A Kaduna based Medical Doctor, Clement Bakam, has died of complications from COVID-19.

The Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State chapter of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Abdulsalam Abdulrazak, confirmed this to our correspondent on Thursday, September 3, 2020.

Abdulrazak in a condolence message to the family and friends of late Dr. Bakam said, “On behalf of the chairman, I regret to announce the sad demise of our brother and colleague Dr Clement Bakam following complications of COVID-19.”

“Until his death, he was the Program manager, Kaduna State Emergency routine immunization Coordination Centre (KadSERICC)

“Our condolences go to his immediate family, friends, colleagues and ARD Kaduna. May God comfort us all.”

Pastor Arrested Again For Rape In Anambra A 34-year-old man Chukwudi Chukwumezie has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl in Anambra State.

The suspect, who claimed to be the pastor of Mountain Zion Deliverance Ministry, Ugamuma village, Obosi, had earlier been arrested for defiling a teenager at a hotel in Obosi under pretext of carrying out a deliverance session for her.

Chukwumezie was charged to court but reportedly jumped bail before he reportedly went after another teenage girl using same modus operandi.

Interim analyses of some of the suspects’ phones showed they were involved in some assumed internet fraud which includes online bitcoin scam, love scam and identity theft. Ebonyi State Monarch and oldest traditional rulers in the state, His Royal Highness, Eze Chibueze Agbo is dead. He was the Ogaba Idu II of Izhia Kingdom, in Ohaukwu local government area and passed on at age 81.

He ascended the Izhia kingdom traditional stool in 1978. His Eldest Son, Prince Chinedu Chibueze Agbo announced the news on Tuesday amidst tears and weeping by all present.

Prince Chinedu Chibueze Agbo noted that the Community has lost its leader. “The great protector of our people has gone to the great beyond”, he wailed.

Also speaking, one of his sons and former Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Ndubuisi Chibueze Agbo described the late monarch as an enigma and collossus.

Prince Agbo said, “He was among the founding fathers of Ebonyi State. He was the treasurer of the Ebonyi state movement.

He also attracted the College of Medicine to Abakaliki when the state was part of Enugu state amongst other legacies” The traditional Prime Minister of the palace, Chief Emmanuel Onweaka also eulogised the late monarch describing him as a peacemaker. He announced that the burial will take place on November 28.

A 48-year-old pastor, Nduka Anyanwu of the Lord’s Chosen pleaded guilty to defiling and impregnating two teenage sisters. Anyanwa was arraigned before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday on a two-count charge of defilement.

During the trial, the Police Prosecutor, ASP Roman Unuigbe, told the court that the defendant committed the offences sometime in June, at Oshodi area of Lagos.

According to his confession, he had canal knowledge of the two sisters, aged 17 and 13, respectively, (names withheld), on several occasions and impregnated them at the church complex, under the pretext of holding prayer sessions with them.

According to the prosecutor, Unuigbe the offences contravene Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 which attracts life imprisonment.

Following his guilty plea to both charges, the Chief Magistrate Mrs A. Adedayo, remanded the defendant in a custodial center and adjourned the case to Sept. 15, for facts and sentencing.

Twitter influencer who exposed Ogudu police officers for alleged assault and extortion revealed that he was stopped again.
