Unless we don't have scouts anymore and we only have to look at the top teams across Europe to get players. Athletico will take that money and buy someone for $25-30m that will perform wonders and make them very competitive. Then you'd be wondering why we didn't see that player. Because Mane was not quoted as $75m he wasn't good enough. Kante was too cheap for us.

Auba for all his pace is a poor finisher and in no way can you compare the offensive approach of Tuchel which clearly favors Auba and any striker you can think of to the defensive approach of Diego Simeone...Let Griezzy and Auba swap positions and let's see if we will have any course to even start a comparison...

I would have supported the fee if it was Griezmann. someone who's general contribution to attack will be more direct and will probably score goals too. And no time for fanciful flicks and off pitch shenanigans with hair styles and emojis. But Pogba transfer will now make all our expensive transfers suspect.

Why put more pressure on players that are not out of this world like the Messis and Ronaldos when there is no guarantee they can deliver or take us to the top back? Buy Griezmann for $100m and once he fails to score in 3-4 straight matches the press and the opposition fans will be all over him. Not because he is not it but the price tag. Unless there are no ifs and he actually gets to deliver consistently then he gets a free pass but who can guarantee that from him? We already have stars in our attack, oil the midfield, the defence and wingbacks and we will be flying again with the right tactics and mentality. We can spend on attack but not excessively or desperately. Most of those matches we drew shoulda been straight win and I'm positive that we won't draw those kind on another day.

Have we asked ourselves why it didn't work for Mkhi and Martial this season? Or are they suddenly not good enough any more? I hope Griezmann does not suffer same fate.

if Rashford can't act as a target man, then if we buy Griezmann, we might still have to buy another striker to play as a target man.

That's the point. Instead of building around the stars in the team, playing to their strength etc we want to do another turnaround. It will be a miracle if we are not struggling to enter top four again.

Griezmann will not play as a striker but behind the striker. He would be very much involved more in the play and not the final ball. Unless we have a striker intelligent enough to hold up play and watch the runs of Griezmann

Going by what I have personally seen so far, things don't look very promising. If the performances do not improve significantly, this team will get badly, badly exposed!

Exactly my point. We may get the title but our average performance is just so fvking annoying and below average. When we play against teams that prefer to defend we feel like we're one god but against teams that run at us there will be so many complaints. Many times we watch a match and for 90 minutes we cannot figure out the game plan or tactics Jose is using unless its the ultra defensive which is so obvious. Jose as a coach still needs to improve a lot. Yes he has won a lot of trophies but its way more competitive now. If he seriously hope to win the league he has to do better. There are four other teams seriously gunning for the same trophy. It may work in a cup competition but over 38 league matches never.

That said he still has time to improve his style but it will be amusing if any United fan is satisfied with our performance this season as a team with or without the trophy.

His transfer targets should tell if he means business next season too.
