Erm, I think I really need to say a few things about the Ongoing Tiwa/Tee Billz drama. First of all, the person I blame for all these is Tiwa Savage... calm down, hollup, don't eat me raw yet.... let met land before you bury me.. yes I blame her for everything. First and foremost, you left all the eligible and single men in the world and went for an 'Undivorced Married Man', why?? She knew he was married with two children to another woman yet she decided to go on with marriage. What the heck was she thinking? That he would turn saint and not do same to her?? All ladies should know that if a man cheats with you, he will cheat on you.. So why was she expecting bliss with a fraudulent man. Was she not supposed to use her head like ' if this man can marry me without finalising his divorce with a woman he is married to and that gave him 2 children, what kind of man is he?'. No responsible man will do that. I remembered the internet caught fire over the marriage issue then and people were asking why was Tiwa marrying someone with a wife and children even Kemi Olunloyo said and I quote "Why is Tiwa Savage marrying a married man with kids and divorce not final? This is how Nigeria Celebrities screw up their lives". Imagine that. Did Tiwa's life not get screwed now ![]() That aside, Tiwa said and I quote ''I never wanted to divorce and I never wanted it to get to this. I have covered up for a lot of hurt in our relationship. I wanted people to believe this story that Tj is the head of the house.... We were living on eggshells because we never know what mood he will be in. Attimes I even pray that he is with another woman, so that way I know he is still alive and has not gotten drunk in an accident.''. Like seriously ![]() Why in God's name did she put up with his rubbish till now? why? she saw things that should have made her leave the marriage yet she stayed for reasons I don't understand. Was she waiting for a soothsayer to come tell her here is not your home, this is not your man. She stayed and stayed and tried to mend an already destroyed marriage. she was living a make believe live for the public who don't give her hoot about her. yes we don't care. After we have talked this matter now for days, won't we keep quiet? So why was she trying to please people while displeasing herself? She covered up a lot of hurts just to make him look good to people at the expense of what? I know if the guy had not come out to say all those things he said, she would still be covering and suffering in silence, for why now? So that she will be said to have a happy home? Even when the man was destroying her and the home in bits, she was still putting up a charade.. To the point of her preferring him to be with another lady than he dying. how did she get here? Shebi she lived in the Oyinbo country for a while, didn't she learn anything there? its our Ibile women who pull stunts like this and we say its lack of exposure. What other exposure does Tiwa need to know that the man would kill her if the need arises. Tee Billz is a damaged man. he is not responsible. I am not covering mouth and saying it. what man blames everybody except himself for his misfortunes. only immatured men do that. in his rant, he blamed everybody but himself. When he was taking cocaine, chilling with Edible Catering in hotel rooms, balling in debt, who did it for him? So why blame others for your stupid life decisions? He went as far as saying his father didn't stay with one woman and that's why he is like that too, imagine the jargon. When he was using his P**is to navigate routes up and down , did the father did that for him?? As children, we can decide to live better than our parents. we can decide not to allow our parents' mistakes rub off on our existence, I know of a certain young man like that who has every reasons to misbehave like his father but he chose not to and whenever I see him, I am always proud of him... ( the parent-child talk is for another time.) Like I was saying Tee Billz was damaged and Ties thought she could manage him ( Lol, the managee trying to manage her manager) but she doesn't know only God can change a man's state of mind and if he has not done it, no human can. Ladies, don't marry a damaged man. he will destroy you. if a man still has baggages he is carrying about emotionally and psychologically, LET HIM BE. Leave him. Don't think you can change him. you can actually by praying for him not by marrying him. You need him a better man, marriage won't make him a better man. Marriage won't make him less of a demon, infact the reverse will be the case. Now you know why I blame Tiwa Savage. I don't have anything to say to Tee Billz, he is a typical example of how stupid some men can be. when I call men names now, some persons will wanna have my head but the truth must be told. |

First of all, Congratulations in advance ,we passing out soon!!! on to the matter; I was gisting with a friend of mine yesterday, we talked about our savings from our alawee, i was amazed when he told me he has not touched his 6 months alawe, imagine 19800*6. I was like what have i been doing all the while with my alawe cos i cant boast of any savings Lol. After my chat with him, i went about asking my friends how much they saved, some said they saved 10k every month, some said they give 200 naira everyday to play Naija bet, some said NYSC money is drug money so they have no savings.I have a friend who served last year, after his service, he used his savings to buy a bag of rice, tubers of yam and some other food stuffs for his uncle who sponsored his education, then he got a bb, changed his wardrobe etc etc. I wondered if he'll have some change left for him.Well, i dont regrette what i used my alawe to do because they are tangible investments(conssoling myself). So i throw the question to you guys, including those that passed out since and those still serving. How much did/have you save/d and what are your plans/did you do with the money?. |

Our daily Personal Education Decision Category topic of the day is choosing between MSc. Program and Professional Certification. Before we start I wish to let you know that this is a form discussion in which you are free to contribute your opinion about each of the questions in our education decision category. It is important to understand that the content of this discussion will not only help the person that asked the question to us but also many other people who are currently trying the make the same decision about their education.I will start by giving the definitions of a master’s degree and professional certification according the Wikipedia.A master’s degree is an advanced academic degree granted to individuals who have undergone study demonstrating a mastery or high-order overview of a specific field of study or area of professional practice.1Professional certification, trade certification, or professional designation, often called simply certification or qualification, is a designation earned by a person to assure qualification to perform a job or task. Not all certifications that use post-nominal letters are an acknowledgement of educational achievement, or an agency appointed to safeguard the public interest.2 The definitions have thrown more light on these two terms and you have also got a sense of what each of them means. Along your educational or professional career, you might have to make a decision between enrolling of a MSc. Degree or a certification program in Nigeria.Imagine working as a Java Developer in a Software Development Firm and your developer colleagues have different Java certification or working in an accounting firm with young colleagues already had their ICAN certification, you will find it difficult to choose between doing an MSc program or profession certification. In Nigerian context though you can choose any of them but you have to first consider the following factors belowbefore you make your final decision.Career Promotion and AdvancementDon’t get it wrong. Irrespective of the one you go for, you will still be promoted when the need arises. But it is much easier and faster to get promoted with a Master’s degree in Managerial position than with certification (there may be exception if you have certification is in Business Management or related field).SeniorityMSc. Degree holder will occupy a higher position and gets a higher salary over professional certification holderwithout a master’s degree. This is not always true but in most situations the rule applies.Employment Opportunities in NigeriaCertification holder in a particular area will have an advantage in a position that strictly requires someone that will prove to have the required skills through certification and work experience than someone who obtained a general master’s degree in that field. Apart from that, master’s degree holder has an edge in other circumstance. My Personal OpinionIt is only in a few occasion will I advise someone to choose a professional certification over MSC degree but in totality pursuing a master’s degree to my understanding is far better than professional certification. From the above definitions, you can see that MSc. Programmes involve more detailed study than certification. Many certification programmes are so easy that you can stay at home, read the exam cram and pass your certification. Now over to youWill you choose MSc over Professional certification? We will be glad to hear your opinion on this topic. Tell us what you think. |
A lot has happened across the globe in terms of the development of education. This is especially noticeable in the developed countries where the value of education is held to the highest level. However, the story in developing countries is also changing. There was a time in Nigeria when having primary school certificate was not only sufficient, but it was valuable enough for you to present for job applications and you were sure you would get a good job. Then as time went on it became the secondary school certificate and then first-Degree. Today, a first-degree may not even be enough to fetch you a good job. The competition is higher now thanever. You need something more.Upgrading academic qualification is what has drivenquite a number of people into seeking Postgraduate Studies in order to increase the competitive advantage and chances in the labour market.Nevertheless, not all universities offer Postgraduates Studies and even those who do, do so at differing levels of quality.Let us here look at top 5 of universities in Nigeria that offer Postgraduate studies. The list is not really in any particular order.1. University of Lagos (UNILAG)This is one of the most popular/expensive Federal Universities in Nigeria (if you like, you can call it the ‘private-public’ University of Nigeria). Graduates from this citadel of learning carry themselves with a lot of pride. The Federal Government of Nigeria tried not too long ago to change the name of the school which was founded in 1962 to MAULAG – Moshood Abiola University of Lagos, and this move by the government was met with stiff opposition from both present and past students of the school. UNILAG is a good choice for Postgraduate students for several reasons. Its certificates are generally well accepted. It runs one of the fastest academic calendarswith relative stability. Barring all unforeseen circumstances, you should be done with your postgraduate programme in 14months.More information here:http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng/2. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)UNILORIN, one of the nation’s federal universities, established in 1975, is one of the go-to schools for postgraduate studies and evenfor degree courses. This has become possible because in recent times the school has been able to maintain a stable school calendar for about 7 years. If you are lucky to have anice supervisor and your thesisis not so difficult, you should be through with your postgraduate programme within a year.Get more information here:www.unilorin.edu.ng/pgschool/3. University of Nigeria, Nsuka (UNN)UNN is not seen as a major player in the league of schools that run postgraduate progammes, and this seemingly disadvantage is because of its location; it is notlocated in a city. This school that was established in 1955, remains one of the schools where you can obtain your masters quickly, in fact in less than a year, if time is a factor that you would consider in choosing a school, especially in the engineering and science studies. Though some other courses can take up to 18 months to finish (and this is not peculiar to UNN alone).Get more information here:www.unn-edu.info/post-graduate4. University of Ibadan (UI)Some say this is the ‘Harvard’ of Nigeria. Well, you will not say they are far from the truth, looking at the pedigree of the school. Being the first university in Nigeria, established in 1948 initially known as University College, Ibadan (UCI) before it was changed to University of Ibadan in 1962. Getting admitted into the school for a postgraduate study is always a herculean task. This is due in part to the number of prospective applicants for postgraduate programmes. Give and take, you should be through with your postgraduate studies within 18– 21 months. UI maintains a high standard in quality, therefore applicants must be prepared for hard work.Find out more here:www.admissions.pgschool.ui.edu.ng/5. Covenant University (CU)One of the most popular privately owned universities in Nigeria. The Chancellor being the very enigmatic Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chapel church. Since the establishment in October 2002,the school has changed the dynamics of how schools at all levels are run in Nigeria, holding herself to the highest standards obtainable in developed countries in the Western world. Regarded as one of the most equipped universities in the country, the school has won University of the Year Award more than once. Applicants can rest be assured that they will completetheir postgraduate studies in this school in record time of between 12 – 18 months.Find out more here:www.pgschool.covenantuniversity.edu.ng/admissions/ |
