That's their game.plan but they've failed. I knew this from the onset. How do you expect him to betray the people who put him there through their votes, cos of a minority corrupt group? Apc is operating like a cult. Rivers will take care of the apc. I trust them |
TheOgaBoss:https://punchng.com/niger-bans-lpg-exports-to-nigeria Hope you read it from the beginning to the end. Happy reading |
Ironbull:Read the below from the beginning to the end. https://punchng.com/niger-bans-lpg-exports-to-nigeria It's not enough to be ranting on social media as usual. We just need to look inwards, else the masses will feel the heat. During the period this LPG ban took effect, cooking gas price rose sharply in Nigeria |
Ironbull:Hope you have a farmland to grow vegetables, rear cow and plant beans and onions? This your chest beating isn't enough oo. There would be no more free entry and exit into those 3 countries anymore. I hope you know what that means. 60% of cows, beans, pepper, onions, cooking gas we consume in Nigeria come from Niger. Google is your friend. Now there would be trade barriers, stiff diplomacy, etc before we can access those stuffs. The best way to avoid food crises in the sub-region is to look inwards and begin growing what we used to import from them. While the section lasted, they were selling to north and south africa and they can still continue. Did you hear them saying ebinpawon, despite the sanction and border closure? The last time I checked, beans, cow and cooking gas became very expensive and Ghana complained of scarce onions. Expect heavy tax on our pipeline we're constructing to Europe too, which pass through them. Tinubu caused the nonsense. He didn't manage the situation intelligently. In buhari or obj era, it won't happen. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Don't mind them. Ecowas is a voluntary organisation after all |
sharpwriter:Your moniker doesn't replicate what you just put up there. If you're truly a sharp writer, you ought to have understood my commemt before responding. I dont just talk without facts to back it up . How many people in Nigeria can afford afe babalola medical bills, talkless of poor people of ekiti? The state teaching hospital is a glorified health centre. The governor commissioned ordinary mammo this week and posted it on the social media, what's in mammo...an x-ray machine for breast examinations . That's what they saw as a big thing. I know of other southern states who are in ekiti shoes. North has almost everything yet, they depend on our allocation to survive. Affordable Healthcare is lacking in that state just like it is in some southern states with lean allocation. Kaduna alone has 5 major federal health facilities, while ekiti had only one which was the fmc , now FTH. That's not enough. The college you mentioned is just a school, not a hospital. |
Long overdue. Ekiti is backwards in Healthcare. Now, they'd have a fed teaching hospital and a federal hospital . Up north, one state would have a teaching hospital, a federal medical centre, federal orthopedic hospital, federal neuro-psychiatric hospital, national ear care centre, national eye care centre, etc. Haba! |
Donald7610:Because they're his friends. Make dey no just sabotage dangote efforts oo. Otherwise, na ibinu oloun dem they play with |
They told us by this year April, all our local refinery would be up an running, after they had shifted the dates 3 times what has happened? Believe tinubu at your peril. Lying is like food to him |
When travelling from NJ to NY last month, I passed the iconic Lincoln tunnel which starts from NJ and ends in NY under the sea. I was like, this heritage is already 90 years old? Millions of those who passed that tunnel are long gone. As if that wasn't enough, I dashed into Bronx to see an old friend and all the buildings looked pretty old but well maintained. They were part of the early settlements in NYC. Before getting to Bronx, I passed by one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in the world called Woollawn. I saw centuries old tombs with the names Mccarthy, William, Bill, engraved on them. They were the heroes of American formation, who once lived in Bronx and manhattan and built the entire infrastructure which current generation is now enjoying . What will our politicians be remembered for, like their forebears whom we're hailing today such as Pa Awo, Zik, Sardauna, etc? Everyone reading this already knows the answer. |
Olachase:So sorry. What happened to her? |
Forkthiefnubu:Are you saying obj is a tribalist? You must be a Cameroonian |
Righthussle:Don't mind apc illiterate followers. They thrive in propaganda |
Anguldi:That's the problems in the Nigerian politicians. Edu couldn't have been there without the influence of our corrupt politicians. If they want to allow the youth into the system, they should allow merit and due process but laye, they'd never allow that happen. Better Edu had been there since akpabio was governor and they've run things together. When the apc women leader was zoned to their region, akpabio didn't hesitate to recommend her despite the cry of foul play by those who were more qualified. During ministerial nomination, he recommended her again and that's how she got there . Go and read about Special Purpose Vehicle...that's what she was for akpabio when in power in Akwa ibom. Billions mean nothing to her. The day Nigerian youths are really ready to take their country back and move her forward, that's when they'd end suffering. Look at them in Canada, usa and other places, suffering all in the name of japa? They left the land flowing with milk and honey behind because the system had been hijacked from their hands as a result of their bigotry of sort. It's never too late to act. |
Fear the apc and propaganda. Even the PDP members resigning have been automatically welcome into the APC on social by propagandists , as if edo will vote the apc just like that, lol. |
Dennisochampa:Well, I've chosen not to respond to every comment here anymore, except a few constructed with civility, no matter how much I'm moved. That said, when a conglomerate sells off their stakes, in an unusual manner, such a move always has negative impacts on the economy of that country or region where they operate. When last have you been to Oba Akran Avenue to see the state of things? Their admin office was first deserted and taken over by justrite. Following this development, a lot of their staff were sacked and it affected one of my course mates, a first class graduate. He was so lucky to have been employed a few months later by flourmills. Of course, some product lines will remain in operation until the set timeline is attained and they'd begin importing to Nigeria from Kenya. In 2023, they made it known in one of their mgt meetings with Diageo officials from across the globe in attendance. This went viral and shareholders began to kick. In response, guiness said there's nothing like that as there was no official statement to that effect. That was in 2023. This year June, they officially announced a change in their operations and selling off stakes , contrary to last year's release. Diageo will no longer brew major lagers and malt anymore in Nigeria whilst they keep their distribution channels open, just like Unilever, uac, PZ, etc have done after leaving for Ghana. We still see closeup and other brands around. They may leave only Orijin behind which is a naija breed but the question is, how many of the Guinness staff that this development would affect be so fortunate to be migrated into Orijin plant? Only key staff will go to Kenya while others will be laid off. This will have a negative impact on the Nigerian ailing economy. Shoprite did same when they were leaving by selling their stakes and went back home. What followed it was massive sack and closure of some outlets. No investor is father Xmas, so, those taking over won't pay robustly as guiness, they'd also reduce their staff strength.
|
Exousiang01:wait till they turn their facility to warehouses before the chest beating. After leaving, have the likes of Michelin, UAC, Unilever still not having their presence here? Guiness is now moving production facilities into Kenya. Look out for made in Kenya Stout and Guinness malt in the Nigerian market soon, just as Unilever and uac did. As an investor, you can only operate in the economically friendly environment if you want to make profit and that's what Guinness and those who left before them had done. |
Patch-patch government |
Same way Guinness and Shoprite original owners first denied exiting Nigeria. We hope it's a rumour |
Sanwoolu messed up big time. Natural disaster can strike anytime but impact can be prevented if well prepared for. He abandoned the aboru drainage project completely, which was started by ambode. This was the first thing he promised to complete when he came around. We willingly voted this man cos he's not the one we didn't like but his paymaster |
lonelydora:No turning off of the server in order to perpetrate evil act |
Beremx:Not only that. When I was watching the event earlier today on BBC, I could see only 3 vehicles leading him to downing street. In Nigeria, the presidential convoy will reach 400, as seen last year, disturbing everybody in lagos with intimidation. A poor country for that matter. Their juju dey work on their supporter wella |
Let him spend the rest of his life in jail with hard labour. Some Nigerians get mind oo. Where's Cambodia sef, make I look am for world map |
Righthussle:SMH! |
What's happening in Anambra lately? The road accident as recorded in recent times dey too much |
Tigermann22:The highest beneficiary won't get up to 3m naira. He's talking like an egbero as usual. Take it to the market, it's gone like a passing whim |
Righthussle:So, you're now insulting God by calling Him unseen entity? This carry an unbearable weight guy. You shouldn't have sounded so foolishly. God , the creator has become this worthless to you? I reserve my comment |
Moroccoguy:Very important |
Indelibleage:I've met with him and I've met with the lady who's her health commissioner too. I know what I'm saying . He wanted sourcing loan from French government in 2020 to execute some project's in oyo hospitals and some on sanitation and water projects. We went for a meeting alongside our French partners, did feasibility studies. Nothing could be achieved in the end. The French government gave a condition to approving the loan which was that, 70% of the equipment to be procured by the oyo state government must be sourced from France while they provide money covering 30% of the entire facility. Maybe this was what caused set back, I'd not know. Since then, the hospital project was stalled. Since there's nothing positive coming from that side, he should look inwards and use same amount he's spending on other projects which impact less, on Healthcare which impacts greatly. Health is wealth. I'm not saying makinde isn't working. I'm one of his fans. I was in Ibadan yesterday. |
Makinde should invest in Healthcare same way he's doing in other sectors. Health is wealth. Only civil servants or judges who are healthy can go to work and discharge their duties veritably. I don't seem to understand why this sector is always less cares for |
Justiceganduje:Certainly. If not for bigotry of sorts, labour party in Nigeria would have secured 99% of the votes last year, knowing its the party of the civil servants and Nigerian workers. They'd have seen it as freedom last, knowing fully well that the Labour Union's interest would be protected and by extension, the poor masses. But one day, Nigerians will be wise. I hope it won't be too late when they realise their mistake |
PresidObi:Amen!!!!! |
