It is quite clear now, that boko haram is based in Cameroon. It is high time we taught that country a very bitter and unforgettable lesson. angry
some people just have water in their brain, your country handed over bakasi to cameroon and now you think they can teach them a lesson

Why people for the life of me cannot get this is just beyond me.

Boko Haram is a tool used by disgruntled fanatical Northern elite to undermine GEJ , a simple as ABC.
so how come they attacked when Yaradua was in Government

This still brings us back to square one, people stranded, government uses money for infractructure development to pay for fares due to bad policies. well done Osun
PoliticsRe: Email Conversation With Sanusi On Fuel Subsidy Removal by EPOMA(m): 11:08am On Jan 07, 2012
2AMLasgidi:
SLS is right on the sales of PMS across the border. You need to go to Owode-Idi Iroko Road going to Benin Republic I counted over a 100 filling stations of no economic value to Nigeria! The filling stations were built to smuggle PMS across the border.

Now the question is? What is the essesnce of having loads of Custom, Immigration, Police & Army on that axis when a whole PMS tanker will pass without notice? With free N80 on a litre (80 x 33,000 ==N2.6million) You can always bribe your way in Nigeria without sweat!. Is Subsidy removal the only solution? NO!!! angry angry angry

Before Subsidy removal happens if it 'll happen at all, our Govt must built Trust/earn our confidence. They need to show us what a better life can be, How brighter things can be for Nigerians. Give us power, power will drive industrialisation, more jobs, more food (cheap sef) better living condition, good road network and improved transport system (improve on Lagos BRT model across Nigeria). And dont forget to hit the BOKO-HARAM guys (and their Sponsors especially in Govt quarters) very hard/root them out!!!

After this all the "Dogo Turenchi" or our respected Sanusi will not do anything. He wrote about Phasing, yeah nice idea but Tell EgBERE to earn our Trust.

GoodKNOCK to all those who VOTED Goodluck,  We no tell YOU?  tongue tongue
I seems to agree with you. I thought when this government comes in , they will tackle corruption which could have been a better way for Nigeria to grow. we keep on talking about corruption in the oil industry and no one has the balls to tackle it, which shows a sign of a weak government.
Bogus figures had been made up in past years collecting money from the government in the name of subsidy and now the government and sanusi thinks the best way to stop this is by stopping the subsidy. I think they should find all the culprit, cut government expenditure and stop telling us crap
PoliticsRe: What Exactly Will Western Countries/imf Gain From Fuel Subsidy Removal? by EPOMA(m): 9:42am On Jan 07, 2012
Uyi Iredia:
Nonsense ! It won't be lost because importation is bound to continue until the refineries are working. In fact there is much to gain since it's possible that some of these private investors would be British.
Thanks my bro, Beaf thinks that he is talking to kids here, he is so dumb. the government stopping to pay subsidy and getting the people to pay for it does not mean that we are still not importing from the UK.
His Oga would have face the main problem by going to the root of the problem and finding out all the bogus figures made up to collect money from the government in the name of subsidy.
PoliticsRe: GEJ's State Of Emergency & Fuel Subsidy Removal Affects Cameroun Prices by EPOMA(m): 11:44pm On Jan 05, 2012
Beaf:
One can only imagine what would happen to Benin Republic where practically all filling stations have closed down, because of smuggling. You can basically only buy smuggled fuel there. It must be the same in Burkinafasso and Togo (to a lesser extent)l.
You sound like you are being tickled by some dude, if Nigeria was truly a giant of Africa, they could have been working to help those countries that you just mentioned. And you think this post will help you and your oga justify the illegal fuel subsidy removal if there was any

PoliticsRe: How Boko Haram Made Money From Fuel Subsidy by EPOMA(m): 7:51pm On Jan 04, 2012
Bliss4Lyfe:
THIS IS ON POINT. NIGERIANS ARE SO DUMB. IF POORER AFRICAN NATIONS CAN PAY MORE MONEY FOR PETROL , THEN WHY NOT NIGERIA IN EXCHANGE FOR BETTER INFRASTRUCTURE.

OIL IS STILL CHEAPER IN NIGERIA WITHOUT SUBSIDY THAN UK. JUST HOLD THIS GOV ACCOUNTABLE TO INVEST EVERY PENNY IN NIGERIA FOR NIGERIANS OUTSIDE ANNUAL BUDGET EXPENSES.

ACCUMULATIVELY,  THE BENEFITS WILL BE VISIBLE TO ALL AND WEN ECONOMY DEVELOP WE CAN HAVE SUBSIDY BACK.
You are the one that is Dumb because you have not put it into consideration that the poorer african countries you are talking about are not in OPEC. you should ask youself  why is petrol cheaper in Saudi, Dubai, Lybia and they are still able to develop far better that Nigeria, so don't compare Nigeria with Niger and Chad Dumb.
About 70% of the Cost of fuel in Uk is mostly taxes and they dont have abundance of fuel to start exporting as we do

Some MuMu and beaf come to this forum to post senseless post, go and ask china , singapore and dubia  what it takes for americans to go leaving in their country, china opens a power station  every month. since Goodluck came in, it is all in the air" we will do this , we will do that , MoU everywhere. what is on ground. Nothing. It is only in a rotten country like Nigeria that you can increase the price of fuel by over 100%., even common car get shock absorbers but your leaders did not think of the impact of the price increase on people and businesses. To rule Nigeria is not by force.I no go say much

Pain:
What you fools who think only you are in possession of brains to UNDERSTAND SUBSIDY don't get is that Nigerians are not totally in disagreement of the removal but are against the sharp cut-over without any cushion or palliatives to accommodate the sudden shock. What the VOODOO ECONOMISTS should have advised Jonathan is a GRADUAL/PHASED implementation! This is after providing a bit of evidence as regards social/economic infrastructure like "Work-in-Progress" Refineries etc etc.

Don't come here and act as if it is only you that was born with brains bigger than 95% of Nigerians!!

an article worth reading, : www.thinkafricapress.com/nigeria/fuel-subsidy-gone-good
Nothing that we have not heard before in that article, the first question is ,was there any subsidy in the first place. they have been told to name who all this monies have been paid to but they refused. How much petrol do we use. the whole thing is a fraud

Back to what I always say that dividing Nigeria will not bring an end to anything, people sorting their heads out is a better solutions. Everything is wrong in Nigeria from the way lands are owned to further. The early we go back to basic and do the right thing for the country to move forward the better.

I am not a Buhari fan at all. how practicable are his suggestions-how can you reduce the salaries amidst world inflation? will this not encourage stealing? where in the world has salaries been reduced? if the court had favored him would he have said all there? i can smell evil in this man cos if he truly loves this country he will make sure he contributes to its development without being the president. i think the guy has a hidden agenda since he is hell bent on becoming the president.
So a governor getting 0ver 200 million naira a month as security vote without any accountability is in accordance to inflation. Even the world bank has complained about the way nigeria spends money. I dont feel sorry for nigerians as we are so ignorant

With this budget Akwa Ibom , River State, Bayelsa and Delta have moved from3rd world states to 1st world states
Akpabio has done well in what area , why do we fall so easily to all this. The only way Akpabio can still big money is to divert all the money to capital project and then inflate the price of project by 500%. The people of Akwa Ibom still live in pure poverty and I have discussed this before in one of the topic. Salary still not paid since October becos of not agreeing to minimum wage

1.Government House built at a cost of N7.4 billion Naira had in the following year budget attracted additional N10 billion Naira to provide what they call The Banquet Hall of the Government House.

2.
20 kilometer road in akwa ibom gulp N56 Billion Naira on behalf of the Federal government? construction of the 238 kilometer Benin-Shagamu dualised Federal road? I remember Prof. Dora Akunyinli, the former Minister of Information saying that the contract had been awarded for N47.2 Billion Naira. We were told that an underground drainage system which was first of its kind in African Continent(Courtesy of President Goodluck Jonathan) was a part of the 20kilometre Federal road.

3.
Tropicana Garden and the Galleria which was going to attract tourism and render Akwa Ibom, Africa ’s tourist destination. The project which was originally put at N33 Billion Naira has since been raised to N70 Billion Naira .

Honestly this man is really trying, everyboy love him in his state. I also heard he gives money to needy on daily basis and also built the largest drainage system in west Africa which is capable of accomodating a truck without hindrance.
He is trying and what is he doing, I just feel sad sometimes that only in Nigeria that people get awards for doing the least normal thing. I do not like when people keep on paying the press for their glory, Gov Attah did the same.Until our minds grow up, we will still be messed up in Nigeria.
What has drainage got to do with this, which other west african country has a budget as akwa Ibom state and with so little people. Recieving about $8 billion in 4.5 year with only $1 billion spent on salary at these time in the state is what you guys call achievement.
we sing glory of stupid and corrupt leaders and persons in Nigeria. We should take a walk to the middle east and see what  and how they are transforming their towns and environment with the same cash that our leaders are throwing in the drain in the name of emblezzling and then getting glory.

This is a man who most of the time watse a lot of money hiring private jets sometimes for weeks at $2500 an hour from state money.am not saying much
