I'm not debating any of those facts with you my brother, but as far as this diesel price spike is concerned, the contributory factors are externally rooted.

Since the beginning of this year, there have been at least fifteen instances of fuel price adjustments both from private and government controlled market sources, yet that fluctuation has largely not affected diesel prices until this week when the U.S diesel price just hit $6 for the first time in America's history.

Subsidy on diesel was dislodged by Obasanjo and its subsequent prices have been determined by geopolitical forces, so our situation is not a detached incident.

Very agreeably, we could have felt this price rise impact way lesser were our inflation rate not so terribly high and our currency value so abysmally crashed.

Can you compare the percentage in the rise of Diesel to that of the west,Im not talking actual pump price even though its getting close but the percentage.SO is the global impact not affecting us thesame ?

My point is that you can claim something on your farmland and even that one the whole world can come to a new understanding on all minerals and the ownership can change but the one hundreds of kilometers offshore is certainly not in the same category. It does not affect your means of livelihood at all like a farm. What is inside the high seas does not by any means belong to a handful of people living on the coast. You may argue for the things on your farmland though but even that buried under ground is free money.

I have explained to you that you can have control and less income or no control and more income. So control isn't actually what is most important if you reflect properly. 13 percent of free money on the high seas isn't a small concession. If they were given 100 percent and they don't have a serious leadership there will still be extreme poverty in the land.

If the UN agrees to littoral states owning minerals several miles offshore, it does not mean they are right because the vast majority of all minerals on Earth is in the oceans and any law saying it belongs to a handful of people on the coast is not a well thought out law.

Time Out highlighted the city’s ability to continually reinvent its nightlife, from its historic warehouse-party culture to contemporary venues built around house, techno, Afro-house, gqom, drum and bass and experimental sounds.

The South African city also performed strongly on affordability and community. 66% of locals rated Johannesburg positively for affordability, while 80% said it was easy to find connection and community in the city.

Clubbing, casual pubs and cocktail bars were identified by residents as the city's strongest after-dark offerings.

ACCRA EARNS A PLACE AMONG THE GLOBAL TOP 20

Accra ranked 18th globally, with Time Out pointing to the Ghanaian capital’s established nightlife districts and growing mix of bars, clubs, live music venues and alternative entertainment spaces.

Osu remains one of the city's main nightlife centres, while East Legon is emerging as another major destination, with new venues adding to Accra's increasingly upscale nightlife scene.

The city also scored strongly for affordability and community. 62% of Accra residents rated going out as affordable, while 75% said it was easy to find community. Another 65% described the city as welcoming and friendly.

Time Out noted that Accra's nightlife extends beyond mainstream Afrobeats, with electronic music, alté, R&B and other subcultures contributing to the city's after-dark identity.

The two African cities were joined in the global top 20 by destinations including Bangkok, which took the No. 1 position, Berlin at No. 2 and Melbourne at No. 3.

The rankings suggest that Africa's leading nightlife capitals are increasingly competing on more than clubs and late-night entertainment, with affordability, community, music diversity and distinctive local culture helping shape their appeal to residents and visitors.

If Bayelsa takes everything it will not necessarily better their lot. It isn't natural resources that makes a nation develop but the oil on the high seas does not belong to only the people on the coast in reality. The high seas which forms 70 percent of Earth's surface isn't the property of a handful of people.
Believe me if 13 percent of less than 2 million bpd can't help then if it is of 10 million bod it will still not help and 100 percent of less than 2:million bpd will certainly be the same.
However the oil does not belong to Bayelsa just because they are fishing on the coast
