There are two veggies that are likely to achieve this goal, and they are tomatoes and bell pepper. Tomato is a bit risky cos you may likely hit extremely low price at the market if you arent careful. You will only hit it with tomato when the price of a crate is above N30k.

I really think tomato is not that good, but bell pepper will definitely hit it anytime of the year. Though, tomato can give a good reward.

Greenhouse? Nope. At this point in my journey, nethouse is no more innovative. You might be hearing people talking about it, but I have left it behind. Around 13 years ago, I focused so much on greenhouses even when many didnt accept it, and i made good money from it. But in all honesty truth, I considered using shadenet.

Another reason I am putting this out here is to tell you to not buy used Greenhouse kits anymore. Do not waste your money. The era of that is gone.

Methodology & Goals
1. Drip + Mulch
2. Compost + Microbes for nematodes & pests
3. 100% inorganic fertilizer because it is only a rented land. If on your land, go for 100% organic. I will talk about it too.
4. Full microbial aphid & other deadly diseases/pests prevention.
5. Good variety to tackle fruits sun burn. This is extremely important. As usual, I wont post any cultivars here cos I am not ready to promote any seller or producer. There are good ones out there, but honestly, they are expensive. If you choose wrongly, you will not make good money. You may even lose most of the fruits.
6. If you pick a wrong variety, and you are on a land in an urban center fully fenced, you may consider using 30% shade net. It will help you. I think if you scale up a bit, and you get a shade net, then go for a more affordable cheap variety which is also hybrid. I will not use it, but it still has its place in farming as long as temp reaches 30C. And we even reach 35 C - 38C at times.

I can confidently tell you that if you want to make extremely high profit, go for bell pepper, but you must know what you are doing. Some years back, tomato will comfortably take you there...and can still, but not sure if it can with 3750 plants.


Here is the maths:
2.1kg per plant if the fruits are 120 - 250g average. Aim at saving 10 - 20 fruits per plant. Leave out 30% bad fruits (the very worst every good farmer should lose) so that your harvest will be approximately 5,500kg. At an average of N5k per kg (price is actually around N7k and will move to N15k or more in December), you will get N27.5M. Remove other expenses, and you will arrive at N25M.


Here is my personal maths....for me:
3kg per plant. (I was actually lost initially, but a colleague who works with the ministry of agric showed me a variety to use.
90% efficiency
N7k per kg price. I plan to sell at 5 different markets so I can minimise familiarity with sellers and buyers.
10% to my agents who sell them
Harvest = 10 tons, and at N7k/kg and 10% for agent, revenue approx N63M.

You do not have to believe what I have written here. Make your research, if it is true, set up very well...and go for it.

Will release more tips for you. Basically, your management is the key to your success. And the first is the variety you decide to use.

This thing will not change for the next 3 years. If you have to use 12 months to learn this, do it. Learn it very well. Make sure you understand what it takes. Go there as the main man on farm. If you leave it for workers or you leave it for any manager, you will regret it. Take it as your survival mode.

So, you dont become bored and tempted to leave your farm, go with your laptop and phones. If there is no network there, go for skylink. Otherwise, MTN or Airtel have both got unlimited data for 1 month. Its worth it. Prepare for 5 months. You are gonna stay there for 5 months, and return home with your japa cash. Is it not worth it?

It is a tricky one. Why? It is extremely inexpensive to run a business in West Africa; however, you can get burned quickly because there are too many red tapes, with humans at the top of the hindrances pyramid.

The idea is to start small and raise N50 million or more. If I were a newbie, I would start small; however, this does not mean that I will not set up big. What do I mean by this? For example, you do not begin small by installing a small borehole capacity. You install the appropriate capacity for your farm. Do not go install a capacity for one plot because you are only doing one of the 15 plots you have. Nope. You should install the right capacity for 15 plots, but you may buy other irrigation kits for 1 plot at first, and increase the capacity gradually.

Size of Drip Irrigation
The smallest and most common size available is 1 drip roll of 2,000M, 0.2mm thickness, 30cm emitters spacing. I dont like this crap. So, I am going with 1,5000M, 0.3mm thickness, 40cm.emitters, which is my favorite.

I wanted to overlook this, but I felt it wouldn't be right to watch people say what they don't know and present it as fact. You see, YouTube and blogging, if you find a good niche and know how to do it, are very good ways to make money while sleeping.

Most people rush into YouTube without proper knowledge, and they get stuck, especially when they get hit with reused content and copyright issues.

One thing I find funny about people here is that most are not ready to learn. 4. Business partnership - This has been the very way forward from ages, but be careful in Naija. Betrayals are everywhere. While this is ok, this is the very last thing to think about after skills have been acquired. Its not even the first thing to say. I dont even expect it to come up at all.

5. Dividend-paying stocks - Na sapa go kee you. You never breakthrough, you are waiting for dividends pay out. He's not even talking about buying and flipping after some time. He is waiting for dividends. Sapa go kee you. This is the worst. Disgusting recommendation. E dy do me like hammer this OP's head with Oraimo cord.

6. Affiliate Marketing - It is dead. We buried it like 3 to 5 years with his twin - dropshipping. If you try to start this two now, you are a dead meat. Period.

Here are what you should do:
1. For street smart guys, learn driving, and master how to make money driving keke or korope. I domt do this, but I know it make money. You should do inner streets routes if you are stsrting so that road hunters dont milk you dry.

2. For computer lover, pick up AI and then use it to build a business. Its a long story. However, anyone can learn it.

3. For paper assets, instead of waiting for dividends, learn trading. Do not commit your money into it into you habe consistently made money. Just keep learning charts. It may take you more than 5 years to master it. You must not put one dollar there until you are sure. Lots of backtesting and forward testing. Lots of sleepless nights. It means that you cannot rely on this as your first source of income. You must habe something before doing this.

4. Go learn gardening. Believe me...this is extremely lucrative. Do not go inside the bush to pay N100M ransom. So it in the urban area. Though, it is very expensive to start. But you can still do it at a low cost.

If you are blessed with a free half plot of land in your compound, you can do only 500 plants of any veggie. For instance, bell pepper. That can fetch you N5 million if you know how to manage it within 5 months.

Now if you go big...and you set up very well....if you understand it very well and you spend money...stand even use smart tech to aid it....you can buy 20 plots of land...fence it...build a bungalow there. This is money. Im seeing N400M to over N800M every year here. You can scale down to 6 plots, 3 plots, 2 plots, 1 plot. Use ratio to scale it down...but trust me, you are spending on 1 pilot also. If you think its cutlass ans hoe business and yoy wont spend....forget it. Its not just bell pepper, there are others: tomato, cucumber cabbage, sweet corn, etc. OK. You've can imagine....500 seeds cost over N35K. Even i know some seeds 1,000 in number cost over N130K. So, imagine you want to buy 12,000 seeds and cultivate around 6 to 7 plots...that well over N1.5M ...just for seeds. But you will make money. Dont ever think of using N50k to make N500k. Nope. You will spend...but you will make money.

This young man has realised exactly the most important skill in todays innovative world. To be able to make a profitable business from AI. Everyone can learn AI, but only a very small percentage (mayne less than 0.1%) will make good money from it. Many people will surely run after salary. Lol. So, if you are extremely good with business, go learn AI so that you become unstoppable.

Since the demise of General Tunde Idiagbon, we have not seen who will remove corruption. If you like, bring the best strategy to improve the worst economy in this world, it will not work where corruption thrives. It will not work in Nigeria. We must kill corruption first.

We had subsidy and there were people who found a way to enrich themselves with it. We removed, still they device another way to enrich themselves. No matter what you do, these people will always find a way to turn it all arpund for their own benefits alone.

Roads that have been long forgotten are remembered. Lagos, PH, and

The reason I don't crucify Wike deeply is his massive rehabilitation of roads in Rivers. Lagos State used its wallet to renovate many federal roads too,.and then took FG to court to recover most of the amount spent. But most of otjer states governors are rubbish.

This is why I just dont like hearing the noises of South East. They kept saying they are marginalised. What is wrong in going to borrow and get these roads fixed. Then, mount pressure on the FG.
