Greenfaces:Good idea but our main problem isn't importation. Go to those fast-developing nations, they import almost everything. UAE has no land for crop farming, Egypt relies on Nile and Saudi has no vast land. Its desert. Wonder why these nations keep thriving? It's because of good governance and vibrant economic policies. Their leaders won't buy or propose to buy a new jet except its really needed..they'd not say they're buying yatch when the masses are suffering and dying of hunger. In those countries, those we worship as leaders here would have been long forgotten. You know what I mean. They're the problem of Nigeria. Let me remind you of something, since 1960 , we've been known as an importing nation yet, our currency remained strong. My school principal in a sec school was a white man. Who wan japa dat time to go wash gutter inside cold? Leadership and corruption are the main problems of Nigeria not importation. We should stop making this mistake. What does Benin Republic grow which made their cefa overtake naira? What of a small nation like Ghana, whose GDP has overtaken ours? If the fed govt is serious, they should empower youths with soft loans to go into agriculture with close monitoring. We have the land but trust me, they'd never go that way cos they're not going to make anything out of it. They're so anti people. |
Sad! But Tinubu's followers are saying inflation is a global problem and Nigeria isn't an exception, that those companies can go for all they care. My question is, why are they advising tinubu to open the borders to allow food items into the country? Is Benin or Niger Republic not also feeling the global inflation? Why must we open our borders and allow food into the country if they're truly as badly affected as Nigeria? Why are Guinness leaving for another african country of Kenya and not back to Europe? Why are oil companies leaving for other African nations? As unintelligent as Tinubu's followers are, they claim tax was chasing them away . Whereas, Nigeria doesn't even tax them as much as other countries do which was also why their products were so cheap here. Coke in Nigeria isn't same price in Europe, likewise Guinness malt. This I know wella. The problem of Nigeria is Tinubu himself, since 2015. Buhari knew nothing about governance but he went and sponsored him. To make the matter worse, he went and floated the naira after announcing the subsidy removal...which reasonable and godfearing leader does that? He only ended up enriching a few with the policy at the expense of the 100s of millions of the masses, including his illiterate supporters. If you try and say the truth here, you suddenly become an omo ale or ibo. They're so tribalistic to the core. Our choices in life will either make or mar us. |

God is so great. I remember when MKO was granted interview by the press in those days about his wealth and worth. He said he's not even started spending from the wealth inside the drum yet, that he's still spending from the spill over. He also said he doesn't believe in what we call "agbana" in yoruba, which literally means a moth that eats money or the spirit that causes money to disappear. He said when that agbana enters inside the drum of his wealth, it would eat, and eat and then, die there. Today, it's a different story. God over everything. Anyway, May his soul rest in peace. A philanthropic being per excellence |
SaiOba:His likes are the loudest in action, trust me. Only an empty barrel makes the loudest noise ![]() |
90% of Nigerian homes who use refrigerators are guilty of this. God have mercy |
luminouz:I'm back already |
kedeojo:Where did I call him bad names? I'm not a tribalist like the majority of you guys. Elrufai appointed my brother, a yoruba man in his government. He's one of those ministers under obj who had aides across all ethnic groups. Those who don't know him closely call him bad names. After the exit of elrufai, has banditry stopped in kaduna? But they said he created it. Those who created boko haram, aka bandits know themselves. They're in government today. |
Enemies of the masses. If you had done well, that wouldn't have been necessary |
Our next VP has spoken. Shhh! Don't tell anyone. Rejoice Nigeria, real change is coming. We know why they're dragging Elrufai someone who moved kaduna to the pedestal of the most viable northern state and one of the best states in Nigeria economically. Obasanjo's appointees are those holding sway in the Nigerian politics today. |
FitCorper:If I start cursing our leaders every minute, it's not enough. When a leader is bad, the followers will follow suit. That's what we see everywhere today. Anyone who had been to manhattan in the US, especially when leaving the Broadway, shortly after the NY PA station, you'd see well-dressed American ladies everywhere who will smile at you naturally , when you're not even focusing your attention on them. Manhattan is like broad Street where you see lots of offices. When they see you and you happen to give them audience at the rush hour, they ask where you from...cos your accent is a trigger. The moment you say you're from Nigeria, l'obatan. They won't let you go without getting close. 2 weeks ago, a lady paid for my taxi back to my programme venue. No strings attached. They're having a change of mentality about us. We're no scammers. When you have controversial and super corrupt leaders at the helms , what do you expect? Disrespect and this has been going on from time immemorial. Look at those leaders, they taught most of the bad eggs and they became pros in it. There are a lot of them holding key positions today in Nigeria who were eigher jailed in the US over credit card fraud, or jailed for dealing drugs. Those are the people denting the Nigeria's image and most of those bad eggs are their coded couriers . |
fxexperts:Lol. Nothing is impossible. Fear politicians |
phemmyjohnson:The reason is simple. E get some money wey im bin wan steal, wey fubara don block. He must have had great plans for that money , maybe to build a.mansion in Abuja . Nigerian politicians get to power to serve their pockets, not the masses |
Soworę, soworę, how many times did i call you? They will call you tapa or ibo oo. I don talk my own. Amazingly obj is truly baba of all of them. He bears no grudges. That's a quality of an elderstatesman. Tinubu in his shoes will never try that. I remember what he did to obj when the latter was president. Very arrogant a man. |
Thevoiceupdate2:He was only kidding. I don't think he's serious about it. David is a giver |
Hun. It was predicted, wike ended up disgracing himself. He should have exited power and rested. He'd have remained a hero for life. I really liked the man but he's allowed ego to ruin him by pitching his tent with evil. I started withdrawing my likeness the moment I saw the mutilated and manipulated result sheets in places where obi had won in rivers. As if that wasn't enough, the irev postal later shew where obi later won in LGAs earlier declared for tinubu. Karma is real. To the local govt chairs who were loyal to wike, someone who had left power, una mumu na promax |
Isaacc729l:Have you been to Benin Republic? You'd swallow this your statement, if you do. Their cefa is even more valuable than the naira right now. |
Politicians are enemies of the masses. They're there for their pockets. No wonder they're always ready to do anything to remain in power. Your tenure has expired but you refused to leave |
Sapasenator:Lemme comment on your 2nd to the last paragraph. You're not getting richer but rather , becoming poorer. When you exchange the dollar to naira, does it buy you same qty of commodity you got 2 years ago? We have clients who also pay in dollars. By the time I convert it to Naira, ground don full but I'd only buy a little with that. I built my house when a bag of cement was sold for 2,800, just a few years back. Today, you know how much a bag of cement sells for. I came back from America a few days back. My return ticket was over 2m naira whereas, the first time I travelled to that country 20 years ago, I bought a ticket for 375k. Inflation is a global thing but Nigeria is hardest hit and no thanks to Tinubu's anti-people's policy. You have more worthless naira now, when you exchange your dollar to naira. |
hmohammed:Hun! Have you been to cotonou at all? Why are they smuggling food items incl rice, stains and tomatoes into Nigeria if truly things are more expensive there? Are you aware their cefa has left naira behind now and naira is the worst performing currency in africa today? Have you wondered why only Nigeria is shouting ebinpawa while other african countries remain calm? They now prefer to trade in cefa at the border than in naira. Nigeria is collapsing under tinubu guy. Ghana's GDP as small as they are, has overtaken that of Nigeria. That's not good news. Multinationals are leaving in droves and sadly, they're not going back to their countries ooo, they're relocating to other African nations. More people would lose their jobs and poverty level will increase That naira he floated after declaring subsidy removal is anti people, the worst mistake ever made by any president on earth. We're all feeling the consequences now abi your food dey drop from the moon? It will take a minimum of 4 years before things can normalise economically and that's if the has the magic wand, which I doubt. I pray Nigeria truly improves and things get better fast. The masses are suffering. |
Rexymania:Please ignore that teen called Scarrr . I ended up wasting my precious time on the illiterate today before i finally ignored him. He thinks everyone who doesn't support the drug trafficker cum serial liar with such a controversial past is non-yoruba. That's how shallow-minded he can be . I don't know of other states oo, but as far as lagos is concerned, he won't get 50% of the votes he struggled to get with intimidation and harassment last year here come 2027. Mr developer in the mud . He'd meet us on ground. |
Maski87:He can never be a poor man. 1bn naira is an insult to obasanjo, talkless of 100m naira |
seunmsg:He's simply playing the role of an elderstatesman. Now, I hope he's no more an Igbo man . With the Tinubu's outburst when obj was in office and the names his followers called him for supporting Obi, some men would not get close to him . Baba is a good example of omoluabi. A leader indeed. Mind you, he visited every president before Tinubu so, it's not news |
What do you expect? They can lie over anything. Even if Tinubu collapses and falls down openly,. He'd say he's simply doing doobalę as a yoruba boy. What a leader ![]() |
Brendaniel:Me too and I've been called me names wey my mama no give me on top. I take am resemble obj who was called worst names |
The network is so strong. It's from top-down. I pray it doesn't take time before Nigeria heals from these woes. What the NY Times said about this regime is mind-boggling. |
God1000:That's why I like what Niger is doing right now. You need to see those Africans who made it to US via Mexico through the land border..they're everywhere in America as I speak. You'd find them in malls asking to push your cart or arrange a taxi for you for a token. Most of them don't speak English. They're from Senegal, Burkina Faso and other African countries, looking wretched. Our leaders are wicked to say the least. |
Scarrr:I knew it would come to this as usual. I'd not act childish and emotional as you are cos your comment simply shows who you are. I thought i was engaging an intelligent fellow. I realised i just wasted my precious effort on an illiterate. OK naw, I'm ibo, efik and ibibio simply because I'm not supporting a renowned drug baron Hope you're happy now. Oniranu. Even if you call me a Cameroonian, I'd continue to speak my mind on Tinubu who said he attended children's home school in Ibadan, but my antie, an alumnus of the school never found his name on the list, from foundation of the school. What a controversial fellow. We await him in lagos again come 2027 and let's see if he'd ever get 50% of what he secured last year, by harassment and intimidation of voters. |
Scarrr:You keep saying yoruba, yoruba ,as if you're the only yoruba and those yorubas who don't share in your opinion or support tinubu are fake. Are you aware democracy is by choice and the same should be respected? What would you say of the pdp members who are also yorubas but also attacking tinubu, what would you call the likes of omoyele soworę? Grow up bro and respect other people's opinion. Not liking tinubu, who's just one among millions of yorubas doesn't make me less of a yorubaman. What wouid you call Pa Ayo Adebanjo? Tinubu was number 1 hater of the obasanjo's administration. Is obj he was attacking not yoruba? Had I said any evil of Yoruba nation, then you can attack me and call me a hater or fake. That's the last thing I'd ever do. You were here yesterday when one man was asking if Kashamu's son, a promising yorubaman, was also into drugs and I had to counter him. |
Scarrr: . I knew it. Please don't stop voting tinubu oo. Na your choice. I wish he dad jęjęlly picked and supported the likes of fashola or ambode, maybe you'd have been showering praises on me and those who booted Tinubu out in lagos by now for carrying fashola or ambode's matter on our heads. He won't stop receiving insults on social media so, expect more broda |
Scarrr:okay I'm coming out with my full chest.... Answer the below questions with your conscience. 1- what language does Issua Akoko Speak, Bini, Ibo? 2-Is Isua Akoko a yoruba, ibo, edo or hausa town? Google is your friend if you're not sure. Mr diggar . We were just split by river ose from Isua akoko and merged with edo by way of boundary formation and if correction is made today, we'd be back to our community and state cos we do everything together as the tradition demands. It's same Oba Issua's territory. I had explained this b4 but i know Mr diggar that you are won't dig this part . I can claim edo if I so wish as you just dug, but I prefer to identify with my root which is yoruba and lagos by birth. I'm not known in my dad's side. So, dig deeper into my profile. You'd find the caption there. I don't delete my posts cos no reason for doing that. They're all in the archive. If I claim lagos and you're calling me edo, I'd not say you're wrong. It gives me an upper hand over many of you. 3- where are the isua akokos from? That's my last question. I'm A yoruba man to the core, by name, by town, even by state as explained above. I was born, bred in lagos,.my mum na jakande cousin, dad too was born in lagos...so who am I..bini? Can you just check my moniker you tribalist? I've never changed my profile since I registered it on nairaland. I'm not like the man you're following blindly. I'm not surprised when you called baba obasanjo ibo for not siding evil . Where's tinubu from...iragbiji...but has he ever owned up to this? NO! Was he born in lagos like me, was his real mother from lagos? which secondary school did he attend and age, can.you tell? . What of our governor sanwoolu and his vice? Yęyę nrun bi igbę . Those who voted tinubu out in lagos esp in alimosho, are they non yorubas too?I'm sure instead of answering, na abuse go follow cos you don't have anything in defence. If you rain any abuse, this would be my last response to you. Stop tribalism today and Nigeria will be great! Ciao |
Scarrr:Shukudi ko, ngozi nii ![]() |

. Whereas, Nigeria doesn't even tax them as much as other countries do which was also why their products were so cheap here. Coke in Nigeria isn't same price in Europe, likewise Guinness malt. This I know wella.
