Deep down, Obi is thinking "I should have stayed in LP." Dude is only there to add to the number. The owner of the party and ticket is well sighted in this sitting arrangement. You can feel his aura compared to "the man in black"

Let me elaborate a little: See where David Mark (ADC Chairman) and Aregbesola (National Secretary) are seated - At the right side of Atiku. Atiku sat at the center as the undisputed leader of the caucus. Amaechi is seated beside Aregbe - at the far end of Atiku's right side. Obi is seated at the left side of Atiku, David Mark, Aregbe, and Amaechi. See how Obi is positioned between an empty seat and a woman in the lower hierarchy of the party leadership structure.

Obi is dreaming if he thinks he can clinch the ticket.

Jokes aside, I've observed that official ADC photos always portray Obi as a subordinate. Atiku media handles does this too. This is deliberate. You either see Obi looking lost or kowtowing or bowing to Atiku. Soft power play.

Wike and Fubara didn't even do reach this level before Tinubu stepped in to start reconciling them - that was even years before the state of emergency declaration.

1. You people are playing this nollywood script to divert attention from your shambles and disaster at the FCT election. But the truth remains that you people are too weak and nowhere close to being ready for the 2027 elections.

2. The failure in leadership in ADC is now evident. If not, why are members chasing each other with guns when your coalition was formed barely one year ago. Are they saying they weren't aware of this issue? Why didn't they act fast to resolve it? Una wey be mushroom party still dey form faction. Funny! If that party is serious, their national leadership won't be in Oyegun's house for any meeting without the attendance of the other faction. They clearly played favoritism, when they should be uniting everyone and repairing every cracks within the party.

3. Obi still doing his divisive politics like he did in LP. At one time, he sided with Abure against Lamidi Apapa. Then he went against the same Abure. This time around, he is siding with Oyegun in Edo ADC against Senator Owie. When the outcome of his actions start manifesting in ADC, we will be there, inshallah.

It should be studied how/why they focus so much energy on the irrelevant matters and ignore the ones that really matter.

Make them no go solve their in-house fracas; they should be running cheap propaganda that even babies won't fall for. Nothing will cover their shameful and disgraceful outing at the FCT council election. Nigeria can now see them for the fingerlings they are.

Wasn't this how it went down in LP?

They had internal crisis in LP until it transmuted into fractional parties, but throughout the crisis, Obi was always pointing fingers at Tinubu, APC, and the FG. He and his obidents said Tinubu was the one causing friction to destabilize the LP. Instead of sitting down with aggrieved members and negotiating and reconciling with them, Obi chose the easy road by pointing fingers to people who had no business with his party. He even went as far as saying "Tinubu should instruct the INEC chairman to come into LP and resolve their crisis"... Imagine that stinking sentence coming from a presidential candidate.

The same thing is happening now. You have internal crisis that is enveloping ADC in Edo, such that gunmen attacked you and a former governor of the state. Instead initiating a high level meeting with top ADC members and the factional members to negotiate and reconcile, you are pointing the blame at Tinubu, APC, FG, and the Edo State governor.

In contrast, the entire nation saw how Tinubu, in real time, resolved the crisis between Fubara and Wike TWO TIMES. It takes a hardworking, extremely skillful, highly respected man with grit to pull off something like that. From meeting with them, to negotiation, to emergency rule, to more negotiations, to more meetings. If na Obi be president, I can't even imagine how he would have handled the crisis. Do you know what it takes to rein in someone like Wike? Do you?

BTW, Edo ADC crisis aside, the crisis in LP that Obi said Tinubu was causing is the same crisis he and his obidents have imported into ADC. They came barely two months and they started destroying the party. I said this in January: 👇

What do you expect when a group of disgruntled fellows band together for one singular purpose - which is winning the ticket at all cost.

I have said it many times that you can't compare this ADC coalition with the APC coalition of 2015. In the history of Nigeria, that APC was the best, most united, and most brutal opposition ever.

Then, you have a Tinubu shelving his own ambition to allow a Buhari run first. He didn't even opt for VP; he pushed his boys forwards instead. That was the epitome of delayed gratification in real time.

Compared to this coalition, you might agree or not but those who are smart can see what's really happening with ADC. You have Atiku who wants the ticket and wants to use Obi's hype and the obidents number to buff up his own figures. 6+6 =12.

Obi too wants the ticket but wants to ride Atiku's influence in the North to Aso Villa. Obi knows he has no chance in the North. Zero chance. By winning the ticket and having Atiku's support, he's hoping 6+6=12 too.

The truth of the matter is they hate themselves in that ADC and are only united to use each other.

With regards to the FCT election, Obi intentionally took the spotlight so that if Dr. Mo wins, he would use it as negotiation for the ADC ticket and have his obidents tell the world the ADC is only relevant because of him. During the council campaign, he begged people to "VOTE FOR ADC" because "IT WILL HELP ME" not "IT WILL HELP THE ADC" 😂. He didn't even pretend like they are all united in that party.

Atiku too laid back from the election so Obi will fail. And it worked. Obi and his obidents failed woefully and it has plummeted their clout and popularity in the ADC; giving Atiku more edge to clinch the ticket.

Now, the real matter. If Obi wins the ticket, Atiku and his people will back out, work against him and might even work for Tinubu.

If Atiku wins the ticket, Obi and his Obidents will back out.

Just watch.

BTW, Obi started the council election on the wrong foot by imposing a wrong and unpopular candidate. Na winger wey sabi play 7 dem pick. 😂. He made the same mistake with LP during the Edo guber election when he ignored regional rotation and imposed an unpopular Olumide Apata.

They never learn.

Aside, making the grave mistake of dumping PDP for LP in 2023, his second grave mistake will be dumping LP for ADC.

In 2023, he should have deputized Atiku; they would have won. Today, he should be in LP if he started grassroots mobilization and restructuring the party immediate after the 2023 election. He shouldn't have lost elected members to the APC if he had good reconciliation and negotiation skills.

This will be long. Please don't mind.

This FCT council election revealed NINE things:

1. The opposition, esp Obi's camp, didn't learn anything in the 2023 election. They didn't evolve. They followed and used the same 2023 pattern. They were predictable. Most notable is focusing on urban centers and neglecting the rural centers - you would think the election was only happening in AMAC. The election result showed this. Another is not having adequate number of agents to cover polling units - bro, this is 2026 fgs; this issue of agents shouldn't have happened in 2023, talk more of today. Another is still relying heavily on social media hype - it's like they are addicted to it.

2. The opposition don't know how to prepare for an election, still. Like I said above, they didn't learn anything in 2023. Atiku has ran for the presidency like three times; Amaechi was a governor and minister in the last administration; Obi was a two-term governor, he worked with GEJ, ran major bye-election campaigns in Edo and Anambra; Aregbesola is veteran in this arena, yet they all prepared for this FCT council election like amateurs. What a shame!

3. The opposition is too lazy for their ambition. Their quality of invested effort and ambition are not aligning. This is a council election fgs in a small city of Abuja. You all have residences in the FCT; you spend a lot time living there; that's your base. How hard can it be organizing properly and going all in to show your force? Kai! How tf is planning, logistics, campaign, public awareness too hard for you in your base - your backyard?

4. Obi is spent force. Forget the media hype. Obi won over 62% of votes in Abuja in 2023. He won over 90% in Anambra. All the elections he backed in these places and others since after the 2023 election has been a shocking disaster. Since 2023, this council election is the one he put the most effort and he even begged people to vote for his candidate because "it will help me" - literally in his own words. There's no excuse for this defeat. And his followers are beginning to see this reality, judging by the meltdown they are experiencing on many X Spaces today.

5. Obi currently doesn't have any appeal except among his Igbo brothers.

6. Obi performance outside of the SE in 2023 was driven majorly by religious rhetoric and the fear of the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket. That effect is gone. It's only Obidents that have refused to see this.

7. Obi and his supporters should leave the easy way to 2027, which is social media noise and Obi's childish theatrics and focus on the heavy, tedious, and boring path which is grassroots mobilization.

This is what Obi should have implemented with LP the past 3 years - restructure state and ward chapters. Get personally involved and enter the rural zones to kickstart grassroots mobilization. Reenergize urban voters. What did he do instead? He wasted time on Twitter and was delivering lectures all over the world. Eventually, he abandoned LP, with the little structure and grassroots support they have to start afresh in a new party with ONLY one year left to election and he wants to contest the presidential election. It's really funny. It's even more funny he believes his entire 2023 voters base are still with him and are following him no matter the party he joins. Person wey use 20 years prepare for presidential election na mumu abi? Obi and obidents behave and think as if the presidential election is SUG election, because if they treat it like a council election at least, they would have performed better today. They first claimed they don't need any structure in 2023 until they joined the structure of criminality in 2026. Maybe by 2030, they will accept that grassroots mobilization is the way.

8. Ireti kingibe is gone.

9. Wike deserves his flowers, even though I hate his excesses. You are dreaming if you think Tinubu will dump him - he's too much of an asset. In the South, he's the second most powerful politician besides Tinubu. Arguably the second most powerful in Nigeria too.
