Same in Saudi Arabia. Amazingly,the majority of their clerics drink alcohol from inside the kettle. They're the most hypocritical beings on earth. I remember the head of hisbah who was caught sleeping with someone else's woman but claimed he was consoling her in a hotel. If not for public outcry, he'd not have been removed. They kept him for a long time before bowing to pressure and got him out.

I hope tomorrow they'd not complain that their federal allocation was low because the same alcoholic company where tax is being collected and formed the fed revenues isn't paying flourishing due to sabotage.

They promised palliatives in 4 months after removing subsidy and unleashed hardship on Nigerians, are they talking palliatives again? We are a mumu nation, uneducated like some Kenyans have said.

The labour union which comprises millions of parents , uncles, cousins, even children Nigerians,including those following the evil and super corrupt politicians, asked for a fair increase in their wage. The Federal Government fumed, governors fumed but they can pocket local government allocations and appoint a perpetual caretaker committee in order to avoid electing LG chairmen so that the grassroots won't have a feel of democratic dividends. To make the matter worse, they're quick to negotiate for another presidential jet after they're done with the presidential yatch, now sidelining the helpless labour union's demand when they can fix the existing jets in ground.

.....and we just keep quiet and watch them? Our mumu go do someday.

They should start jailing from here in lagos . Wetin I take my eye see last year March no be here. Then , jailing the inec chairman for betraying the trust of Nigerians and doing the apc bidding by turning off the server during which massive rigging took place.

Maybe this one who confession had conscience. Agbadorians will still attack him and call him names for telling the truth. Yaradua also confessed that the election that brought him to power wasn't free and fair. I doubt tinubu can boldly copy them by saying the truth but I doubt. Kudos to the current governor of Kano who's teaching others a lesson and way to go by amending the state's law on traditional rulers. Only God can help sultan as we speak. Once the law in sokoto has been successfully amended, he will be a goner or his excesses will be reduced to size. These are the people retarding the growth of the north and that of Nigeria at large. They always exercise too much powers in everything.

Every sector of government in Nigeria is also in Benin Republic, just like they have in all countries of the world and they need service providers too. Nigerians dominate their IT industry. If there was nothing there, would they have gone there to work? Benin republic doesn't have much population, not even up to that of alimosho but the rice in their silos will feed the entire Nigeria for 3 years back to back. Amazingly they are not noise makers like us. Nigeria ni problem gaan but we are just downplaying it. O maa to ye everyone. Asiko ko tii to ni. O ku dię.

Have you been to Parakou, up north? What of Calavi? Cotonou isn't the only city in Benin republic. Have you seen their silos field at parakou? What of the vegetables farms in same location? If all what you're looking for in Benin are skyscrapers, they don't have it. Each time I visit, our European partners, who always get there earlier, they lodge us in the hotel du lak, if you truly know Benin. From that place as soon as you cross the sea is like when you're in Europe, up to Akpakpa.

They may not have oil but believe me, they're not hungry and their economy is growing steadily. When last did you visit and how much did you exchange naira to cefa? That alone will make you sad , especially if you've been visiting since 2015 cos of the huge difference. I love Nigeria more than anyone can think. If I could leave all the feferities in America and invested home, trust me I love being Nigerian more than many may have thought . We're not progressing in the right pace. It's Like were stagnant and only those who go outside would reason with me.

Leadership is our problem and once we get this right . Those in the diaspora wouldn't need to be begged to come back. Investors will come uninvited cos they know we have all it takes to develop and thrive. Mention that thing that we lack except Leadership? God had blessed us with everything a country would need to become an earthly paradise , but Leadership. You heard that a leader of a western country travelled on a commercial plane recently cos his jet had a fault. It won't happen in Nigeria. They'd rather fly a chartered jet instead. A country that needs help is living large on top gbese, with their lawmakers earning the fattest salary in the world.

Now, they're thinking of buying new jets, one for president and one for his vice in a country where people commit suicide over lack every day. Your condition can always get better if all is well with us.

Lies. They're just playing a tit for tat game ni. Our government said their university certificate was worth nothing, which had discouraged Nigerians from assessing a more cheaper education in Benin without strike. They banned importation of rice from Benin for years. Which reasonable neighbour does that when the fed government understood the meaning of comparative advantage?

While the ban was in force, they didn't even do anything locally to empower youths and Local farmers to upgrade their rice farming to a large scale one rather, they went to Abuja and built up fake rice pyramid to make their gullible supporters think their wicked policy was working. During the closed border, Benin Republic invested more in tourism and used same to boost their economy. I visit there always. You'd see foreigners on the streets of Benin as if you're in Europe. That's a country that's serious. During the period, their currency obertook ours by a wide margin, what used to be a useless currency in africa.

There was no allegation the Nigerian government didn't level against Benin which included fuel smuggling. Has that caused our fuel price to come down, now that border had been closed? Had that impacted our economy positively? I leave you to answer that. Benin also goes to same place where we import fuel from, to buy. It's an open market

Let me correct you on your last paragraph...Benin can do much more, without us if they could survive years of border closure. What exactly do we export to them? Nothing!

They placed a ban on importation of rice from their country for years, as if the government had an alternative locally. . There was nothing Nigerian government didn't accuse Benin Republic of, as being the reason for our woeful economy in their corrupt mind, including oil smuggling, as if Benin Republic too doesn't import petrol from same sources where we import from. Additionally, some apparel companies partner with 5-star hotels. You stand to get some rooms and facilities at a discounted rate.

Above all, all these vanity lifestyle only appeal to blacks. A white man would wear a simple but durable watch and sound sound rest in charity. Those countries aren't great without a reason.

There are poor people in the land, with great ideas who need just a fraction of that amount to be come great for life. Blacks and vanity lifestyle is inseparable. We need to change our mentality and focus on human development. If you like, wear 1bn naira wrist watch, nobody cares in developed world.

Exactly. I read of a bricklayer here a few days back, who accompanied his friend to a police station in solidarity, because he believed his friend couldn't have done what he was accused of. He ended up in jail which lasted over 2 decades. He was released recently through a plea by a Christian NGO.

A great mistake anyone would make in Nigeria is expose a criminal. Criminal will find his way out while the reporter ends up in jail.
