See my people here. I guess most of you are Libras. Some peeps described my life up there. Most times I feel superhuman, nothing is wrong with y'all. And don't create a group/forum as some are suggesting, except it's an alpha group...which wouldn't hold water either way.
It's a defence mechanism by the way, built by the subconscious.
Please my HP Notebook was plugged in and not charging and I was advised to get a new one .
So my brother got a new replacement battery for me from computer village and sent it down to the state I'm in.
I've inserted the new battery and left it to charge for about 3 hours, but I noticed it was still indicating that it was charging and not full. So I powered on the system and to my disappointment, the battery indicated 'plugged in, charging' but is on 0%. When I remove the power adaptor, the system goes off.
I've tried some DIY troubleshooting tips I got online but nothing is working.
Please, what do you think is going on...and what can I do. The thoughts of sending back the battery to Lagos isn't appealing at all.
C.C. Optimusprime08, Hollarmy, Razak5, Udemzyudex....or any other person abeg.... :-
Try this :
1. Remove the battery. 2. Plug in the charger without the battery. 3. Fix in the battery with the battery while the charger is plugged in as in number 2.
Try the above steps...it should pick up.
After that... try another charger with the same steps if it didn't. It's something about the system recognising the new battery.
I want reprogram the extra keys above my touchpad from leftclick/rightclick to back/front as indicated in the pictures below. I've tried most tricks/settings/softwares I know, but none is viable.
The laptop is a Dell Latitude E6530. Any hack/solution that works for this would work on the entire Latitude family.

That Owerri - Port Harcourt road is something else. That's how I nearly got robbed at Elele heading back to PH, few mins after you pass Madonna. If not for a tanker driver that followed one way at full speed while blaring his horn to notify us. Still we couldn't stop soon enough and almost ran into those boys, about 6 visible ones (I'm sure some were taking cover in the bush)...they were about 2 stone throw from us before we reverse with the pedal to the floor. You need to see those guys....young guys tho, but armed to the teeth, they were already ransacking a Toyota Hiace bus.
We later passed through after 2 army hilux went ahead to arrest the situation (we passed them not too long ago before the incident...they were likely notified by the tanker driver). This was around 18:30 - 19:00 hours.
The government need to do something about this.

reidkrugger: U won't believe I'm yet to see dat movie. 1st and 2nd were simply Awesome. And they had very nice songs playing all through. I also learnt a ton from there.
The movie is nice. And the movie; Rango is one of my all time animation favourite.
NB: Rango had a $135 million budget (that's about 49 billion naira for animation ). I don't think Africa is ready yet!
reidkrugger: I know what you are thinking and the answer is NO. Well i got tired of posting jpeg images upandan and decided to go full throttle animating almost every item i could so that i can place my camera anywhere for a shot. The result... An awesome and fascinating experience. If i'll do this again? Yes but not in a hurry and not without money. It takes genuine gra-gra to go this far animating. And i have learnt quite a lot. It really has been a journey and i'm glad i didn't back down from it when it seemed almost impossible. Would have posted something a long time ago but if you know me, you'll know i hate very short animations. Will buzz you guys tommorow but for now, enjoy. And yeah, it's not rendered yet and its not the full version. Thanks for following and thanks for the patience.
Nice job you're doing here. On my own part, I'm still looking for something good/innovative that can work in Nigeria, specifically PH. Most of the "big" ideas I have aren't feasible in this economy...although they can become with huge money influx. But that would bring in loads of investors, meaning more pressure/unrealistic expectations...coupled with too many cooks stiring the soup.
Sometimes....most times....I just kickback and try envision what Mark Zuckerberg would do...if he was born in Nigeria.
Enasdan: after the formatting the system, some files that were permanently deleted were able to been retrieve using data recovery software but they refuse to open, they are now in shortcuts, that's the challenge,
A lot of things could have caused that.....
- saving to the same drive you're recovering from - new data overwriting previous ones - the recovery software....etc.
benob: when can i go on my windows 10 to pause automatic update, its affecting my data,everytime auto update
A solid fix is;
Use any phone as your hotspot..... and when connected with it.....go to your PC WI-FI settings, and set your phone connection as a metered connection ......that's the key. Your system will always recognize that connection as having limited data plan.
So anytime you connect from that phone..... only your current task would be allowed to connect to the internet. So nothing like background synchronization of other apps or Windows update zapping loads of data.
I always tell my clients in Nigeria that; instead of buying a modem, they should buy a small android phone, to act as hotspot. They're the same in price and better, because;
-their battery last better -you can control/see your data statistics in more details. -portability -capable of emergency secondary functions. -more reliable -not dependent on one mobile carrier. -less hassle ...and host of other benefits.
Enasdan: good evening house, my system was formatted, all my files were backed up, after formatting all my file were retrieve back and due to insufficient space they were deleted where they were all backup, the problem I have now is some of my important projects work they were retrieved are showing in shortcuts, I cannot view, please do help me, they are my project work, all my project work are now showing shortcut, I can open them, please your help is needed urgently. thanks in advance for your swift responses, I do appreciate
What kind of backup did you do initially ? Windows backup ? To what type of drive ? If it's Windows backup, in the backup drive, check the file history. And when you're retrieving backed up files like say; Documents , don't just select Documents and press restore. Instead, click through the Document folder and highlight the file(s) you want to restore....then restore.
