achieverme: For your information sir, Buhari may be an old man capable of giving birth to all Nigerians, but he is also the number one servant in this country and he is answerable to every child and adult on the street of Nigeria. Insulting a public servant is not wrong if the public servant is not meeting up to expectation. All these your sentiments don't make any sense. If Buhari doesn't want to be insulted, he shouldn't have contested for presidency.
You have no right to insult his parent. No right at all. It is wrong and unbecoming. Because you love Buhari doesn't mean everybody too should love him. We are individuals and have our rights to our individual views about public office holders. It is wrong to try to force your view and opinion on others. Yep. That's right. |

My stomach is boiling cos this same man will be standing in for elections and still be winning. Exactly. Governance in Nigeria is really just a huge joke honestly. Very useless people keep being appointed into power they end up misusing. |

ItsMeAboki: No denial but sarcasm - which you quite clearly missed; in this case the improbability of a Fulani man disappearing into the thin air right before their eyes; as as how some of these stories are exaggerated, distorted or even complete fallacies made up by hateful cyber bloggers. It is currently fashionable to blame every sectarian/communal or even random killing to the Fulani, without necessary thorough investigation; the recent Agatu market killings in Benue (found to be due to local hoodlums) and the Maikori imaginary phantom killings in southern Kaduna, are a few examples of such lies against the Fulani that comes to mind. Now if you want to believe this story of the magical Harry Houdini disappearing act by a cornered Fulani man in broad daylight before a Benue crowd, then you can pls go ahead. Lies against the fulani indeed. Ask those whose lives have been cut short and properties destroyed due to these herdsmen. Very soon you will say the killings in southern kaduna didn't happen either. In any case, it's a matter of time, they will surely meet their waterloo eventually, intolerant criminals. |

linearity: I understand your point, but you should know that we are follow-follow, we want to maintain accord with the world even when it is against our self interest.
I felt you will be happy that the US have helped us in righting this and align it with our self interest, despite the adverse action of our political leaders. Yeah, that's the hallmark of a nation which doesn't know what it is doing. Well, but if the US didn't? We would have been thoroughly shafted. |

linearity: The truth is, the Paris Climate Change agreement is already dead, so it is meaningless if PMB sign it or not.
US and China are the major signatory and two major polluters. The US under Trump have started chipping away at that agreement with Executive Orders reversing Obama's previous Executive Order to EPA to enact measures to meet the goals set in the agreement. Funding for even climate change research/study are being pulled and given to defense and military in the US as we speak.
With the US undermining the agreement, China is going to pullout, as it will be economic suicidal to hold themselves to the high standards set in the agreement, when their co-major polluter and competition has pulled out. My point is we have absolutely no business there at all (regardless of whether other countries are undermining it or not). |

In order to meet the agreed climate target of the Paris Agreement, it is inevitable that the upcoming review will aim at tougher policies. As a result, the impact on the oil and gas sector will intensify. The paper analyses the impact of international climate action agreed at the COP21 meeting in Paris in December 2015 on the oil and gas sector, concluding that: Given the gap between the current round of Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) and the target of limiting global warming to below 2°C, additional and more stringent measures are likely to be imposed on fossil fuels in future. As a result, the impact of regulation on the oil and gas sector is set to intensify. See more at: https://www.chathamhouse.org/publication/paris-mismatches-impact-cop21-climate-change-negotiations-oil-and-gas-industries#sthash.L7MAZ1Cm.dpuf--------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope Mr Buhari read all the above carefully considering the oil sector is practically where we derive our income from in this country. |

What a joke. Does he understand the implication of the Climate Change agreement?
He thinks it's just to sign a piece of paper, chuckles..
In a country where gas flaring still takes place, generator fumes are mixed with the air people breathe, those rickety trucks with their fumes still pollute the environment. Nigeria is so so far from where it should be. |

He also said that more than 500 children of his age and others who were senior to him, were initiated as child soldiers in the Chukungudu forest by the insurgents. Boko haram needs to be tackled from the roots. How were these children recruited? Probably from large families who had no means to cater for them. Education needs to be enforced in the North, I think that is the first step. BH could not have just kidnapped 500 children like that. |
