mamawa123:Noted. I really do not care where visa is approved or issued too. I only wonder why locations are always different, instead of Nigeria's office only. The Bamako that you also mentioned in your comment suggests to me that the list of IRCC's offices handling Nigerian visa applications may be endless. I remember accra too in 2016 when my cousin was going to study in Canada. Anyway, they understand better. |
TheOgaBoss:Oshio baba couldn't allow him there. Oshio baba is his father in politics in his LG. If not the party he belongs, I respect oshiomohle any day. They love him so much in that LG. |
mamawa123:So, IRCC, Yaounde has joined the offices stamping Nigerian passports? Na wah oo. The other day it was Nairobi. Or could it be that its in transit to Nairobi? |
If you see where mallam dey speed, you'd almost vomit your heart. May their soul RIP |
Obaseki is fighting his last battle. SMH! Shaibu is a grassroots politician who was instrumental to obaseki's comeback. Hope he doesn't regret this |
Gamezi:If he can find his way into any of the western countries, he will blow in no time. They're looking for people in this field like they look for doctors and nurses. He should just be optimistic and work towards it. Some professions are not relevant here because of our stage of development. You can imagine fulani still moving their cows upandan in the 21st century. That's weird. I still wonder why they call us giants of Africa because were not leading by example. Many African countries have stopped open grazing over a decade ago. |
They once told me same too...that i was using juju to study lol, until a day one of my classmates tip-toed to where i was quietly studying. We were playing Ludo game. He didn’t know when i left their midst to read. He now confessed that they've been thinking i was using magical means to excel. Who juju epp? In whatever you do my people, be passionate, cos e get why. My talent has taken me before the American president as the only sub-sahara African and Nigerian to be so honoured. I had shared this here a couple of times. |
Imagine. Each time they say they do not want a state policing system, that the politicians will use them to attack their enemies. I keep asking those critics, why has the federal police been used to cause electoral violence and to snatch ballot boxes openly all the time? What about the EFCC being deployed to arrest and harass their perceived opponents? If the federal security agencies could be so used and abused, saying state police will be abused does not make sense. Those kicking against it have an ulterior motive. |
johnog4sure:Answers will never come because we have a bunch of sycophants everywhere. By the time they are tired of praise-singing, they will get sense. |
alexisok10:We the masses have a great role to play. We're the ones joining hands with the elite to corrupt the nation in the name of tribalism 99% of the time. One woman, a member of a leading pentecostal Church whose husband is a pastor of that denomination once told me that, omo ęni ko le shedi bębęrę, ka wa lo filękę sidi omo elomiran, which literally means, your daughter can't have a big butt and you'd would now wear bids on the butt of another woman's daughter. Mid March, she lost her job as a senior manager in a leading manufacturing company cos the company was running at a loss. The goods produced and kept in their various warehouses couldn't be sold. That's how far tribalism could go in marring one's career and life. Sadly, every tribe is guilty of this. There's no love for Nigeria as a country. Its been wired to be a chop make I chop system. But you and I can change this scenario someday. We always like running to the western world, who will vote a black man or Indian into key positions on merit but back home, its the other way round. Everybody faces wherever belle goes. Some psychophants in our midst aren't helping the situation. It begins with all of us. Someone is in his mid 80s but lied to you that he's just 72 years old despite the obvious all over him and you still went ahead and voted him despite his lies, all in the name of tribalism. These men don't give a hoot, even if people are dying. They'd only send condolences where necessary and more on. Their family members and associates are made for life. Its the masses that will always suffer the consequences of their wilful bad choices . A guy working for a leading indigenous logistics company as a driver took his wife to a general hospital here a few weeks ago. They told him they'd carry out a C/S on her wife. He had nothing. The general hospital could not do it so they referred her to lasuth. He phoned the ward Councillor, called the LG chairman, none to help. The chairman who would pick his call at first dial during election ignored his call. He mobilised a lot of his men for election last year, as if he'd be given an appointment. Eventually, he had to sell his land at Atan-Ota to enable him pay for the C/S. Imagine a general hospital saying they don't have equipment to conduct the surgery and billions go into that sector yearly? But they can fly abroad to give birth with tax payer's money. The real change begins with you and I. |
mamawa123:I understand you. But in your case, a decision was made based on your new application, not based on the one that was refused. That makes the scenario a different one from what the moniker had said above (you filled a new form, paid a new fee, etc) . Had your refusal of same application been reversed after the said letter was sent to IRCC and you got approved, then it would have been same scenario. |
mamawa123:I see. But yours was quite different. It's not same scenario. You wrote a letter of reconsideration with a fresh application but in the moniker's mum's case, the letter was written after the visa application had been refused or rejected and a few days later, the rejection was reversed and same application was approved. I've never heard of, or seen this before. New things happen everyday which people can learn from. Another case, though different from this, which I've never heard of before was the lady whose case I once shared here at the US embassy. Her bank statement was showing a an amount lower than the requested figure. Ordinarily, its supposed to be an automatic refusal. Imagine the VO asking if she could present another bank statement with the amount requested as a requirement for a student and she said yes. The VO placed her on admin processing while she ran up and down to make up the money. I'd have found it difficult to believe . It was my account statement she presented. Those were very rare scenarios. |
5454Darese:I see. Normally, you should have reached them first and booked an appointment for this purpose. The consideration letter after refusal is quite new to me and I hope people are reading this. That's why applicants should share their experience. It could be of immense help to others. What looked similar was a consideration letter written by a moniker in 2016 when I applied for my TRV and was waiting for a decision. She's a medical doctor who needed to go for a medical conference. she was to speak in that program as well. She had never been to any country before then. She said she wrote a consideration letter and submitted as part of her application and her visa was even approved ahead of others who were regular travellers. The IRCC invited her when she came back for a chat in their lagos office, during which they asked how did the conference go and they were touched by her letter so they considered her. Please take along what oluayebenz had stated in his response to you anytime vfs contacts you. Take care. |
What Is Really Happening Inside This LAGOS
I drove past there today. The traffic was hell. Latch your containers always, dem no go hear. There's no monitoring and enforcement at all. The container actually fell on the vehicle, the truck didn't ram into it. |
5454Darese:God don catch you. So,you're one of those silent readers who have benefited from the resources here but would just waka without sharing the good news abi ? Congrats! When did you apply for your TRV? Can you share the timelines? You may be encouraging those still waiting endlessly here. As regards the passport submission, there's a process involved,as you know and the VFS had initiated that already. You'd hear from them |
Electroweb:No transit visa is needed. |
Nonexisting1:My thoughts exactly. Late Ms Tolulope Arotile, may your gentle soul continue to rest in peace. |
Kaymanz:You're doing well. Why not come back and apply for the right visa instead of spoiling the show for yourself? It won't take up to 6 months before you're done with your app whilst you still keep your job. You could be in Canada with the TRV for much longer without achieving your aim, mind you. |
mrblake:Read this thread from the beginning, don't rush. |
Trustmea:In a responsible country, they'd be arrested. That's unacceptable. Boat ride on the ocean without a life jacket on is tantamount to a death sentence. Every life matters. That their nollywood needs to be scrutinised. A lot is going on in that industry which ears must not hear. |
garfield1:That doesn't address my point. It was same tinubu who was campaigning for Buhari in 2015 and said 250 naira to 1 dollar was very bad. Under his watch as the national leader of the same party, naira kept hitting the rock. He advised buhari to print more naira and it added to the worthless status of the naira. He came and floated it and naira kept falling until it hit almost 1,800. Now it's 1200 and you're jubioating, something he contributed hugely to its destruction? Smh Why is he rescuing the naira after he had acussed same party man (buhari) of doing same? Nigeria get problem no be small. And you guys are saying Nigeria should develop with psychophants like you at work? What a joke |
garfield1:Nothing is up yet. They caused the mess, from 702 where buhari left it to almost 1,800. Let them bring it down to below 702 then, you can say up them. Stop being a psychophant. A lot of people have died cos of the blunder tinubu committed. Many lives can never be the same again What he accused buhari and emefiele of( rescuing naira with the dollar) is what he ended up embracing. That's not commonsense |
Obinrin ti ko ba ę, one man down. My peeps, if hustling doesn't kill you, avoid anything that wouid cause women to kill you or your career. Same applies to female gender running after men |
Abi 99.99% . Which house in lagos does not use water from borehole? May Pa Jakande's soul rest in peace. After electricity, water is the next area, where the state government would have been raking in millions monthly but they can't dabble into such projects because of their shortsighted minds and corruption. They visit advanced countries and see things happening but they can't replicate same here. |
FreeStuffsNG:I'm not displeased. You can say I'm not yoruba simply because I don't join you guys in showering praises on the corrupt and incapable tinubu. If you could call Baba Obasanjo, Chief Bode George and other elders in our land Ibos, simply for not being psychophants , who am I to contest your stance on my ancestry? It's irrelevant. You've personally abused Chief Ayo Adebanjo here last year and I cautioned you. Which yoruba son does that? Before I talk, I have proofs. The Tinubu's Police orderly, whom he later crowned king, against the wish of the next-in-line is a story for another day. So, if there's someone who doesn't have respect for yorubas and our elders, you fit much better in that position. Have a nice day |
descarado:Everyone born of man is a sinner. Tell us if you dropped from the sky |
FreeStuffsNG:You're not from lagos. This I know. This osun man, why not Google what I just said and ruminate over it?. The matter happened just like yesterday, we cant forget. Anything done the wuruwuru way or with influence doesn't last. Check out those yoruba obas who were genuinely enshrined. That alone is a clear message to your likes, who don't care about due process. God over everything. We're nothing before Him |
Racoon:An 84-year old man congratulating a president almost half his age. I pity people following this old man blindly despite padding his age and snatching the position they'resupposed to be occupying. |
We4all:Hope you read the post. He wouldn't have been taken to the morgue, had the the medic not declared or confirmed him dead, note this. God showed him mercy. If true, he should just repent and get closer to Him. Its a rare opportunity. He'd have been chilling in the morgue by now after applying formaldehyde by the mortician on him to harden his body. |
FreeStuffsNG:You can't tell the lagos story as an outsider better than us. Google is your friend. The one who was supposed to be installed was sidelined. Meanwhile, i didn't make any bad comment about the late oba, it was a recap, which was a fact. May his soul rest in peace. After death, is judgement for everyone. |
damola1:One of those Tinubu's boys installed during his tenure as governor. The one who was to be genuinely installed was sidelined. He's still alive and well. We dey see things for Lagos. Anyway RIP to him. |
immortalcrown:Who is Tonto? I blame those who made her popular |
