Hello Gurus in the house.

I urgently need advice on this issue please.

We want to switch visa. While scanning my daughter’s BRP chip to confirm her identity during her visa application, it’s displaying an incomplete middle name, and that the record (her middle name) we imputed does not tally with UKVI record. This issue is preventing me from proceeding with the application.

I’ve contacted UKVI/Home Office several times via calls and emails but haven’t received a response. With her current visa expiring in 8 days.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I recently received an email to make an IHS top-up of $295. I have made the payment, but please let me know if I need to do anything else, such as send the payment receipt or confirmation email to a specific UKVI department, or any step I should take after making the payment?

The applicant’s (kids) parents must each be applying at the same time with the kids. Otherwise MA will be approved while your kids will automatically be rejected.

If you want to proceed with any application, it's advisable for only the MA (wife) to apply then you and the kids can put in an application later.

I want to share an update and seek advice regarding our visa application.

My wife (the main applicant), our two children, and I (proof of funds is in my account) just returned from IOM. While their certificates came out fine, mine was not issued as they couldn't determine my true health status. I have to return on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to provide sputum samples, and the test results will take around 10 weeks, according to the IOM doctor.

Due to this situation, I might have to move the POF to my wife's account, which means the 28-day period will start again. My wife and the children might have to apply for their visas without me, which would be difficult as she might not be able to take care of the two children alone over there.

I would like to seek your advice on whether I should consider another facility like Consultant practice, Qlink, etc. I am sincerely in need of guidance on the best way to move forward at this junction.

As you advised, I have gone ahead to book another test at another facility. Unfortunately, the earliest date I could get was 23rd August. In order not to put all my eggs in one basket, can my wife and children go ahead with their visa application and use the Proof of Funds that is already in my account, Is it doable? while I apply later after sorting the TB test issue out.

My opinion is to let them know you went to IOM and got an x-ray recently

You don't need it for your study

You may need it if you are interested in taking up roles in sensitivity sectors (working with minors etc)

Note most PC expires after 3-6months

DBS checks will be needed at that point anyway, and that will be done in the UK

I am not financial buoyant to get a comprehensive insurance and a tracker for now, thus, the reason I am thinking of getting a rewire to fix a security.

Give a better description of your problem. When exactly does the jerk occur? When you depressed the throttle or when the gears are getting ready to change?

It when jerks the gear is getting ready to change. It happens mostly in the afternoon.
My mech has serviced the gear switch. Still no improvement.

Your engine is running rich, too much fuel is getting into your cylinders for combustion.

There are only 2 causes of this issue,

1. either your oxygen sensors are not the right type for your vehicle but your brainbox sees it but forces itself to work with the default parameters available. Honda oxygen sensors resemble each other very much and it’s easy to but a wrong replacement. (I’ve seen people put civic or Acura O2 sensors in their vehicles and still experience high fuel consumption without any check engine lights on)

2. Your fuel injectors are leaking (stuck open), in this case even if you like clean them from now till next year it won’t change anything because it’s not dirt that’s their issue but the spray mechanism is stuck plus it’s not easy for a normal mechanic to know if it’s stuck or not. The best solution will be to replace them with good working ones.

From the way your vehicle drinks fuel, your issue must fall between either of the two options above so far your idle rpm isn’t high due to a vacuum leak

You need someone with a good scan tool to monitor your fuel trims to know for sure where the problem is coming from.

When last did you check your injectors? A leaking injector can cause your issue if truly your oxygen sensors are good and you have no check engine light on.

The black carbon you feel in your exhaust, is it dry or oily?

No leakeage sir. I have serviced the injector twice this year. I even added Total fuel additives injector cleaner to my fuel 2 months ago. (I was desperate).

The black carbon is dry, not oily.

Dear Gurus,

Kindly assist with solutions to my fuel consuming EOD 4cyl.

Full tank usually runs for about 130 km before showing yellow on the fuel guage.

When engine is idling or driving you won't see or notice black smoke on cabon coming out from exhaust but if you dip your finger inside the exhaust you will bring out black carbon from the exhaust.

I scanned, it got 02 Sensor 1 and 2 codes. I have changed the sensors. No check engine sign on the dash board again, however, the fuel consumption is till the same, if you dip your finger inside the exhaust pipe, you will still bring out thick black carbon.

I need help, please!!

My EOD gear revs and jerk when changing from 1 to 2 (lower to higher gear). It works fine when it gets to high gear. This has been going on for a while now.

We have serviced the sensors, change the ATF oil, still the same (The only oil I have been using is the "Honda U. S Automatic Transmission Fluid Atf Dw")

Please, how do I solve this problem sir.

I once had a problem like yours on the same type of vehicle and engine. I later found out it was a leakage from my engine oil sump.

One of the bolts broke in half and i would have had to bring down the engine from the car to remove the broken bolt so I drove it like that for two years. That time i would be topping up a liter of oil every two weeks lol i used to use the 5w20 oil that time and even after switching to 5w30 and 5w40 the leakage persisted

I didn’t want to bring out my engine and pay the exorbitant workmanship just because of one broken bolt So what did I do?

I bought 5w30 synthetic oil from petrocam(5 liters) and a can of liquimoly mos2 engine friction modifier from oyingbo and mixed them together and poured into my engine. I used it for just under 1,000kms and it plugged the leakage completely I ran the oil for 3,500kms without topping it up with a single drop of oil because the level on the dipstick didn’t reduce one bit

Today I’m using Mobil 0w20 oils for more than 5,000kms without any shortage. I even used the remainder of the petrocam oil in my generator

So change your pcv valve first and if your shortage continues you could try my method if you find out that you indeed have a leakage
