I thought RSSDA as well as TIMARIV were disbanded when he became Governor? If they were, I don't see how he would be owing them salaries. |
I thought I was the only one experiencing the reboot issue. Hope it is fixed soon. |
You quoted Florence Nightingales' dispute with the doctors during the Crimean war. What you failed to mention was that the morbidity and mortality in her wards were worse than those of the untreated patients. Read about her properly and you'd find out that the Crimean war was her biggest failure. It was so bad that she refused to leave her home post-war. |
Good evening. Pls I'd like to know how much a 2002 Toyota Camry will cost. I'm in need of one quite urgently. Thanks. |

I think she should talk to her mother about it if possible. The problem i think may arise is that one way or the other, her sisters would find out and they'll blame her for sleeping with their husbands. Then, no explanation would suffice. I pray God gives you the grace to make the right choice. You can also start helping yourself by saying no to both of them immediately. |
Many persons can say what they will but as a supporter of GEJ, here is my own two pence. 1. Though he may not be the most flamboyant of persons, he has been able to achieve something that has been a rarity in Nigeria which is the eradication of fuel scarcity. We may have taken it for granted yet over the holiday season we can look back to the fact that we did not spend valuable hours in the petrol station. 2. He is disciplined. In contrast to Mallam Ribadu who thought that because he was in charge of the EFCC he was no longer part of the Nigerian Police force so refused his redeployment to his new area of assignment. 3. Ribadu is not corrupt yet he still manages to buy a house at the palms in Dubai. How does a government employee get so much money to buy such a property? 4. He was a strong voice of the anti-corruption crusade yet it can be argued that he targeted those whose politics did not rhyme with that of his boss. Despite all the noise from the pro-Ribadu camp, the anti-corruption crusade is still going strong and it is not going about its duties in an unlawful manner as it was under its previous leadership who flouted the law many times. Good intentions does not justify a wrong action. 5. He may appear slow but till date, GEJ has the record for the fastest strike resolution. Remember the ASUU and Labour strikes of November that were all resolved after only one day. If that is not a sign of effective leadership, i don't know what else is. 6. On the power issue, i don't see how privatisation of the power sector will make it any worse than it currently is. Workers may want to strike for the various reasons but to me the honest reason is that they are afraid that they'll have to work for their salaries. For now, i rest my case. |
For me it is a no brainer. Medicine is definitely much more difficult. You don't just study to become a doctor, you also study your patients as individuals and also as part of a group and tailor their treatment to suit them as individuals. I know some in the medical profession that use I.T as a means to unwind from their stressful day. I've not even heard of anyone unwinding with medicine. |
You don't have your own space. In less than two months, you'll grate on each other and end up disliking yourselves. As has been said earlier, if you must go out with the girl, move to another area. |
It is very unfortunate that a small group of persons can end up painting a much larger group in a bad light. As a christian, I've lived with muslims as neighbours and they are very nice people. |
The prevalence of AIDS in Nigeria is seriously inflated. A doctor in a teaching hospital once remarked that if the hospital could be used as a benchmark, the prevalence would be less than one percent. This factors in all hospital admissions and visits by patients over the course of a year. Nigerians just like repeating facts so that they can get more money for the projects. |
Why are they even called militants? In all the years of their so called struggle can they point to something positive that is a direct result of their actions? I just feel sorry for the villagers. If militants come near my village, i will move to another one at least 20 miles from the place. The army will most probably say they were aiding and abetting the militants and honestly they won't be wrong. As a person from the Niger Delta, these so called militants have caused more harm than good. |
@ Salisu Ori. You say IBB has the most grassroots support and to that let me recount a story my parents told me when i was younger. IBB went to Rivers state and the old women were invited to sing for him at the airport as he arrives. The flight delayed so the women slept off. When he finally arrived, they woke up and started shouting Awo, Awo, Awo. When they were told that it was not Awolowo, they started shouting Zik, Zik, Zik. If he had so much popularity when he was the military president, i doubt he has more now knowing that many persons grew up knowing that he was the man that cancelled the best elections Nigeria had. |
Happy birthday Mr President. |

Don't make the nice things you do become a routine. Do things differently once in a while. Surprise him, challenge him and also take interest in the things he enjoys. You'll then get to spend more time with him and maybe, just maybe keep him fully for yourself. |
I think if we read the statement properly it was not talking of just the federal governments debt. The state governments also borrow and that is what we really need to check. The sub-national borrowing is just too much. Imagine how much the government of Bayelsa state has borrowed despite the allocation and revenue generated and the small population. Yet, the state is not really moving forward. Thank God sub-national borrowing has to be approved by the FEC. |
This story is not credible. In what world does Benue state share a border with Cameroon. Some journalists are just plain dumb. |
@ semid, please can you upload most of the books you have on plunder to 4shared? I used to have most of them but some how lost them. And right now, plunder is misbehaving. Thanks. Loved the job you did by the way. |
Some persons are making comments just because they oppose Jonathan for presidency. Imagine if the security services killed the man for such a move what would be the response? In some countries, the man would be killed or if not properly "processed". Then others would think twice. |
There is no elected office holder in Nigeria who enters office and won't have a massive jump in his/her net worth. Just the security vote per month is enough to bring a change. Add all the allowances per month and it will be a massive suprise if by now his net worth does not exceed 5 billion. All he has to do is invest some of his monthly earnings and he'll get richer by the day. All i pray is even if the corrupt leaders steal, it should be invested in Nigeria and not to enrich another countries coffers. |
