With or without Makinde, Oyo will vote for BAT. While your point about suffering is debatable, many would still choose the devil they know over an angel they don’t. The opposition is in a dilemma: if they both run separately, BAT will win; and if they unite under one ticket, they’ll still lose — because one of them would have lost his appeal to key blocs: the South East, Christians, and those who reject the entrenched structure of criminality.
Stop mentioning religion. It doesn't add up in today's politics anymore. It's an old tale. 2027 is near. We'll live to witness it. Amin
PoliticsRe: Google Maps updates renamed Lagos streets amid controversy by Eriokanmi:
Sadly, this doesn't stop the sufferings of the masses as seen today.

It's called misplaced priority. Tell them to give scholarship to those living in that area and they'd run away. Street name change doesn't stop who's making it from progressing while the residents keep wallowing in poverty. They're only setting bad precedents for themselves and children unborn.

We need each other to succeed in Nigeria. Tribalism doesn't pay. In an area where I once lived in Ibadan, an ibo man tarred the road, almost 4km from the beginning of anfani ,off challenge/ring road, down to college crescent and erected a transformer, which is still there till today. Those familiar with that area would remember. Those streets with new names will have to suffer neglect, because those named after those Streets must have contributed immenseley in one way or the other to develop not only the Streets, but the entire areas.

Most of them tarred the roads on those streets with their money, which the government of the day failed to do. Even if the entire asphalt is washed away, no single development will be done in those areas again. This isn't the best way to vent your anger. You do things logically.

That's not winning but massive rigging as seen in many states. I don't expect you'd agree though

Even if they merge on a ticket, can they win Kwara state in 2027? I’m almost certain they can’t, and for obvious reasons. By the way, it appears whoever wins that state tends to win the election. Besides, what’s their chance of winning population centers like Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Oyo, and Rivers? Lastly, the religious sentiment that attracted North Central and Christians to the Labour Party is off the table because it’s quite obvious, even to the blind, that the current APC leadership is more pro-Christian than even some Christian-led administrations.
The issue on ground isn't about religion but sufferings of the masses. Things have never been so bad in Nigeria, except you want to lie to yourself. Even those who supported tinubu in 2023, thinking he'd perform magic have been disappointed. Obi doesn't need to win kwara. the 25% is fine, which he can easily get. Quote me later. Without Makinde, tinubu would have lost Oyo woefully. Makinde worked so hard for him there. I don't see that happening again cos there's nothing he or any oyo politician can use as a campaign tool for tinubu as it stands. Obi did well in oyo, go and rewind the scenes. He will do much better this time and generally.

Did you hear what the CPC bloc are saying right now? Read the news.

This is the brutal truth cc penguin, Fergie, svoboda,Aminda
Oh, its not brutal truth that, despite spending so much on campaigns, the samefaith ticket arrangee, inducement of voters in the north, tinubu still couldn't pull the northern vote convincingly? Dey play. I just pray atiku steps down and Obi is supported for the ticket cos atiku will lose again, should he come out. North can't rescue him as south must complete 8 years whether they like it or not. Elrufai will do the needed little job in the north cos that's all obi needs to win convincingly even if the inec seeks to favour tinubu same way they did in.2023, the effect won't be much felt. All odds are against tinubu right now cos ahead of the 2023 elections, some people saw him.as Mr magician and the older architect of lagos as she had claimed so, it won't be business as usual.

The question all of you guys should be asking is, why is there so much noise about Obi and not atiku and others? Think about it.
PoliticsRe: 2027: North Doesn’t Trust Peter Obi, Atiku Can’t Defeat Tinubu – Anthony Sani by Eriokanmi:
Is it tinubu who dribbled them with a muslim-muslim ticket they'd trust? Make una dey play. It Is his opinion though, which everyone is entitled to. Of course, tinubu is good at spreading propaganda. He will do anything to sponsor propaganda against obi, even among his people but will fail cos people are wiser now. All odds are against him now as well, unlike in 2023.You've started the fake narratives once again. How come you guys not saying obi is a social media candidate again? I guessed its become a stale song right?.

Obi won 2023 election but they slapped him by conniving with the inec. We saw those flaws after the elections as they didn't perfect the rigging well. With the same faith ticket and massive rigging, tinubu, still didnt win north convincingly in 2023. North doesn't trust obi but he secured the much needed 25% in adamawa and others. How many apc states did tinubu win in the north? He even lost in the fct despite the well-funded campaigns. Obi spent nothing rather, we donated for him and we will do it again, even bigger. He's the masses candidate.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Elrufai will take care of the core north for obi. All obi needs is a little, from the core north. North didn't trust tinubu ahead of 2023 and they are vindicated already. CPC bloc won't vote him and their recent outbursts have shown. Onanuga had even made things worse for him with the recent 12m votes controversy. Words are like eggs.

Na shameless man. He's busy dragging tickets with those he's old enough to father. He was VP when Nigeria was still better, for 8 good years. He sold almost everything belonging to Nigeria to himself, proxies and friends. He won't taste that presidency. He was seen limping yesterday. He was even trying to avoid camera but he was captured. He's using official age like most of the civil servants in his era did. He's well older than the age is claiming.

With what I saw yesterday in kastina when Atiku attended buhari burial that man does not look like who we step down for obi Omo as I see crowd chanting sai atiku in the company of el rufai and tambuwal and ADC chieftains walking. Along side atiku how Obi wan take get that ADC ticket he wan vanish am?

Omo Obi 2027 bid is almost gone my humble conclusion is for obi to lobby for the ADC vice presidential ticket and run with atiku as simple as ABC. Make he no listen to any motivational speaker. To be number 2 man for Nigeria no be teeth. Even goodluck step down from his role as Governor as bayelsa to accept vp ticket so obi half bread is better than non.

My humble and sincere Advise sir
Please leave this man alone. Haba naw! Obi this and Obi that. Allow this man have his peace pls. All of you are only guessing. Focus on other candidates please, including tinubu the mister magician

Reno will be confused now on who to attack among the visitors
He'll single others out and pick obi for the attack as usual grin. Obi is his headache and I don't blame him. It's a normal thing. When a stranger enters a dog's territory, what do you expect the dog to do? He will try as much as he can, to chase away the stranger or opponent and retain his territory either by barking or biting otherwise, the following will happen.

1, the dog would lose his principal that feeds him
2, he will also lose his territory to the stranger and that could cost him his dominance.

They see obi as their only threat cos he commands the largest crowd in Nigerian politics today. They've seen his performance in 2023 and known the amount of his votes they cut off with help of inec. They've seen what we're not seeing but what can the innocent man do?
Car TalkRe: Why A Nigerian Professor Would Not Be Able To Afford A Car by Eriokanmi:
barika2011:
Buying a car is often a significant challenge for many Nigerian civil servants due to several factors. Firstly, their salaries are generally low compared to the rising cost of living and skyrocketing prices of vehicles, both new and fairly used. The recent devaluation of the naira and high inflation rates have further weakened purchasing power, making cars increasingly unaffordable. Secondly, civil servants frequently face delayed salary payments or deductions, disrupting financial planning and savings for major purchases like a car. Additionally, vehicle import duties and taxes in Nigeria are very high, adding substantial costs to car prices. Access to affordable credit facilities is limited, and interest rates on car loans are often prohibitive, discouraging civil servants from borrowing. Many civil servants also carry other financial responsibilities, such as supporting extended families, paying school fees, or handling medical expenses, leaving little disposable income for significant investments. Finally, poor public transportation infrastructure creates a high demand for personal vehicles, pushing prices further out of reach. Altogether, low earnings, economic instability, high vehicle costs, and financial burdens combine to make car ownership a difficult goal for Nigerian civil servants.
You've said it all dear friend. In summary, bad governance is the menace plaguing this nation. Let's join hands in purging them off our political space, come 2027.

Unfortunately, the last hope of the common man in person of buhari came and couldn't live up to expectations. We thought he'd replicate the war against indiscipline and the decorum his government had witnessed in the 80s in 2015 when he came back. From his performance,it became obvious that it was actually the late Tunde Idiagbon who was behind those amazing polices of buhari in the 80s.

No hope is lost bro. Please don't make a mistake of joining hands in bringing back this administration in 2027. Even those defending him are hungry and crying in silence.

I mean APC wey ruin the government for 8yrs.... Are u after better Nigeria or you are desperate for power.... Cos there is no way u can recruit same criminals to com and rule again
In case you've forgotten, I'd remind you of something. Pa Oyegun has left the apc since he handed over the baton as chairman, but unofficially. When last did you see him performing any roles or attending apc meetings? I remember him having a feud with tinubu in which they were pointing fingers at each other. If you belong to a bad company as a good man or woman, it's not bad if you retrace your steps. Afterall, to err is human

ADC coming up to challenge Tinubu's government isn't an act of desperation. Are you saying Nigeria is experiencing any improvement under Tinubu's administration in all areas? From number 1 economy in africa now to number 4. That tells a lot.

He didn't win his polling unit because he's left the apc unofficially since he handed over as chairman of the party. True. People should at least, respect the dead. But when a good mam dies, even the trees will feel it. Everywhere would be quiet. You don't need to tell a stranger something is happening . Here in Lagos, it was business as usual yesterday. Today, people went to work despite the emergency public holiday declared. Thays not a good sign. Northern youth were seen jubilating

That was one of Buhari's best legacies

When E-Bola came on board, he shouted, Subsidy is gone.

Yet, he had no idea how to manage the aftermath of subsidy removal.
That's why I always call him a jaujau president. He doesn't always think before acting. I remember the naira he floated too, which had plunged Nigeria into indescribable poverty and the highest level of inflation in the history of Nigeria 2027 will address all the nonsense he's done to us as a nation
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Body Leaves London For Daura (video ) by Eriokanmi: 5:24pm On Jul 15, 2025

It will be very difficult. Their children are not generals. How many of Obasanjo's children do you know? What about Babangida, Danjuma and others do you know?
You will soon see one of the OBJ's children become chief of army staff or chief of defence staff. He's now brigadier-general. They have their children in fixed positions in every parastatal for some reason. They don't want their names to be heard until they're appointed.

Here in Lagos, they're also there. Mudasiru Obasa, the current speaker is grooming his chld already. The guy wanted to impose him as agege LG but due to several attacks from the elders, he dropped the idea and put him there as vice chairman instead of LG chairman. Agege now has a Muslim as chairman and Muslim as vice for the first time due to his insistence on fixing his child who had no experience about politics there. The same faith isn't even an issue but the imposition

I hope the masses will be wise someday and stop worshipping them. Who says they too came to a different world and can't hold thise positions?
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Body Leaves London For Daura (video ) by Eriokanmi:

He didn't request to be buried in Saudi Arabia. Maybe an oversight or didn't think of death now.
In the next ten years Nigeria will be a better place. All those holding Nigeria down will all pass on.
But they have their children to replace their positions they exited. I wish the masses will reject that
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Body Leaves London For Daura (video ) by Eriokanmi: 12:23pm On Jul 15, 2025
Same day burial is for poor and less-famous Muslims. This is a confirmed statement, otherwise the rich ones would prefer to die at home, knowing they can't make it anymore and so, they must be buried same day in line with the islamic rites. At least, the Dr would have advised family members and the patients ahead, once they attain their end of life.

Similarly, sharia and amputation of limbs are only carried out on the poor while the corrupt politicians are always spared. This is why I like God's judgement. It's never biased, irrespective of your religion and nobody can appeal it.

Live in utmost fear of God. Nobody cares what happens to anyone so, take good care of yourself. Even the emergency public holidays declared is of no effect. Life goes on
