neoG:Say it loud, my sis |
PHIPEX:Say it loud!!! |
Namaster: ![]() Your mouth no good..to err is himan |
garfield1:Guy, you and your class mate never do this before? You be butty? All these acts make you strong and courageous in the long run. Let me share something funny with you. Last week I was going to turn at a place called meiran if you're conversant with that place in Lagos. As soon as the traffic eased and I was moving towards the turning point, a guy was talking to me so I wound down. I thought he wanted to tell me something meaningful. Meanwhile there was another guy to my right who was looking into the car to steal. I didn't know i was being talked to, by the one by my side to distract me. My earbuds were worn. Suddenly I realised the music I was enjoying was fading. I looked at the place where I put my phone, it wasn't there anymore. Meanwhile I saw a guy who dashed off my side, pretending to be clearing the road for me. I saw my phone in his hand as he pretended to be clearing the road and moving away. I quickly dashed out of the vehicle,.locked it and chased this guy. The other guy who was distracting me quickly ran to him and collected the phone and gave me back. I now went back to my vehicle. People around me didn't know what happened as I had caused a heavy traffic. That's one of the stuffs the secondary schl experience would make you become. I was like mumu before but that mumu was taken out of me and I became fearless till date. A butty person would just be looking as they run away with his phone. I fear nobody. I attend protests willingly and even address gatherings in the presence of the police |
JessicaRabbit:I didn't change out of fear. When you did something bad and you got punished. You sit down and ask yourself, so this thing is really bad but I didn't know all these while, until I got punished. I'd rather not do it again and even teach others the danger inherent in doing it or its consequence in the long run. My mates knew i was fearless in those days. I had beaten up a senior cos he seized my slippers and I got servery punished for that by his mates. I later realised it was a bad habit to beat up someone higher or older than you. I should have reported him to one of the teachers instead. Imagine I was pampered for being so unruly. I'd have continued until I'd meet someone stronger than I outside and got hurt or maimed. But i was stopped early and I realised it was a bad habit early as well |
I concur. We eat junks here in Nigeria. That's why many are haggard-looking. There's no butty anywhere. The difference is in the diet. When some people have the opportunity to travel abroad, their look changes in a matter of months, looking handsome or beautiful and clean. Every meal bought has got their RDAs of nutrition in it but you didn't know. You just ordered a meal without knowing what's made up of ![]() Nigeria isn't supposed to be this poor. We're the architect of the bad leadership in place. |
naijapips02:Indeed. But I could stand up and receive the American president's handshake. Read my previous post in this. Dey play |
JessicaRabbit:It changed me for the better. Each time I remembered those punishments, I'd behave myself. |
Wizzyonyxphoenix:See this one . My daughter graduated from one of the best schools in lagos. She's a 200L student in a reputable university studying medicine. The 2nd is an engineering student. Dey play.As standard as my daughter's school used to be, seniors would send them on errands and you dared not refuse, if you do, you'd be severely punished and you dared not report to any teacher. Bully can never end in schools. What I don't like is a form of undue physical assault. My daughter once told me she's been asked to fetch water and pour on a bare flow a couple of times at a distance. I simply smiled...cos that was small compared to what you called animalistic conditions we were subjected to, that have made us a better person today. What a generation of overpampered children are you people raising. No wonder morals are turning upside down. The other day, someone said no teacher dares flog his son, are you for real? |
3seriez:You've said it all. You just reminded me of my sec schl days. Nothing like it |
ThothHermes:Yea, excluding other fees, e.g the exchange programmes et al. I used to visit my friend there. I wanted to enrol my daughter but I later changed my mind. Not cos of money. I considered a couple of factors |
Chibuezem:Every form of correction is called bully in our society,SMH!. This takes different dimensions, mind you. If a student physically assaulted a fellow, it should be frowned at. But when a senior punished or scolded a child, don't raise eyebrows its not bully. When a senior punished you ober a wrongdoing, they call it bully nowadays. I've been called all manner of names in my sec school days and I've called my mates names too nobody died as a result. Till today, we still call ourselves those names at our physical set meetings, likewise on WhatsApp group. We'd just laugh over it meanwhile in those days, e dey pain us cos no be d name our parents give us. Nobody died as a result of these. We're raising a generation of over pampered students and we're ok by it. It's not right. |
ThothHermes:It's 5.3m naira sorry. I just confirmed it from a staff of the school..tnx |
Bully here bully there , yen, yen, yen. Our society is so rotten now. In my time a senior would ask me to go and pick my cutlass, he would take me to an open field and measure up to 100m portion for me to cut every morning before assembly. They would flog us with cane. You dare not report them Nowadays, we keep sparing the rod and spoiling the child. The so-called bullying nowadays were a commonplace in those days. They only made us become a much stronger generation. In many schools,.you dare not beat a student nowadays. Nonsense! In remember the first time I toasted a girl as an SS2 student...heeey, my senior caught us, punished me like kilodee. He said, so you want to end your career at sec schl abi? You want to end up in a village with her after integrating her? I can't forget that day. The fear made me to not have time for girls till I gained admission, graduated and went for my nysc before I knew what's called gf. The punishment really shaped me up. In 2016 @ Day waterman college where each student pays up to 5.3m naira per session, a student approached his teacher openly and wooed her, even promising to give her triple what the shool was paying her if she could allow him sleep with her. What bullying could be worse than that from a student to his teacher ? Yet, they couldn't do anything about it cos once the student reports to his parents that they're punishing him, they'd withdraw him and the school wouldn't want to lose money so they just ignored that.Who born that student in our time? Na to flog am openly for assembly ground and call his parents to take him away. That would be his end in that school and it's environs. Today, the reverse is the case. I imagine what the next generation would look like. |
walenden:As your application is being handled by an agent, its better to stick to his instructions. Good luck to you. |
GanagiBitrus:I hope the brainwashed youths are reading this |
Na Papa seun osewa school be dat. Is he from ekiti state? I'm checking...oh, its ogun this time...it's an ogun state name ![]() |
Moroccoguy:Let them create it first. People once said atm wouldn't work in a country like Nigeria where there's no network and robbers will steal the money inside it. Today, nobody remembers saying that again. Federal police have been seen snatching ballot boxes openly, arresting opposition without mercy so, saying politicians will use them to have their bidding is immaterial. It's just like saying Nigeria isn't ripe for electronic voting when those kicking against it watch dstv, livestream, watch Netflix , make electronic transfers in their in their remote villages, seamlessly. They know most if us don't know our rights as citizens so, they always have their way. If we can be protesting like we did during end sars, suing them to court without embracing tribalism, these people who are so minute will sit tight. They're not up to us in population. |
Nigeria shall be great again. We've been reduced to nothing |
chuksvin:You may try again later. I almost gave up trying when i was processing mine. You have 30 days to submit and 2-4 business days to have your passport back, if you are gonna pick it up at vfs office. |
chuksvin:Ooh.i see. Anyway, justice delayed, not Justice denied. |
Pele. There's nothing God can't do but if it's His will, another year is here before you know it. He makes all things beautiful in His own time. |
chuksvin:Try resend the otp cos it doesn't come on time. By the time it finally arrives, it would have expired. Check your mail and keep refreshing it after re-sending cos vfs otp may never come to your phone. Cheers! |
chuksvin:Nice profile . Congrats! But why your application com tey like dis naw. You get 5 years usa valid visa. Could it be that your wifey and kids didn't hold US visa as you did? |
2elliot:Crap. Go grab the sovereignty by way of killings. Only a daft like you would be comparing war between two countries with tribes agitating for secession within same sovereign state. In your daft mind, America will also supply you weapons to fight. ![]() |
He didn't even highlight the reasons Nigeria wasn't ready for it. Useless and illiterate people. All they know is collect ęgunję from governors and pocket it. Whenever the men of the underworld strike, they'd be saying their vehicles don't have fuel to reach the location |
igbosarejews:You don't know what you're saying. I'm in support of biafra and yoruba nation. You can't agitate for sovereignty by killing. It won't work that way in the 21st century. Ipob kills lawyers, obis, prominent igbo people...are they also in uniform? They kill both uniformed people and civilians. That's crazy. |
Zonefree:How many people have they killed? Their approach is more civil and intelligent than others'. The truth the FG and their mumu supporters don't know is that, boko haram wanted their own country too but they're being violent as the Ipobs in their approach hence, the prescription. Terrorists are killers and killers are Terrorists, pls note |
Racoon:If you talk too much, they'd shift everything on Peter Obi, their nightmares. Better limit it here. Nigeria requires urgent redemption |
Akwamkpuruamu:The earlier you know there are factions in the apc, the better. There several sub-parties inside the apc and they're already breaking away gradually. The elrufai faction is leaving, the Buhari's faction is leaving, the apga faction is breaking away. The kwakwansiya faction has left since. The amaechi faction is leaving. Before the end of Tinubu's term, only the tinubu faction will remain. Most of those apc governors will defect before 2027. This i know. When Pantami was appointed, I underrated him especially judging from his fanatical backgrounds and some allegations of him killing a preacher on campus which was later affirmed by the victim's father and his friends who were students at that time without being afraid of the man in power. He really did well as minister. But vengeance is the Lord's. If truly he was instrumental to the killing of that boy who was preaching on campus, he will face his comeuppance, that's 100% certain |
I know the APC will stop at nothing to frustrate him effort over there. I don't trust them |
Gentlesoul3268:www.10times.com. you'd find conferences that are relevant to your field. Just look up any country of interest. |
