This happened yesterday morning, I had a flight to catch at the airport by 9 and I left Ibadan past 7 with my Toyota corolla sport. Las las Ibadan traffic dey mild and as I entered that Lagos Ibadan express way oboy Audi mode activated. I was doing around 140 to 150 when I heard a loud bang and gbagbagbagbagbahba. In sub seconds my brain processed that na tyre and if I match break oboy the car go start acrobatic display. Las las I drag gear for neutral and car came to stop after few seconds. Damaged my bumper, sand protector and some part of the rim.

Next time I will make sure I don't go above 100 with a corolla that's if there will be a next time with one.
Asare tete, ko ni koja ile...even with 110 steady speed, you would have made it to the airport on time because the larger portion of the lagos ibadan highway is very good. Thank God you did not do the acrobatic display because at 140, you risk fatal mishap when a tyre gets burst, Hope you were able to catch the flight though.

And the breaking system is just so stupid and all. I wonder how corolla lovers cope

I don't think so except they don't go to the same market. Those sending money home from overseas for building or any other form of investment back home go hear am pass. Do you know the cost of building materials now or would they also send all the building materials home without clearing them at port? My cousin sending 300 usd home monthly for upkeep is complaining because what his family used to buy for 300usd can't be bought by 400usd anymore. Except his family wouldn't eat again or Children wouldn't go to school would he not increase or double that money. Don't forget that wages aren't increasing at his place of work in Yankee...same every every week.

Will a SE/SS vote for the North with their brother as VP? We know the answer.

Will the North leave a Northerner for a Christian southerner? We know the answer.

The SE is isolated and so is the SW, an alignment with the North is the most logical move for any serious region in the south.

This narrative would have made sense before 2011. I'm sure you could recall what happened back then. Northern electoral power was broken for the first time, in spite of their bragging. Jonathan, a Christian Southerner broke the jinx. In case you forgot, I can't.

Now Jonathan isn't from the south west yet, we voted him in large number...even ACN dumped their candidate and voted Jonathan. Was his running mate from Yorubaland? Namadi Sambo wasn't seen as a northerner. That was the time I knew how biased the core north could be when it comes to choice of a candidate. They claimed his great grandfather was from Etsako in Edo state. That alone affected his candidature and voting pattern in the north which made buhari clear the votes over there in 2011.

Is Jonathan an igboman? The answer is no, neither was VP zoned to igboland yet he won fair and square in the SE. Apga also adopted him as their candidate. Jonathan is from a minority group in the country yet he won outrightly, except in the core North. Some PDP members in the northern region even campaigned and voted against him. Likewise , some middle belt states who are religious bigots didn't vote Jonathan. The result was so slim in the pdp dominated states among them. I wish I could lay my hands on the 2011 electoral map and show it to you.

The summary of my epistle is, the north can't dominate in any election anymore. Obasanjo had also broken that cord of unity by splitting Nigeria into geo political zones which made each region realise where they belong. If a south southerner or a south Easterner should vie for the post of president today, the south west would vote him en mass and that's the essence of the southern governors meetings. They've seen clearly who the north are and the direction in which they were thinking. Did you know they broke the covenant of zoning which was why the southetn politicians formed an alliance with the CPC ahead of 2015 elections? That's north for you. They're serial betrayals from the world go.

Let's wait and see what happens. I foresee the 2011 scenario in 2023, May God spare our lives to witness and live beyond it.

I wonder if they ever learned any lesson in 2011 after they revolted against Jonathan. Elrufai almost fainted, seeing the results. The majority of votes which elected Jonathan president were from the south and Middle belt, which was what pat utomi was trying to clarify and made known to Baba Ahmed last night on Channelstv after delivering the unfortunate speech, that the core North could end up being on the minority side with the alignment of other ethnic groups.

Where was their so called game of number philosophy back in 2011? That was the main reason for the electoral violence which greeted the outcome by irate youths after buhari lost woefully. They think they can still see any candidate as popular and loved like bubu in 2023. I dey laff oo. They're here again.

Shock awaits them as usual. The last time i decked, the pvc collection rate and BVN registration rate were much higher in Lagos than in their most populated state of kano, wondering where the so called game of number comes from. No more election rigging with the electric voting system. We've got lots of parameters to measure population up north and what we have down south. The aforementioned 2 were veritable yardsticks. Maybe they'd throw bombs this time, should their candidate lose.

Blame the crises on the greedy pdp. Obaseki has never been a problem because we've known him since oshiomole was governor. The results seen at the polls were a proof that we knew and supported him. Nobody can say he's corrupt, unlike other governors. In all the rants of oshiomole, no single word came out of his uncontrollable mouth that Obaseki was corrupt. Whatever steps taken by him are in the best interests of edo people.

Who cares? Does the PDP still exist? The only thing that can save their ass a little is by joining the formation of a new party, which some apc members would soon brake away to form. That won't still give them much leap. If not for their inept rule, a party like the APC wouldn't be in power today. They just came and destroyed everything.

A virile party, composed of mainly technocrats and youths would be flagged off either December or early next year. We're working hard but codedly so DSS would chain us as they did Mailafia till his death. I wish his family could sue their ass.
