We are saying the same thing. Under normal circumstances, joining unions should never be forced on anyone but you know nothing is normal in Nigeria. People doing POS are still better... That's one of the major failures of the traditional rulers, they are complacent and even encourage the unions in their clandestine activities.

Dangote may not be the best but trying to hold the whole country hostage by going on strike makes absolutely no sense. They could have easily taken Dangote to court, that's the proper and legal thing to do. Industrial action should be a last resort not the go to option when you can't have your way. They've lost their edge now because the other person went to court first. We can't keep saying the country is lawless but still resort to the same lawlessness just to get our way. Its sad.

Where did you read from all that was written that it's not compulsory to join a union? even though it's not.

Nobody should be able to force anyone to join any union. Even the Supreme Court ruled against the Nigerian Medical Association on a similar matter where they were trying to prevent a doctor that didn't want to be a part of the union from practicing.

Unions are never compulsory. The reason market women can be forced is because most of them are not educated and that's part of the reasons some of us encourage small businesses to register their business. The amount you'll pay to register your business can't be compared to the rubbish the useless union will put you through with no benefit whatsoever.

Like I always say... It's not enough to only have brain, it's profitable to know how to use it as well.

I hope you won't blame Tinubu when you're unable to impregnate your wife. Attributing the failure of a state owned venture to the federal government is beyond stupid.

Ways and means does not always mean printing new notes. Most times it's just taking out from the dormant money not actively in circulation and also from the funds with them by commercial banks.

Unfortunately, we can't know when it has to do with printing new notes or not.

Look for this part: The PUNCH recently reported that the Federal Government borrowed N6.31tn from the CBN through Ways and Means Advances in 10 months of 2022. This pushed total borrowing from the CBN from N17.46tn in December 2021 to N23.77tn in October 2022.

Bro... This is 2023 article, 2-3 years after the advise. No nao. Even at that, the article said nothing about printing new notes. CBN always has reserve where they can lend out money to the government. Its still the same money in the economy that CBN is lending the government.

When new notes are printed, it still doesn't mean there's more money in the economy because most times the new notes replace the old notes so the market still has the same balance, just new notes.

The advise he gave was valid for the covid period because that was the period that encountered the challenges he was advising for. If they decided to print more money way after those conditions are no longer valid, do you still blame him for that? We also all know the money printed around the election was purely political and not for economic reasons.

Let me give you an illustration. You were feeling hot in summer and I advised you to take a swim in the pool to feel cooler. You ignored my advise and after some time when it was winter, you decided to take a swim in a partially frozen pool and ended up with hypothermia. Am I still to be blamed for your actions?

I'll suggest schools, especially state and federal schools should start collecting caution fee that will be returned after the session if nothing gets damaged in the room. And there should also be committees to oversee periodic repairs and maintenance.

I have a friend born in Onitsha to Yoruba parents who migrated from Ilorin to Onitsha,had his nursery and primary school in Onitsha,schooled in Barewa college and ABU Zaria...guess what my friend speak Igbo,Hausa and Yoruba perfectly...he built his Ilorin house in Sultan road area Ilorin that is dominant by Igbo.....cuz of this languages,the guys is making it financiall as an entrepreneur.....we see him more of Igbo than Yoruba cuz nothing differentiate him from Igbo.....this guy is pure Yoruba,not that he has Igbo mum.

That's one person out of how many? If you want to learn other languages, you're free. Most Nigerians I know that understand other languages is not because they were taught in school but because of the environment they grew up in, which is how it should be. But telling me my child should be learning Hausa when we all live in Ogun state is beyond silly.

What of the business men that understand only thier own languages and are trading fine with other tribes? That's the purpose of lingua franca. You want to learn other indigenous languages, perfect! but don't try making the government look inept for introducing a foreign language into the curriculum.

Why will I want my children to learn hausa or Igbo as a yoruba person, for what exactly? Of what benefit is it to them? Nigeria's official language is English, so why exactly will schools be teaching other indigenous languages? How does that make sense? Schools in the south west will teach the prevalent indigenous language as well as other regions, that's how it has always been but your hatred won't let you see it. Later you'll tell them to start teaching efik and other minorities I guess. Una no just get sense.

Schools should teach at least one foreign language and if the government decides it's mandarin, then I see nothing wrong with it. Where was this energy when French was the foreign language being taught?
