follows: use technology to track everything and the judiciary to correct the wrong. You are still playing the religious game bro. If any Muslim wants it, he can have it as long as the technology closely monitors him and, if there are any lapses, the person must face the consequences.

Saying that you are a Christian or a Muslim, and so on, is a religious game that is taking us backward. This simply means that we will not have such an airstrip, which is not beneficial to our economy.

CAN needs to shut up because they are not supposed to get involved. And if there is any Muslim who can subject himself or herself to the same scrutiny, let them do so. Period.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Pledges To Tackle Nigeria’s Economy Problems Through Agriculture by epainos: 5:25am On Dec 01, 2024
Agriculture remains a strategic sector for diversifying our economy, disproportionately dependent on oil. Nigeria certainly needs the solid support of her agricultural scientists and experts as strategic game changers to end hunger in this country. Consequently, the government increased the number of agricultural universities in the country. Your technical skills and expertise will continue to be required until we reach the Promised Land of food security.

The President assured of the government’s continued support in improving Nigerian tertiary institutions’ teaching and learning infrastructure and pleaded, stating, “Similarly, please reciprocate the government’s effort by ensuring a peaceful and conducive environment for proper teaching and practical learning.”.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, MOUAU Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, highlighted the major challenges of the university, including paucity of funds, provision of essential amenities, state of access roads, and japa syndrome of trained staff, while the state governor, Alex Otti, represented by his Deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, said his administration is committed to enhancing supportive learning environments.

The Pro-Chancellor, Comrade Fidelis Edeh, assured the university community, stating, “Our Governing Council would rather strive to uphold accountability and demonstrable results in Council affairs.”
The only point I read in this article was that more money should be spent on Nigerian agricultural institutions. This is fine, but it is not the main challenge.

The main challenge is Nigeria's land law. People who want to farm are unable to do so because a small number of families hold onto available land. And the members of these families are no longer interested in farming. The government must devise a strategy to discourage owners from hoarding land that is not being used. I have my own ideas, but I will keep them to myself here.

Security is a new challenge and can be easily tackled if we are united.
PoliticsRe: Corruption, State Capture: Festering Cancers - Punch Editorial by epainos:
This is an interesting article. Punch has successfully hammered more on state capture. Lol. Every president is guilty of this issue. And Punch has failed to provide solutions because we have failed to identify solutions to the problems we see. We spend so much time analysing problems that we fail to provide solutions. This is exactly our way of life. This is what Udume wants for VAT and tax issue. He wants us to spend years deliberating on the problems rather than preferring and implementing solutions quickly. Nigeria is a complex nation.

The solution to state capture is simple: take away the president's authority to appoint INEC leaders. Period. This will help to eliminate state capture, and it will also reduce corruption. When voters have the power to reject corrupt leaders, politicians will be forced to work and do good. They will have no choice but to attend pre-election debates and clearly state their intentions and strategies for resolving the issues they have identified. And then, when they run for reelection, they must justify their first term in office to voters. But, knowing that they can easily rig elections with the president on their side, why would not they continue misbehaving and looting? Why will corruption not flourish? And why will state capture not be more popular? Nigeria's president leads the state capture board.
TravelRe: CAN Urges Transparency In Canaanland Airstrip Licence Probe by epainos:
Religion is one of the most powerful weapons used to control the human race. Nigeria, as a multi-religious state, is an important country in the world. Just look at how this issue has gained popularity because Muslims are upset that a Christian leader has been given this opportunity. They even ruined their own chance by citing terrorism. They raised an unnecessary panicking caution while attempting to block a Christian leader, which has an even greater impact on them. When an Islamic religious leader applies for the same, they will be scrutinised 1000 times more than Oyedepo is. This is how we drag out issues for so long. This is exactly what Udume wants in the tax debate. To continue dragging it within themselves for no reason. Lol. When madness reigns, disgusting people believe they are in control. Lol.

Nigeria will face significant challenges in making progress. Multi-religion, culture, and language are supposed to be our strengths, but they are actually our greatest weaknesses.

But I remain hopeful that a new breed of leadership will emerge and take advantage of all of the opportunities presented by multi-religion, culture, and language, allowing us to significantly reduce our weaknesses. I believe that things will change, beginning with greater transparency in INEC, the body in charge of Nigerian elections. First, we must remove the president's authority to choose its leader. I believe the US style is preferable, in which there are six leaders with equal power and each party has a maximum of two members. This is exactly what we need in Nigeria.

Education is the weapon against oppression. These politicians capitalize on the nation's high illiteracy rate. Thank God for social media, and also for Oloyede's leadership. The guy is simply too good at what he does.

Udume understands that if the guy and his team speak, he is done. Lol. And the senator in charge of this investigation is excellent. They would have killed it, as they always do with good things, or dragged it out for so long that they could make so much money every time they discussed it. Lol.

Nairalanders can now see that passing these bills is in our own best interests. Na style, we go get the regional government and resource control we have been asking for. The same Udume who claimed they wanted to paralyze the north with the bill demanding explanation also stated that they should prevent them from explaining anything to them that day because they were not officially included in the order of the day. So the senator leading the investigation quoted another law of the house and ruled him out. A very useless senator...Udume is useless. He is only concerned with himself and his own interests. He does not want these guys to educate us on all of the implications. The days of using threats to get what they wanted are over. Guys now know how to reach out to the common people in the north also.

I do not understand what kind of speed they are talking about. Is not this the type of speed required to pass bills? If you have a valid counter-argument, then stop them there. Not that you don't have anything but telling them to just wait. Wait for what? Is it not the issue on which they are deliberating? So, what would you like them to wait for? Honestly, having unintelligent people to work with is so frustrating.

And funny, they heard it right. Lagos State is the main impediment to passing this bill, and the FIR bosses were surprised that Sanwo Olu welcomed them. Lagos is also losing a significant portion of their VAT revenue. They also said they approached the FG about releasing 5% to the states. When Oloyede said he thought the governors and the senate will praise him for his work, but they are the evil against it...that he was shocked. I laughed. What Oloyede does not realize is that they are for themselves. Lol. Dem no send the people they represent na.

As bad as they say Gbajamiala is, you should go to Surulere and see his work. All members of the House of Representatives received funding for projects in their constituencies. Go ask Surulere residents about the work that man completed. Why can't they also do same? Try telling Surulere residents that Tinubu will not return in 2027 and see what happens. Lol.

Tinubu is not my hero...but at least we have eliminated oil subsidies and the naira. Lol. Yes, we are realizing the value of what we have. We can now work on these issues. But everyone wants them to keep doing evil behind the scenes....but they heard it for themselves...we can not keep doing it. Yes, Tinubu was evil for attacking Jonathan. I despise him for that. However, we are unable to continue because the resources are no longer available.

What caused Buhari to leave and flee? Guy man saw what lies ahead, na. He japa!

Anyway, God will help us in this country.

Tinubu is not a man I support, but allow him to pass these bills. These are the foundations required to restore Nigeria to the regional system that we have requested. Allow everyone to go hustle for their money. Allow the south-east and south-south to receive a significant portion of the oil VAT. If the Kaduna and PH refineries require crude oil, they are paying the appropriate VAT to the people who deserve it more with this bill. Shikena. The north should work more on his agriculture...and earn money.

Any state that cannot survive should be merged back into the state from which it originated. Shikena.

according to you

1. if you say that all tinubu is doing will benefit only his boys, how then is it an excellent move?

2. which results will soon start showing?

3. can you attest to any tangible thing that has been done that suggest that "the results will start showing soon"?

4. how will you improve under tinubu when you say you will "definitely going to have more MC Oluomo that will hijack all the benefits and extort the masses"?

5. what is my tribe that is not ruling that you say I am angry about?
Just read these questions. Lol. An elementary 6 kid can ask more intelligent questions. The one that cracked me most is question 5. Imagine someone discussing political issues ask such. How do I even make any comment that this one can comprehend it.

Oga, it is well with you.

Take care!
