A
Let me give a real life scenario.

Mr A is a 35 year old plumber who has successfully built a house in Mowe and drives a car of his own. He is an average Nigerian and able to afford basics for his family.

Mr A will need to sell his house and car to be able to afford Visa application, flight, COS and landing cost.

In the instance above, Mr A relocating would be a set-back. The time, necessary qualification and market experience is not on his side. Embarking on such move will be disastrous.

Mr A would have fit in, if he was single and ready to dedicate another 10-15 years to start afresh, which is not guaranteed.

Mr A can work it out and send his kids studies and visit if permitted.

Do you get where I am coming from?
I get it but you are wrong, there is no one size fits all. Everyone is different some persons are just more ready than others. Let me give you an example, A family friend just relocated to the Uk.he is one year my junior in school, He sold his house when coming last year. He arrived here legit with right to work .Now he has 1st Degree Elect Elect, has more than 15 years working xpirience in that field. Located in PH.He sold his house N45m, use part to relocate his family into a good estate in PH near stadium rd. he landed a good job based in Leeds,Feb this year when the ££££££ was 2000 plus we both came to Nigeria and we both bought fresh land in a developing estate for N19M.With he projection we have, he should finish the carcass of this new build in 2 years. He has rented a nice 4 bed duplex for wife and kids. Now I am not trying to say this will work for everyone but if you come prepared then yu are good to go. You will make money very fast and can return to invest in that dream idea that you always have.

LOOK AROUND VERY WELL IN THAT NIGERIA, NO ETHNIC GROUP IS EXEMPT FROM SUFFERING.

SO, ALL THIS ETHNIC NOISE U MAKE, ONLY DEPICTS YOUR ILLITERACY ON THE DISCUSSION TO MOVE A NATION FORWARD.

DO THEY NOT HAVE VARIOUS ETHNIC GROUPS IN UK, FRANCE, GERMANY, CHINA AND RUSSIA?

U HAVE EXHAUSTED YOUR TRIBAL CARD, WE WILL NOW CONTINUE TO DISCUSS WITHOUT YOUR DUMBASS.
Nah in the Uk everyone has equal right to live work buy and sell where they deem fit.No tell me how many persons do you know own shops at main market Onitsh? whom are from Benin, or delta states?as much as you castigate the westerners they are very open and even allow others to trade there, this is not tribal, Im arguing a genuine reality amongst a group of persons who are greedy and one of them here is talking about fighting for Nigeria. This was one of the reason Mr WIKE death with you lot.Yes the Uk have various few Ethnic groups but I am sure you bringing up this sillyness do not even know them yet you wanna act exposed and current when infact your gist are back bar legit!

THE ISSUE IS DEM NO WANT IMMIGRATION.

INSTEAD OF CALLING UK MISERABLE, NIGERIANS SHOULD FIGHT FOR WHAT IS GOOD.

THEY SHOULD FIGHT FOR WHAT BELONGS TO THEM. (NIGERIA).
Fight for Nigeria does not always involve physical fight, sometimes it involves you traveling abroad to look for greener land to better your life and that of your generation!Almost them lot that lead you today i n Nigeria have their linage abroad schooling or a citizen of the west. They made their initial monies abroad and return to Nigeria to now rule you lots.

You know why I detest most Nigerians abroad. You always hide reality and sell fictions to people back home irrespective of their condition and present status.

I am a good advocate of Japa on terms, not selling same script for everyone. Many have been led astray by that doctrine.
What is reality and what is fiction as regards japa ?

Without wasting much time, I was traveling and needed to leave home early. I arrived at the place where I would catch my second bus to the next station as early as 8:45 am, just a few minutes before 9 am. I decided to get something to eat. I am not a fan of roadside food or snacks, so I just needed a place to get something light and then get back to the park to catch a bus.

I finally found a small but neat eatery and went in to see what it offered. I noticed the food on display didn't look fresh, and I didn't want to risk eating microwaved leftover food. However, the snacks and chicken smelled nice and fresh. So, I immediately opted for a donut, chicken, and a bottle of water.

Yeah, my sense of smell didn't betray me; even my taste buds confirmed it.

My only shock was that the one donut and piece of chicken I ordered came with a whopping 4 pieces of toothpicks. I tried to figure out how much of the N1,700 went for the toothpicks, but I couldn't. Yeah, the meal was okay, and I think it was worth the price even though the chicken and donut were kind of small in size. I ended up having more toothpicks than the meal itself.

Well, I made sure to eat every bit of the donut, leaving no crumbs behind, except for the sugar sprinkled on the donut that I dusted onto the plate.

As for the chicken, hmmm, I chewed everything except just a few tiny bones left behind. I finished my bottle of water too. However, the toothpicks and the serviette paper were spared. Lol, do you think I spent my N1,700 well?

But you admitted it's already deducted from you salary upfront - health insurance.

Haba!
I surprised you want to have this conversation without even bothering to know how the Uk system works, Well since you failed to at least have a read let me help you.
There are two groups of people in the Uk, those that work and those who do not work.
Now those who do not work get free housing and money from government so do not pay anything as a matter of fact the get more from government. So If 4 some reason I'm not working, I will have free house from government and get universal credit. This is why someone who is illegal in the Uk can walk into AnE and get treated. In the USA this was what Obama changed into called Obama care. Cos he realised teh vast majority of people who cannot afford health insurance were blacks.

You are NOT current at all.

Government hospitals are the most patronised in the country these days.

When I did my hernia operation, it was in a general hospital. The bill was less than 10k.

Government hospital is where you have the specialists.

All most private hospitals attend to is first aid issues, malaria and typhoid treatment, cholera treatment and other sundry ailments as well as basic maternity issues including CS.
Thats Op will be free in the UK,infact the after care plus medication even Ambulance transfer are all Free.

If you are registered with an HMO, you won't pay anything.

If you go to a government hospital, you only pay for drugs .

When my wife put to bed in a government health center, it was the nurse on duty that obtained 2k from us. That's all. We were given a list of things needed beforehand and we brought them.
Brother stop this talk nah, its being ignorant. Have you not seen people dies on the road from bleeding?
DO you have anyone to call to your home get burnt and your person got burnt?
If you have common appendix, do you have anywhere or anyone to call for such simple Operation?
If not for private hospitals in Nigeria, do you know how many persons would have gone 6ft bellow by now.in the uk U call the ambulance and they are there even b4 you look at the window sometimes. Beg stop.Nigeria wey be say ordinary check up you get charged.

Why then did you make it seem as if the health care is completely free when you actually pay for the insurance

We have health insurance here too.

Tax for rain that flowed from your roof to the gutter is optional
We call it free cos people who do not pay still get it.Now the money you pay is next to nothing for the service you get, imagine getting hip replacement and double bypass on the NHS for free. People who do not work get treated for free and get medication for free

Health insurance is free

Don't you pay other taxes like TV, radio, rains dropping from your ceiling to the drains etc etc

With fufu being over 1 pound, how can you be spending just 250 pounds on feeding a month

What of the personal income tax itself
its Beter 4 you to speak to people close to you who live abroad to give you the true reflection of the Uk so you don't go assuming Moreso you do not go embarrassing yourself in real life speaking like this. People pay National insurance from their salary a form of tax and payee tax plus pension. Then TV tax. Every other tax is optional.

Ok convert this!
12 wraps of fufu in Nigeria cost 1000naira.
I saw a video of price tag on 3 wraps of fufu in a mall, £18.
So 0.5% of my monthly salary will get me 12wraps of fufu.
0.5% of £2k will get you at least 1 wrap of fufu.
This☝️ is why you should stop those silly conversations.
Money is just a piece of paper; a social construct, and the only reason that it has value is because the society has agreed for it to have value.
The most important thing is what it can do for you.
Now you have no educative argument and now delve into back room bants! I think we tend to hit a nerve when we said N200k is shyte money,Im sorry if your dream JOB is N200k, but the reality on ground is simple N200k is a struggling pay there is no bright light ahead unless you upgrade yourself. N200k.Embarassing sad sad sad sad.
