REASONS - They have more sensors attached to there engines than normal japanese cars, this are also backed up by the ECM ( brain box) which signals are sent to from the sensors and triggers alot of electrical issues including shutdown on motions or at will. Untill u have a good diagnosis to check and scan what the fault is and probably replace the sensors bad and reprogram the brain box to work with the new components replaced.
Hence it saves the engine from severe damages that's why the engine last more.

JAPANESE CARS - HONDA AND TOYOTAS, - Their engine are also backed with few sensors. But not as much as the Germans. And most of the major electricals are backed up by relays and fuses. And the technical ones are attached to the ECM brain box. That's why on a Toyota u can see a lot of errors on the dashboard screen and it would still run for months without not having much effects, but it's killing the engine gradually. Reasons why people tend to replace Toyota engines often. Cos they are not as strong as Honda engines.

I don't know why people don't understand simple dynamics of the Nigerian economy and this subsidy removal,.

With this dollar rate increasing we expected petrol to go as high as 800 per liters. As dollar increases.

Nigeria is not a producing state. Don't lets take it as of the president is the one increasing the fuel prices. It's simply the laws of demand and supply playing out.


What I just don't like was the way he removed it instantly with at least 2 months planning. to put solutions on ground to cushion the effects of this on the poor masses.

I doubt of.the govt would support this. Cos 80% of our forex comes from crude oil

With this fuel issues around the globe, Nigeria should start having a 15yrs plan on activating renewable energy against fossil fuels.

The world is trying to end gasoline, in as much crude oil would still be active for the next 100 yrs cos of chemicals we get from it..

They are the real patriots, and not the pretenders.
The problem is that a lot of Nigerians don't even know that these innoson vehicles are built STRONG for Nigerian roads.
I had an "encounter" with some of them along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway in 2021 during a serious traffic jam along that road leading to bridge head market and Niger bridge Onitsha.
Actually it was five of them -brand new Innoson "hummer Jeeps".
They were being driven in tandem, obviously to be delivered to some buyer(s).
Mehn, these vehicles dwarfed all other vehicles in terms of quick reaction, smoothness of maneuver and ruggedness.
That was my first time of seeing these vehicles up close and personal, and I was SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED.
These vehicles are like the "Cutix cables" of Nigeria. They are GOOD and beat others as far as Nigerian roads are concerned.
Why on earth would a Nigerian government department or agency buy foreign vehicles when we have these?

I'm a car person, innoson is only assembled here. U need the see there ageing. The body parts is soo poor, they need to work on the body panels. It's rust in less than two years and saggs. Don't know about the suspension or the legs. They only have good engine though, but they need to improve with time and work on the market sales and values. They seems too expensive.

I would take geely, kia or best is Hyundai among there class than buy innoson

I don't see this team progressing, they aren't playing good and smart football, they just run around the field, no play maker and good stickers. But something can still happen with prayers and hardwork

Op so sorry for the losses. That particular brand of car seems to be one of Toyotas problematic cars in terms of engine performance and ageing.

That brand engine is always having issues with tapet valves, oil shortage and the fuel line.

To resolve the fuel line, someone gave a very good advice earlier. Always let your car run in less quarter fuel. Don't let your fuel be anything less than quarter tanks. Before you refuel. Driving a car with fuel lights on. Is a bad practice except for emergency.

The fuel pump could overheat and blow out the fuse once it's low.

Op kindly remove the tank clean the tank
Get a direct good fuel pump v6 or v 8 pump.
And buy a direct Belgium engine, this would solve your problems.

Don't forget to scan the vehicle afterwards. Get a reliable Toyota experts. Not all this street ochins
