Scarrr:Ebinpawa is our language not ibo so, stop calling everyone who says the truth another name wey their mama no give them. My people had so much trust in this man, their expectations were so high. It's so unfortunate. ![]() But I warned them. Everyone who says the truth among us is either seen as Ibo or non yoruba, to describe how much they hoped on this fake man. We wey dey lagos know better. Even though you pretend as if you're not affected by his bad governance, your conscience feels otherwise, just listen to it. |

Happy birthday pretty. OP please tell her to be mindful of what she eats. She's still young and can still control it. Cheers to her new age |
TheSuperX:Yes. I've been to UAE, Oman, Morocco, and Tunisia. I have a friend from Tunisia who's a Christian. He writes in Arab cos that's their language. I've been to Egypt too. There's a hospital on the island called Coptic Hospital. That's our family hospital. It's owned by Egyptian. The paediatrician in charge is an Egyptian Christian. His name is Dr Nashed. There are Muslims too who work there. Religion in Nigeria is the opposite. We need to truly repent and follow the tenets of both Christianity and Islam, depending on your faith. Many of those you and I call leaders today would have long been forgotten and Nigeria would have been a better country. You can imagine a leader who fell so badly in the presence of 100s of millions of people watching globally, still having the audacity to say all he did was doobalę as a yoruba boy and democracy is worth falling for. In a decent country, he will be stopped from attending public functions temporarily and asked the VP to take over so he could attend to his frail health. Imagine people rushing to social media to justify the fall, mentioning other world leaders who had fallen like him...as if he's as busy as those they're comparing him with, those who can visit 3 or 4 countries in one day without delegating thehr VP, those who never even fell as deeply as he did with his entire agbada and body as seen on the ground. It's never too to late to change. |
TheSuperX:It's only in Nigeria we carry religion upon the head and a good reason we're where we are today, voting based on religous bigotry rather than Competence. It would have been good if we're truly religious in the first place. We claim to be religous, but we're a worst sinner. We lie openly, deceive ourselves, commit adultery and all manner of killings, we are a super corrupt nation. Try all these in Saudi, you already know where you'd end up Asalamualaikum simply means peace be unto you in Arab... are you aware there arabs who are Christians at all? How do you expect them to greet each other? Go to Arab countries as a non Muslim, you'd be greeted same way. |
IreneJane:Men like me? Please expatiate. Cos I've given severally on Nairaland and nobody knows or hears anything about it. Even the one we're planning right now isn't broadcast here or anywhere for people to see. If it is, then it's no more acceptable to God. Nobody can say he or she knows me in person here, those whom I'd impacted their lives positively. I remain anonymous such that, even when money is given out, its done by a 3rd party. You cant even trace the name. Natasha is a politician, it's normal. But before being elected, it has been her usual practice. She used to donate cars sef. I dont blow my trumpet and to those I've shown good deeds, who are members of NL,.please for goodness sake, when you see this comment, don't say anything. Just read and move on. What again do you mean by...if truly I was born into a Muslim family? I've just made an honest comment based on my personal observation. I don't want to introduce religous issues here but you and I know who broadcast good deeds the most. |
TEYA:Are you a Muslim? Where is that written in Quran? |
ecolime:Karma it is |
MightySparrow:A good comment . But we do that in my family though. Even when baba jakande was alive, he was always donating to the Christian fold during Christian festivities, politics apart. Sincerely speaking, I wouldn't know why such kind gestures were not common among other Muslims to their Christian counterparts. This isn't an offence just an observation. To a great extent I know the tenets and as a christian. If I were to follow the family tradition, I'd have been a sheik today and I don't think there's anywhere in the holy book where giving to Christians is forbidden. I stand to be corrected. |
Peeps, who remembers this....? ![]()

Terrible! So, was he later released too? I'd love to read that part. When an ekiti man made an explanation or passed a comment, you'd not feel bored, reading it. A well articulated account, I must say. Thank God for his life. |
Hi guys. It's been a while. My trip was smooth and amazing. Our business meeting cum training was also a huge success. By the way,I said in my last comment on this thread that I'd only come back here again whenever I'm ready to renew my TRV in case I need help...cos we don't know it all. The amazing news I heard made me change my mind. I was compelled to come here and share with you a piece of vital information to anyone who may be interested. There's a programme reeled out in Canada on the 3rd of June which I'd like to share with you. This will help the would-be japa peeps in embarking on a fast route to obtaining a PR. As a matter of fact, the PR will be issued on arrival as announced by the Canadian Government. Please read the link below on the Canadian official website for details. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2024/06/canada-announces-new-pilot-programs-to-support-caregivers-and-canadian-families.html If I were you, I'd just look for any caregiver school online, enrol and earn a certificate beforehand. This programme will start at the end of the year or at the beginning of 2025. The care giver's course won't take more than a week to conclude. As over 15m Canadian citizens are billed for retirement soon, caregivers will be needed to take care of their needs and there's going to be shortage of caregivers as anticipated. Good luck to you guys. |
Lol. What do you expect, after SA, their home country has ditched them. Other African countries are following suit right now. But in Nigeria, anything goes due to bad leaders who don't care about the people they govern, the masses. It's not a good time for multichoice right now as they're ready to sell out the company to a serious buyer. They can't joke with Nigeria, their major market right now |
wonder233:This generation doesn't know anything when it comes to charms. Magun is super real and highly potent. Was it the first time they'd been dating? They have been dating for 2 years according to the news piece, during which they could have seen each other many times. The woman was laced with magun by a rival male lover, simple. This happens all the time but only a few makes the headlines. They got stuck in same position, read again. That's what magun does. There's a type that would also cause the man to summersault. People should just discipline themselves |
Biodun556:Nothing like irony of life. That's how our politicians should behave. They're supposed to be our servants. The political office has been grossly abused in Nigeria. This is what Peter Obi does all the time. Since the first time I saw him in 2016, he's always been like that. |
Praxis758:Beeni oo. Being low key will also help him. Nobody monitors you. You sleep and wake up at will. I saw mr shittu the former minister of communication at the Abuja airport early this year, you wouldn't even notice him. He's just there with his luggage |
LibertyRep:I wonder oo. Why not flag off Nigeria air sef? Wait oo....but he said Emirates will resume flight operations in October recently. This man is fond of making noise as usual . UAE can't resume flight unless the visa ban is first lifted cos plane can't drop naija passengers in the moon, when the visa ban is still in force. Visa ban means no entry If Tinubu could lie on his open collapse at eagle square, him and his followers can lie on anything |
Fake news. There's food everywhere cos awa lokan. Tinubu the magic man, the lagos developer has provided enough food. The agbadorians don't eat agbado anymore as they're living in affluence |
Putindbutt:Read again Akpata not Obi, your nightmare. Oba was trying not to be biased. He made a similar comment when obaseki visited him. He said he had no preference and his duty was to pray for all of them. Obi visited same Oba last year and he received him well. Obi won edo, just to remind you. Make obi mata no kill you. |
Pascal9:Did you read my post at all? |
kimpuktu:Nope. He's my cousin's colleague at the University of Brunel years back. He's Very unlike his father who's unlettered. He's very intelligent and with a clean record. I also know him in person. If he can maintain his tempo, he'd be a credible politician with an uncontroversial past and record to look out for in Ogun state |
Good gesture. He really resembles his dad |
BossGerald:I understand you broda. Down south, you don't need fertilizer to grow crops. Land is naturally fertile, except in few areas. The entire south west is safe, except some parts of oyo state. I learnt makinde is on top of the situation already, a reason we've not heard of herders and farmers clashes in recent times. Transport will affect selling prices of vegetables but the impact won't be much, if grown on a large scale. |
Kalu, the man who hated his people with passion ![]() |
BossGerald:What changed? Nothing has changed oo. I'm still me. How's the going? I was just trying to talk to that moniker to set himself free from tribalism. Cos an Igbo pastor spoke the truth about the state of the nation, he came for igbo head. If a yoruba pastor had said same, he'd have called him either an obidient or an ipob, despite the obvious, just the same way they call us ibo cos we don't like identifying with evil. On agriculture, not everywhere is ravaged by herders. There are still safe areas down south. Despite the banditry brouhaha, vegetables still come from the north into lagos daily. Yes or no? Cheers! |
IyaTola:How are you IyaTola. Long time? I missed your inspiring quotes ![]() |
Here in Lagos,1 piece is 50 naira. This is the best time to venture into farming, esp in a secure area |
Good news but, will it work? They shouldn't keep the deliberations to themselves. They should seek the masses input. It should be a national debate. I propose 5 years, single term and with an impeachment clause, should the president plan to loot in that single term. |
BossGerald:This has got nothing to do with omo ibo of a thing. If a yoruba pastor said same, you'd still call him an omo ale or ibo, just the way like your likes called baba obasanjo. Let me tell you this....Nigeria is the only country in africa that is badly hit by the global inflation. Do you know why? It's not because we're over populated, not because we're importing. As a matter of fact, there are several developed countries who import almost everything, yet are doing pretty fine. The problem are corruption and government policy , which affects you and I. How can you remove subsidy and float the naira same time? In a poor nation like Nigeria? The consequences will linger for a long time and I'd tell you how....The manufacturing sector is more badly affected. Materials imported for production at 1,400 5 naira to 1usd for instance, and stocked in warehouses won't be exhausted until after 2-3 years and if the fx rate increases, prices will only go higher and people will suffer the more. No company gets its raw materials in the country 100%. They still need to order some materials or ingredients from overseas. Someone was just lamenting yesterday, talking to himself, saying how can one piece of pepper cost 50 naira, that he bought 10 pieces for 500 naira at mile 12 market around ketu. He didn’t know he was talking to himself. That's how bad the situation is right now. If you take 2k to the market, it doesn't buy more than pepper, tomatoes and tatashe. You can't buy any protein. We never lived like this in Nigeria before...same Nigeria you and I know and have enjoyed. Naira flotation was beneficial to the rich, their friends in quote at the expense of the masses. People are suffering man! Unfortunately, even if the policy is reversed today, nothing will change until after 4-5 years. People should brace up for the unexpected. This is the best time to go into agriculture but the government will never look in that direction. There are youths who are ever ready but instead of looking their way, they'd rather channel agric loan through state governors who would only give a fraction to thehr associate amd divert the remaining. |
Peacecore:I said he would lose lagos before the presidential election...go back and check my comments back then since you were among those who saw it then...did it not happen? His approval tating is even worse now here. Except you live in the moon would you not agree to this. Don't expect 50% of his 2023 vote in 2027 here. |
Jonjam269:Hope you get a voter's card? This is very important. I told you guys Tinubu would lose lagos before the election...your likes saw it as a rant and falsehood back then. I'm here again saying same. He may fool those of you living outside but not us in Lagos because we know him much more than you do. And if you're truly in lagos, cast your vote for him again. Nobody is stopping you. All am saying, which I also said before the election is, tinubu will never win lagos...and come 2027, he won't even get half if what he got last year with the hardship in town. Mark today and rant later. Ciao. |
